Miles Sullivan on surviving a brain tumor with keto!

In this episode, I speak with brain tumor survivor Miles Sullivan! I met Miles at the Metabolic Health Summit where he gave me a glimpse into his past and I immediately knew I had to have him on the podcast. He was diagnosed with drug-resistant epilepsy and has a brain tumor which led to him enduring two brain surgeries. We dove into the adversity this brought into his life and how he handled it. We talked about his metabolic and mitochondrial dysfunction that may have led to his condition. We discussed the power of the Keto community and how it, along with a positive mindset and never-ending gratitude has totally turned his life around! Michael Kayser on his son's battle with epileptic seizures!

In this episode, I speak with Michael Kayser and how his son Owen has dealt with epileptic seizures. Without warning, Owen started having seizures at three years old and the family had to adapt. They dove into the research behind the ketogenic diet and how it could be implemented to help Owen. After adopting a Keto lifestyle, Owen's seizures dropped from 100 per day to zero! Michael dives into the parenting strategies they've used while raising a son with epilepsy. He also illustrates what a day of eating a therapeutic Keto, 4:1 ratio looks like. I really enjoyed this conversation and I continue to be amazed at how a diet can have such a profound impact on the quality of one's life!
