Dr. Valerie Rein has discovered Patriarchy Stress Disorder (PSD) and created the only science-backed system for helping women achieve their ultimate success, happiness, and fulfillment by healing the generational trauma of oppression. She holds an EdM in Psychological Counseling from Columbia University and a PhD in Psychology from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology. Her bestselling book, "Patriarchy Stress Disorder: The Invisible Inner Barrier to Women's Happiness and Fulfillment" and her cutting-edge programs have helped thousands of women shift from survival to thriving and master the game of "How good can it get?" in their work and personal lives. Dr. Valerie is a sought-after speaker and trainer at conferences and companies committed to setting new standards of excellence in their industry in diversity, equity, and inclusion, employee satisfaction, their physical and mental health, and creativity and innovation. In This Episode, You Will Learn About: Invest in things that see your bigness Have a lot of compassion for yourself "You don't become a millionaire for the million dollars. You become a millionaire for the person you become in the process." Not trusting that you know what to offer was one of her biggest business mistakes Oppression is not our fault Patriarchy Stress Disorder = PSD Traumatic experiences are genetically transmitted We carry traumas throughout life Women have been carrying trauma for thousands of years Everything that was every 'wrong' with women, stems from thousands of years of oppression We don't have role models in the world of women living authentically PSD does not correlate from our accomplishment Nothing is wrong with women, it's not about the mindset, it's much deeper Trauma is any experience that made you feel unsafe, that led to you building trauma adaptions to make you feel safe A woman's power has always been a punishable offense Women want to be free. It is what we desire! Everything in our culture reinforces PSD, instead of making it better Be everything that you are here to be because that gives your children permission to do it too Our actions are decided in our subconscious She calls BS on 'money mindset issues' because the reality is that it wasn't until the 80's that women could take out a loan without having a male counterpart co-sign The biggest unconscious privilege of men, in this culture, is being believed in Fear of failure keeps women in her safe cell What is holding us back is not personal, it's the patriarchy 75-90% of autoimmune cases are in women Public shoutouts: Marianne Williamson: A Woman's Worth Meryl Streep on Instagram Resources: Website: https://www.drvalerie.com/ Book: Patriarchy Stress Disorder Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/drvalerierein/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/drvalerierein Being a wild woman means: "The woman who disobeys. 7. How to Homeschool and Run Your Business with Robyn Robertson
Hey you wild women! My next guest has fifteen years of experience in education, starting as an ESL teacher before joining a private school as an admission and outreach director. Her experiences traveling while home-educating had her questioning her past beliefs around parenting, how we learn, and the education system. It also highlighted the need for community. This led her to launch her podcast Honey! I'm Homeschooling the Kids, which is a platform to share ideas, stories and information about the joys and challenges of home education and self-directed learning. The podcast also serves as a place to bring together a collective voice for change in the broader education system. Currently, she's an unschooling mom of two, podcast host, and school board trustee. I asked Robyn to join me on Into The Wild because, during the time of the recording we have been asked to self-isolate and stay home. Because of this, we are now all homeschooling and trying to work from home. In This Episode, You Will Learn About: Many parents are now suddenly homeschooling and working from home We are all on this journey, whether we realize it or not we all make a difference in the world and why we are here is to complete that journey Her reason for homeschooling: To not have to stick to a schedule so that we can travel Our brain needs to be constantly learning in order to maintain our brain health Our natural curiosity become undermined as we enter the school system If we keep that curiosity going throughout life, we will be more confident Don't look to someone else to give you your meaning Homeschooling is like a mirror being held up to you You have to trust yourself My biggest mistake was trying to recreate school at home Letting your kids know that you don't know everything To have confident learners are a reflection between positive self-beliefs, motivation, and autonomy We are expecting our kids to be very independent right now, and many have never had the chance to. So we need to give them, and us parents, some grace, to be more independent Homeschooling also involves learning lifeskills. 4. How (and why) Copy Converts with Abbey Woodcock
It's really difficult to translate the things you do for other people with your own business. That's why excellent copywriting can take away the ambiguity in what you do or offer. My guest today, Abbey Woodcock, explains that copywriting is important from day one and that copy that's done well doesn't feel like copy, it's a conversation. In this episode you will learn about: Where you look is what you find Look to where you want to go "Not everything is a revenue event, but everything is a relationship event." - Brian Kurtz Don't think about the revenue that potentially comes from your network, think about the relationships Biggest mistake in launching a live event We have so much to offer the world than just raising children Equal opportunities for women means that we have to contribute in our own way Women can do anything! Interviewed an NYC state governor with her kid on her side Girl power! (Emergency doctor taking calls with a baby on her back.) Copywriting is important from day #1 Copy that's done well doesn't feel like copy, it's a conversation Wherever you're showing up in your business, you want that voice to be consistent It's ALL about your voice Common myths in copywriting Myth: if your product is amazing, you don't need copy. You still have to persuade It's an obligation to have good persuasion if your product is amazing Add curiosity in email The better you get at something the more imposter syndrome you will have (Dunning Kruger) Imposter syndrome is a sign that you're being ethical in your business The more you learn about a topic the more you realize you don't know Public shout outs: Be Present Box: www.familyacademy.co/bepresentbox Brian Kurtz Resources: Learn more: https://freelancecoop.org/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/abbeywoodcock/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/abbeywoodcockinc/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/lifeandwriting Book: https://www.amazon.com/What-They-Hear-When-Write-ebook/dp/B07SLNBDBW/ ---------- Renée Warren is an award-winning entrepreneur, a 7-figure business starter, and the founder of We Wild Women, a business dedicated to helping women launch their dream business.
