Leading Your Life from the Heart!
— "My passion is love. To become love. To be love. To open for love and to be in service to love. Love is a state of being, and never a demand. However, we all expect to get love from outside." – says Sabina Valeria Teles interviews Sabina Rademacher — She is a Love & Relationship Coach, helping women and men break through blocks and finding their authentic Self, so they can stop sabotaging love. In her work with women, she shows them, that we came here for something so much bigger, greater than strategies to attract and care for a man. Sabina's life has shown her all aspects of "what love is not". she had to learn it herself. Only when she started to focus on finding Her Self, her life changed. Sabina learnt that love is a gift, never a demand, but she – and we all - have been raised in a way, that we get love only when we are NOT who we are authentically, but behave in ways others wish us to, (from childhood on). We are trying to fit in. Being in international business arena for over 30 years, Sabina coached CEOs in international communication and leadership, where all conversations would always boil down to one sentence: "If I would have more respect, more understanding, more time, more love, then I would be happy, then I would feel better!" This led her to dig even deeper. Her journey led her to see where she was not listening to her unmet needs and wants and constantly trying to get them fulfilled from outside of her. Sabina found HER true values based on HER needs, was able to establish her boundaries and found her authentic voice again. This route helped her to Walk Her Talk and align to her highest goals, serving the higher good, helping other human beings who feel the longing in their heart for finding a deeper loving connection to Self and others, without losing their true authenticity and integrity. Through her own life journey, she was guided over and over back to one question: What would love do now? This question became the greatest gift in her own life. During her many years of living and working around the globe, facilitating, teaching and coaching in intercultural communication and leadership skills, she realized that in the end it all boiled down to the one core in all humans: LOVE! May Sabina's work "Being in Service to Love", which started in 2012 serves to end war of genders and bring peace to this world. How We Can Heal & Grow From Our Experiences
— "It is truly an honor to work as a psychotherapist and to have the opportunity to witness people as they go through the healing process. I am continually amazed by people's ability to transform their suffering into joy and to find meaning even in their most painful experiences. By developing compassion and forgiveness for oneself and others, I believe anyone can create a more fulfilling life." – writes Dr. Mary Deyo Valeria Teles interviews Dr. Mary Deyo — She is a licensed psychologist with good credentials, including a Psy.D. from Stanford and an MA from Columbia, as well as great work experience in community mental health, managed health care, hospital settings, and private practice. More important than her education or resume, however, is the wisdom Mary has gained from working with people from all walks of life. What she has learned from the hundreds of stories people have shared with her over the years is that we all struggle, but that we can heal and grow from our experiences. People truly are resilient. Mary Deyo earned her Doctorate of Psychology through the PGSP-Stanford Consortium Program and her Masters in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University. Meditation: The Journey Within
— As a mother, Ingrid Marquez who has watched her son struggle with heroin addiction for almost 13 years, she understands the heartbreak, fear, guilt and the tremendous amount of stress and anxiety one lives with 24 hours a day. Years of trying to save her son, watching him deteriorate, seeing him going in and out of rehabs, jail and close to death, Ingrid realized that she had also lost herself in his addiction. How could she continue to help him or be there for her daughters if there was nothing left of her. This is when she began to go deeper into her studies of meditation and the practice. She knew in her heart this would be her saving grace and it was. Ingrid still of course worries and still cries at times but her practice keeps her present and in the moment. She no longer feels that she is falling into the depths of darkness and despair. She is living once again and so very grateful for all those who have helped her on her journey. One of the most important lessons that she has learned, is to be kind to yourself, honor your feelings, have boundaries and seek help to cope with the vast range of emotions that will come. Remember to take time for yourself and Just Breathe. You are doing your best, One breath at a time. Valeria Teles interviews Ingrid Marquez — She is a Chopra Center Certified Meditation Instructor and creator of IM Meditation-In-Motion. Ingrid uses her expertise to gently guide students to a place of calm, where they can achieve internal peace and stillness. She is compassionate, dedicated and passionate about the work that she does. Her holistic approach and connection to nature, helps promote an increased sense of wellbeing, and creates a space where students can express themselves freely; letting go of all anxiety, fear, and stress. Source Completion Therapy: Cleansing & Allowing Healing To Happen
