She discusses how to improve digestive health and dive deeper into your nutritional protocol and how to optimize it. We talk about her love and respect for animals and the importance of knowing where your food comes from. We share many of the same beliefs and this was truly a great conversation!

In this episode, I speak with Meg and her journey of losing over 200 lbs and overcoming eating disorders. Meg grew up as the "big kid" at school and developed eating disorders at an early age. This impacted her very negatively and she was constantly avoiding interaction with others. She gained the confidence to pursue a healthier lifestyle after seeing others with a similar background turn their life around. We dive into binging, purging, and the downside of fasting. We also discuss the psychological aspect of reaching your goals and the importance of consistency, discipline, forming habits, and a healthy balance. I really enjoyed this talk as I relate to so many of the struggles Meg reflects on.

Tay Sweat on following a vegan-ketogenic protocol!

In this episode, I learn all about how to be a Vegan Keto-adapted athlete with Tay Sweat. Tay is the vegan trainer but he didn't start out like that. He was overweight and diagnosed with type two diabetes when he was only 15 years old. He decided to swap out the fast food for veggies and hasn't looked back since. We dove into the macro ratios he follows and what a typical day of eating looks like for Tay. We went down the rabbit hole of eating for ethics vs eating for performance. We discuss nutrition based off of ancestral history. We compare vegan and carnivore and we stress the point of doing what is right for you as an individual. Krishna Kaliannan on type 1 diabetes and starting Catalina Crunch!

In this episode, I speak with the founder of Catalina Crunch, Krishna Kaliannan! Krishna was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and epilepsy and looked to the ketogenic diet to help with seizures. In following keto to improve his symptoms, he realized he had to part ways with many of his favorite breakfast cereals. Rather than miss out on cereal, he decided to create his own!
