Protecting What You Know To Be Sacred

This episode is about mystical activism, consciousness, healing, and divine reality. My guest is John Robinson. John C. Robinson, is a clinical psychologist with a second doctorate in ministry. He is an ordained interfaith minister, the author of nine books and numerous articles on the psychology, spirituality, and mysticism of the New Aging. John Robinson is a frequent speaker at Conscious Aging Conferences across the country. His new book, Mystical Activism: Transforming a World in Crisis is available on Amazon. Robinson explains that the word mysticism simply refers to the firsthand experience of the divine. It is the moments when the mind stops its chatter, perception heightens, and we subtly experience the sacred Presence that pervades Creation. It's a breakthrough of the divine into personal awareness. Mystical consciousness arises from this same awakened, thought-free, sacred awareness. Everything is perceived as sacred, including us, for the Beloved has become the world and everything in it. This awakening of perception leads naturally to Mystical Activism for we act now from a conscious unity with Creation and instinctively strive to protect her. In the process, we experience the kind of world we want to live in. This is "mysticism in action!" Psychology and Art: Changing Perception

My guest is Silvana Ravena! She is an artist who connects psychology and art. A former Clinical Psychologist, Silvana holds degrees in Art History, Art Therapy and a master's degree in Visual Arts. She has showcased her art throughout the US, Brazil, and Europe. She received prestigious international prizes in the USA and Germany and her artworks have been featured in several international art publications and TV art shows. Silvana says that the human soul is her greatest source of inspiration. And of course, I asked her: What is the soul? The connections between psychology and art have been Silvana's passion and the constant subject of her paintings. The intention of her work is to motivate people to creatively question what they are seeing, and to get in touch with their innermost being. She says that art is a type of embodiment in which experience creates matter that creates experience. It is a sensitive phenomenology that awakens perception by addressing the senses directly. The Quest for Peace: Respect and Understanding

In this episode, I talk to Rabbi Poupko about the connection between religion and wellbeing, as well as the dangers of religious intolerance and the freedom religious people have in the United States. As an orthodox Jewish, Rabbi Poupko has encountered people in the United States who were clearly dedicated Christians. Each and every encounter reflected a high level of mutual respect and understanding. Historically speaking, the United States has been the first country in history to not only successfully create a full-fledged secular democracy, but to be the first one to allow people with radically different religious beliefs to live side by side in peace. – writes Rabbi Poupko Rabbi Elchanan Poupko is a speaker, writer, teacher, and bipartisanship advocate. His TEDx talk "The High Price of Political Polarization", focuses on the impact current hyper-partisanship has on us. Rabbi Poupko has been published in more than twenty publications including The Hill and the Wall Street Journal. I Lost Over 100 Pounds: My Weight Loss Secret

We're all too familiar with the diets and cleanses that we set the intention to embark upon, but are never quite able to follow through with. Why is that? We think we just sabotage ourselves with unhealthy food, but the reality is that we sabotage ourselves with disregard for what we need most to feel good…. unconditional self-love. Weight loss is not about managing food, but managing your thoughts, beliefs, and feelings around food. When we become so fixated on the goal of losing weight that we forget to consider our own needs, thoughts, feelings, and emotions, how can we expect to see real results? - This statement was found at Gooddeciosions.com If this is a topic you relate to, you will find this interview helpful. My conversation is with Patricia Baisden. We talk about weight loss, acceptance, faith and more. Patricia has faced challenges with self-image since she was a child, which resulted in weight fluctuation over the years. She has come to accept herself as a creature of God which has enabled her to see the value within herself and empowered her to lose 105 pounds!