— "To live a healthy and enriched life, our past emotional wounds—like bodily infections—must be cleansed and allowed to heal." – From the book Give Back the Pain. Valeria Teles interviews Dr. Robert Bleck — the author of "Give Back the Pain: Emotional Healing Through Source Completion Therapy." Veteran educator/researcher/psychotherapist Dr. Robert Bleck has devised a simple, but effective 3-phase therapeutic approach to eliminating the lingering effects of painful past experiences. Believing that we all suffer from at least some emotional wounds as a result of our past experiences, especially those who have been abused, Dr. Bleck put his mental health expertise to work on developing Source Completion Therapy (SCT). Incorporating all the effective, significant psychological theories widely in use today, SCT takes us on a journey of personal exploration and emotional healing built on the theory that we can only break free of the disabling effects of our hurts if we (first) become fully aware of their true origins, (next) re-experience the pain, and (finally) complete the healing process by confronting those responsible for the pain. In his book, Give Back the Pain, Dr. Bleck creatively provides snippets and case histories that help us see our own behaviors among the many symptoms SCT addresses. An easy-to-use self-hypnosis script aids us in becoming fully conscious of the events that created our symptoms. And options for giving the pain back to its source (completing) are offered. Robert T. Bleck received his Ph.D. from the University of Florida. As a former professor, he has taught counseling and psychology. As a writer and innovator in the field, he has appeared on radio and television shows throughout the country. He is founder and director of the Source Completion Therapy Center in Plainview, New York, where he puts his therapeutic principles into practice. Gender Equality For All Human Beings
— We are limited by outdated gender stereotypes, both men in their lack of access to a wide range of emotions and caregiving and women in their limited access to leadership and power. It's in our best interest to move towards flexibility and being instrumental or nurturant as circumstances require. This means we stop telling boys not to cry or be like girls and stop telling girls to be nice little ladies. We need to encourage girls to go into leadership and STEM fields of science and technology and boys into caregiving professions. The consensus of our experts is that boys and men are not permitted to show vulnerability. This prejudice shuts down even being aware of some emotions, which is why EVRYMAN and other men's groups begin with identifying body sensations. Asking for help may require being vulnerable, which fits in the "threat to masculinity" danger zone. This fear of being perceived as weak contributes to men's health problems and a higher suicide rate. Being shut down emotionally also inhibits men's intimate relations with people they love, one of the reasons why women in English-speaking countries are much more likely to initiate divorce than men. Femininity is seen by sexists as weakening to precarious masculinity and can increase the fear of intimacy. Progress certainly isn't a straight line upward, as evidenced in the sexist cult led by Donald Trump. George Simons finds in international surveys that about one-third of men support gender equality. Gayle Kimball is hopeful because Generations Y and Z tend to not limit themselves in regards to their gender roles or skin color. They have models to emulate as they assume more political power, learning from Nordic gender equality programs, Danish emotional literacy instruction for children, research on boy's development (like that done by Andrew Smiler and Warren Farrell), and supportive groups for boys like those developed by Jerry Tello and Ashanti Branch. Promundo and MenEngage provide models of how to involve boys and men in activism for gender equality for all human beings. Valeria Teles interviews Gayle Kimball — the author of "A Global Dialogue on Masculinity: 33 Men Speak."Gayle Kimball, Ph.D. is an intuitive coach who teaches clairvoyance and healing webinars, and is the author of over 20 books. They include other titles for parents and kids: 50/50 Parenting, The Teen Trip: The Complete Resource Guide, Your Mindful Guide to Academic Success: Beat Burnout, Everything You Need to Know to Succeed After College and Climate Girls: Saving Our World. The Magic Of Storytelling
— Storytelling dates back to the beginning of time. In fact, stories are perhaps the strongest bonds we have with other nations and races. Australian aborigines painted symbols from stories on cave walls to help storytellers remember their tales. The Egyptians were the first people to write down their stories; and the Romans, through their travels and conquests, were adept at disseminating stories. The purpose of storytelling is to share stories that unite us. Regardless of our culture, stories bring us together and bridge the gaps among us. They're also tools for learning and exchanging ideas. But, not all storytellers are created equal. Surely you've noticed that some people are wonderful storytellers, and others just make you yawn. The idea of storytelling is to relate events in words, images, sounds, and embellishments. It is a way to convey the emotional power of information. Author and professor Robert McKee, in his book Story, says, "Stories are equipment for living." In fact, when a story is told well, the listener is transported on a journey to a new place. – Writes Diana Raab In this episode, Valeria Teles interviews her, Diana Raab — She is the author of Writing For Bliss: A Seven-Step Plan for Telling Your Story and Transforming Your Life. Diana Raab, MFA, PhD, is a memoirist, poet, blogger, speaker, and award-winning