Experiencing Joy Through Gratitude

— JOY! It's your choice. Every day! Does life leave you feeling hopeless and joyless? Are your intentions out of alignment with your actions? What choices do you make in life to Discover Your Joy? Do you know you can live in joy every day of your life—but—it is a choice! Joy is our natural default emotion. We came into this world as a joyful being and we are here on Planet Earth to bask in that joy and to expand our joy outward into the Universe. Valeria Teles interviews Louise Pistole — the author of " Discover Your Joy: Daily Splashes of Inspiration for Living an Abundant Life of Happiness, Blessings, and Inner Peace" Louise is a JOY-fanatic! She brings her Southern charm and joyful inspiration as she encourages others to discover their own joy no matter where they are on their journey. As Louise navigated her own difficult valleys in life, she emerged with a strong message of joy to share with other women. Her inspiration comes alive with real-life stories of hope, love, and faith. JOY really is her superpower! After a career of over 30 years in the financial industry, Louise made a decision to leave the business world and pursue her passion of writing. Her book, Discover Your Joy, was published in 2021. She shares her personal stories of love, laughter, holidays, kids and grandkids, along with all the good and not-so-good that life has to offer. With her writing, coaching, and speaking, Louise offers encouragement and inspiration to women worldwide. Using both practical wisdom and Biblical truths, she guides others to seek what they are missing in life and to become the best version of themselves. Louise spends many hours in her flower gardens. Here she finds the tranquil peace and serenity to fill her soul. Among all the plants and paths, there are numerous seating areas to give her places to ponder and write. It's no surprise that she uses flower images throughout her writing and on her website. After 45 years apart, she recently reconnected with her high-school sweetheart. They married on the beach and found their joy in a vacation home at the coast. Their love story was printed in the April 2019 issue of Sasee Magazine. Her life has come full-circle and she is grateful every day! Domestic Violence: A Quest For Change — A Call For Freedom

— Domestic violence is not a new issue in the military, nor is it a small issue. According to a December 2019 report to Congress titled, "Military Families and Intimate Partner Violence: Background and Issues for Congress," there were 16,912 reported incidents in Fiscal Year 2018, and "there has been little change in the rate or number of reported incidents … since FY2009." In fact, there has been little change in more than twenty years, as there were more than 18,000 reports annually as far back as 2001. And these are just the reported incidents. The Bureau of Justice Statistics found that law enforcement is notified in only half of domestic violence incidents. Lara's experience reveals the human side of these statistics, which affect not just those on military bases, but in households all over the world. Lara M. Sabanosh reveals her emotional decades-long story of fear, deceit, and abuse that ends with the disappearance and death of her husband. Lara provides a unique perspective of being trapped in the same failed domestic abuse system that she worked for, and is sharing her experience in hopes to bring about change in the system and mindset of the abused—they are not alone. Valeria Teles interviews Lara M. Sabanosh — the author of "Caged: The True Story of Abuse, Betrayal, and GTMO" Lara Sabanosh grew up in various parts of the country and for a time, lived overseas in Guantanamo Bay (GTMO), where she was an education service facilitator at the Fleet and Family Support Center and became acting director in December 2013. She spent much of her adult life as a wife, mother and student, eventually completing two doctoral degrees. Six years in the making, her new book, Caged, is an honest and introspective memoir detailing the never-before-told other side of an international, headline story, taking readers through the first twenty years of her tumultuous marriage to Christopher Tur, to events as she lived them on the night he went missing and the aftermath. Sabanosh is currently retired from government service, residing quietly in Pensacola, Florida, surrounded by her loving family, dogs, and grand puppies. To learn more about Lara M. Feelings And The Magic Of Presence

— "I recently returned from my summer vacation. As I was driving back to work, the thought occurred to me, "well I guess it's back to reality." During this trip there were so many moments of just being completely present, peaceful, contented, and full of joy. Then out of the blue, a new thought occurred to me...it's not back to reality now that my vacation was over, I was escaping reality now! This little insight reminded me of the fact when I experience deeper feelings such as joy, peace, and contentment, which seem to be more common on vacation, I am experiencing my true nature in those moments. I am present to life in those moments. I am feeling the TRUTH. When I go into my head about what is missing from the moment, what could be better, or what should or shouldn't happen, I lose my connection to those natural feelings. All those nice feelings I had didn't come from the cruise ship, the food, the friends, or where I was in relationship to the earth's equator. Those deeper feelings were ALWAYS there. They never left me; I left them. I had fallen right into the trap of thinking my feelings following the vacation were a natural response of what happens when you get "back to reality," when in fact it was my thinking fooling me, secretly helping me escape reality. How comforting it is to realize we don't have to be anywhere or go anywhere to experience "vacation feelings." So, from now on, "back to reality" is not such a bad thing. — writes Jamie Valeria Teles interviews Jamie Sellers, LICSW, PIP — A Licensed Clinical Social Worker With A Private Therapy/Coaching Practice. Jamie Sellers, LICSW, PIP is a licensed clinical social worker with a private therapy/coaching practice. Over the course of his 20 plus years in the field, he has worked with a wide range of populations, such as children with severe emotional/behavioral challenges, people diagnosed with severe mental illness such as schizophrenia, and those who struggle with anxiety, depression, and addictive/compulsive behaviors. His passion in life is to serve others by clearing up simple misunderstandings that lead to complex problems by pointing people towards their innate source of wisdom, clarity, and common sense. A part-time professional magician on the side, he also uses the art of magic to enhance his teaching. In this conversation, he will shed light on the "default nature" of mental well-being through sharing his own insights and personal/professional stories. From Weight Management To Miracles Of Self-Healing

— You're not only human. You're also a soul having a human experience. Your body is the vehicle through which your soul expresses its unique gifts and talents; your body is how your soul gets things done here on the material plane. Your body is also a sensory instrument through which you experience and interact with life and others, creating countless opportunities for your growth and evolution. Our thoughts about our bodies are much more powerful. They're generated within the body, and there's no way the body can't hear them. The mind is the body's ultimate Influencer. Spiritual Authenticity: Relationships, Devotion, Euphoria

— You can summarize Shamanism up in the word: RELATIONSHIPS. It is your relationship to everything – your voice, your body, your spouse, nature, literally everything. It is a way of being. It is a way of living your life. A way of seeing things. Shamanism, at its core, is all about relationships. Because of this, it is really NOT conducive to the approach of quick-fix, instant, swipe on an app, tinder-like experiences. A lot of people believe that shamanism is very theatrical, extremely visual, dramatic, powerful, sexy and trendy. It is easy to get sucked into that illusion. And it is easy to draw people in using those illusions. But Makhosi's approach, because of her understanding of energetic principles, comes from relationships: with people, with food, with nature, with your body, and your spirit. Because she is a spirit shaman, she doesn't work with plant medicine, she works with energetics and with the spirit of things, since everything has a spirit. True relationships are what unfolds over time. And over time, those relationships are based in DEVOTION. This is an important word for authentic shamanism. It is devotion to self and your spirit, not to something else. Rituals, tools, healings etc. are just facilitators. They are just tools and processes. True transformation unfolds over time. Some of it can be instantaneous, but lasting transformation has to be integrated into your being and who you ARE. It takes commitment and discipline developing these relationships over time. Valeria Teles interviews Makhosi Nejeser — The Royal Shaman, A Human Potential Expert, And Spiritual Ascension Master.
