Ep. 20: John Bair on physical strength, inner strength, & healing
John Bair is a Life Coach, Strength Coach, Nutrition Coach and founder/owner of Bair Knuckle Strength. He runs a health and wellness studio in Fort Washington, PA, where, as one of his students explains; "He takes more of psychological approach to working out, and encourages people based on their abilities and needs". He has chosen to devote his life to serving others through health and wellness, because he himself had to overcome a dark, painful, abusive upbringing, along with losing his 2 best friends by the age of 25. When life hits you hard and knocks you out, most people stay down, because they are afraid to get back up, or don't have the tools to actually change. Too many folks live lives of quiet desperation, hoping things will just 'get better', without actually 'addressing the elephant(s) in the room', and usually end up right back on the road to nowhere. Having been 'scorched by the fire of life', John has come out on the other side and now offers 'buckets of water' to those still consumed by their own flames. He offers Group Classes and Semi-Private or Private Sessions locally, while also offering Online and Distance Coaching, to those who live further away. As a gift, John Bair would like to offer all the listeners of The Hammer Cast some courage to Change the Way their Life is done, by grabbing a FREE Digital copy of his book Rise, as mentioned in the episode: CLICK HERE - FREE BOOK You can follow John Bair on Social Media here ... Facebook Instagram YouTube Twitter Linked-In And if you're ready, John invites you into his BADASS Facebook Group: CLICK HERE -- Now, before you go off and go about your day, let me first ask: are you on my email list? Ep. 16: Pat Flynn & I talk about his Strong ON! cert
In this episode, Pat and I dive deep into a topic we both have gotten a lot of experience in: personal trainer certifications. Some are great - others...not so much. But the one thing most all of them have in common is that... ...they don't prepare you to work with REAL people! On top of that, they don't prepare you to properly select your tools to navigate the average person from point A to point B and beyond, how to deal with the psychology of most trainees, and how to transform your students from the inside out. This is where Strong ON! is radically different from any other cert on the market. The next cert is May 16th and 17th at the Dragon Gym in Exton, PA, and right now, Pat is offering a super generous early-bird discount for all those who register early. Click here to join us: https://bn198.infusionsoft.com/app/manageCart/showManageOrder Plus, I'm tossing in a few big, bodacious bonuses of my own. Once you've signed up, email me your receipt at aleks@alekssalkin.com and I'll send you: * My "Secrets of Strength" guide to getting strong the faster, easier, and simpler way kettlebells and bodyweight * My magnum opus "Strength Hacking Course" - a two-week course taking you through some of the best tips, tactics, techniques, and strategies for building real-world, no BS strength - collected from the top minds in strength and performance from around the world * A 1-on-1 video/phone consultation with me * A personalized prep plan based on our conversation to best prepare you to soak up the immense amount of information you're about to learn at the cert. The offer is only good for as long as there are spots available, so don't delay! Got any questions? Email me at the address above and I'll be happy to answer.

2x your strength in 20 minutes a day with the 8-week kettlebell and bodyweight challenge -> https://alekssalkin.leadpages.co/8weekchallenge/ With the explosion of the fitness industry over the last few decades, countless tried-and-true exercises have been bastardized, belittled, and betrayed in favor of newer, flashier (yet largely lackluster) exercises. One such move that's been mistreated and overlooked is the pushup. In this episode I talk about: * Why strongmen and wrestlers from years past to the modern era loved the pushup * How a proper pushup can help improve your military press * Its utility as a muscle-building exercise * Much, much more Tune in, listen closely, and enjoy!
