The reality is, we never give ourselves enough credit for what we have achieved in life. We compared ourselves to others or to a 'better' version of ourselves that we think we need to be in order to get what we want, or be more confident. When we have goals in life we tend to think that 'when we're better, stronger, smarter, more experienced, etc. we'll be able to achieve that goal' When we work towards a goal, it is in the fact the 'less experienced, less confident, less knowledgeable' version of you that is DOING the work to achieve the goal Being the better version of you, (the confident version of you), is a simply a consequence of you achieving the goal in the first place.