author of nine books. Her work has been published and anthologized in over 1000 publications. She frequently speaks on writing for healing and transformation. She's been writing since the age of ten when her mother gave her a Khalil Gibran journal to help her cope with her grandmother's suicide. At that early age, she realized that writing made her feel better and helped her heal from life's challenges. She says that she's spiritual but not religious. She views writing as her spiritual practice and she writes every day. Raab blogs for Psychology Today, PsychCentral, and Thrive Global, and is a guest blogger for many others. She's editor of two anthologies: Writers and Their Notebooks and Writers on the Edge; two memoirs: Regina's Closet: Finding My Grandmother's Secret Journal and Healing with Words: A Writer's Cancer Journey, and four poetry collections, including Lust. Her latest books are Writing for Bliss: A Seven-Step Program for Telling Your Story and Transforming Your Life and Writing for Bliss: A Companion Book. The Alexander Technique: More Awareness — Less Pain
— According to recent figures, back pain has now reached epidemic proportions with millions of people across the globe experiencing severe muscular pain every year. In fact, over 4 million people now search "lower back pain" into Google every month. Most are suffering completely unnecessarily, as the root cause of their pain stems primarily from poor postural habits while performing everyday actions. But help is at hand with Back in Balance, an easy-to-understand practical book designed to help readers discover the cause of their own individual back problem and offer them an effective and lasting solution to their suffering. This essential guide draws on many of the principles of the Alexander Technique, a practical way of releasing muscular tension throughout the body. Helping the reader to discover how their posture and movements may be having a detrimental effect on their health, this guide offers new ways of performing daily activities, with the aim of reducing muscular tension and stress on the bones and joints—and making their lives pain free. The experience of the Alexander Technique actually puts you in touch with your own true essence, an experience that some people may not have had since childhood. It can give us the power to alter our consciousness, which can allow spontaneous gratitude to take the place of negative thinking; since our consciousness has no limits, there is no end to how attentive or appreciative we can be of this amazing existence. The more aware we are, the more alive we will feel and the greater our capacity to enjoy life will be. — Rightness is the drug of choice. What most people don't get, however, is that you have to go to WRONG to be right. And, the biggest fear we have (aside from death) is being wrong. We don't consciously know that is our fear. So being right, not wrong drives us, and we're not even aware of it. And because we're so afraid of it, we use judgment to defend our rightness—we judge everything and everyone because we are simply so afraid of being wrong. Valeria interviews Barbra Gilman — She is the author of "Whatever The F*CK It Takes and The Unofficial Guide for Living Successfully on Planet Earth." The Experience Of Peace & Enduring Well-Being
— We each have a quiet center at the core of our being. Living in the world provides a multitude of opportunities to distract us from this. Instead of peace, we experience stress, turmoil, and suffering of all kinds. These experiences are not necessary ones. It is possible to live in the world and transcend suffering. What this requires is understanding and connecting with the enormous power of the mind. The mind training program of A Course in Miracles aims to remove the barriers to accessing the quiet center, and beyond that, the limitless love that is our true nature. In her blog, LivingfromtheQuietCenter.com, and in her mindfulness coaching work, Cristina Sorrentino Schmalisch shares ideas and practices inspired by A Course in Miracles, with the goal of promoting the experience of peace and enduring well-being. Valeria Teles interviews Cristina Sorrentino Schmalisch, PhD, MSW — She is a psychotherapist and mindfulness coach. In her therapy practice, she specializes in treating anxiety and psychological trauma, using frameworks in psychology and neuroscience to help her clients heal and resource their internal world. Cristina received her bachelor's degree in psychology from McGill University, her doctorate in brain and cognitive science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and her master's in social work from the School of Social Work at Boston University. Before becoming a psychotherapist, she was a researcher in child development in the psychology departments at New York University and Stanford University. While training as a psychotherapist, she also participated in clinical research on the nature and treatment of hoarding disorder. She is a co-author of a book on hoarding and three research and clinical articles on hoarding. Cristina was introduced to meditation and to the ancient teachings of Hinduism over 20 years ago through attending yoga classes in the ISHTA tradition. She later meditated with a sangha grounded in the teachings of Tibetan Buddhism, with an emphasis on non-judgment and loving awareness. She also studied Emei Qi Gong and learned to heal strong emotion to better access the calm center. Ten years ago, Cristina was introduced by a colleague to Gary's Renard's book, The Disappearance of the Universe, which is an entertaining and informative introduction to the book, A Course in Miracles.
