Episode 172: Things That Could Be Affecting Your Marketing Today and How Digital Marketing Could Look Like In The Future
In today's episode, we are taking a look at the current state of digital marketing, what could possibly happen in the future to digital marketing, what that means for your veterinary practices digital marketing and how to set yourself up to be prepared for possible future changes in digital marketing. Digital marketing is becoming increasingly more popular and now a more competitive market with the entry of huge companies getting in on mediums like Facebook and Instagram. Digital media has surpassed traditional forms of media (Radio, TV, Print, ETC...) Here are some things you should be doing and also may want to consider doing in your veterinary practices digital marketing. For starters, you should be minimum on both facebook and Instagram and be running ads. As well as have your prework setup for your ads, make sure funnels are set up and you have content that is being produced and posted regularly. Having offers to rotate throughout the year is a great way to have your digital marketing making money for you! Another way to help set you up for success is to diversify your traffic sources to help your digital marketing perform better, consider running ads for your content and not just offers as this will boost engagement and help drive in clients to your practice. Build an email marketing list and send emails regularly. Drive customers that are actively looking for a vet to your practice using google ad words. A huge benefit of google ad words is that its real estate isn't limited so you can be seen more frequently by more people And lastly, own as much of your media as you can. That includes email marketing, text message marketing, physical address mail marketing, push notifications, and more Be sure to listen and let me know if you have any questions, comments or need help with anything!

Episode 171: 8 Tips To Attract Attention And Make Your Marketing More Effective
In Today's episode, I share a few tricks to use to get your veterinary practices digital marketing more attention and help your digital marketing stand out to your audiences. I will also be sharing with you how you can get your content and offers more attention because let's be honest, your offers and content can only work so much if they aren't getting enough attention. A few things to try to increase the attention your digital marketing is getting is to: Copy, Improve, Implement. Take past content or even past offers and copy the structure of it but improve the offer or content idea and then implement it in your marketing Be Unexpected Rule #1 don't be boring! Boring content does not get attention. Being unexpected in a fun way will attract more attention to your content Brainstorm Come up with at least 10 new ideas for content even if they are crazy because there might be a few that are just crazy enough that will work. Make Your Marketing be about the clients Try to focus your marketing on the clients and your audience, what's in for them to come to your practice and why do they need this special offer in their lives? Getting Straight to the point with your content Too many times people get wrapped up in blog post of videos being a certain length to help with algorithms that they often add unnecessary fluff to their content. The best way to have your content do better is to get straight to the point and not adding extra filler to your content Get an emotional response to your content Getting an emotional response can be anything from happy, funny, sad, anxiety or even angry. Evoke emotions by targeting issues that need to be addressed or even common client pain points Be Authentic Being yourself and talking about things you are passionate about is the best for content for people to relate to you and actually be interested in your content. and Curiosity Everyone is curious and everyone wants to be in the know, use that to your advantage. Be sure to listen and let me know if you have any questions, comments or need help with anything!

Episode 170: How Much Should You Know About Digital Marketing?
Have you ever been overwhelmed with your veterinary practice's digital marketing? In Todays Episode I talk about how much should you know about digital marketing? It all comes down to what is your job? If you are the practice manager but you have a marketing team for your practice then you only need to know so much but if you are the marketing director or the person in charge of the marketing you should have a firm understanding of marketing. For people in the practice who are not running the marketing but manage the marketers, they should have an understanding of marketing basics and general principles of how funnels work, how to take customers through each phase of the funnel (awareness, evaluation, and conversion) and how to turn strangers into returning clients at your veterinary practice. For the marketing professional or marketing team, they should be very well versed on the ins and outs of digital marketing and how things run and should be running and how to effectively have the veterinary practices marketing work. as well as be very aware and have a very solid understanding of all aspects of digital marketing. Understanding where the traffic is coming from, what the practice goals are, proficient, and communicate with the marketing managers or practice managers what is the best way to execute to reach goals. A tip to have your marketing run a little smoother no matter how is in charge is I would suggest setting up campaigns and KPIs in your veterinary practice digital marketing that are easy to track as well as setting up a dashboard of the 10 most important KPIs to your marketing to easy check if they are working. Be sure to listen and let me know if you have any questions, comments or need help with anything!

Episode 169: Using Email Marketing To Grow Your Practice
Email is extremely useful for any business but especially still in 2019. Email is a medium you own! Unlike Facebook and other social channels where you are essentially renting your space for your ads and promotions. In today's episode, I cover using email marketing to grow your veterinary practice. I also share how to attract more people into your email marketing lists, how to get the most out of your email marketing, types of emails you should be sending, how often you should be sending them, and most importantly how to use your email marketing list to grow your veterinary practice. There are 4 types of emails you should be sending out to your email marketing list Transactional- Selling something to your clients or reminding them of upcoming or past due services, procedures, medications refills due, and special services awareness months. Relational- Furthers your relationship with clients or helps them take the next step to commitment. Asking them to subscribe to your podcast, following you on your social channels, or subscribing to your youtube channel. Promotional-Sends and lets clients become aware of specific pieces of content that will be valuable to them. and Informational-Lets you educate your clients on specific topics, Awareness months, tips of how to care for animals during holidays and upcoming events. Each of these types of emails should minimally be sent out at least once a month and having one email going out at least once a week to really maximize your email marketing. Another way to maximize your email list is to segment your audience and send them relevant offers and content to them. For example, dog offers to dog owners and cat offers to cat owners. Additionally, each email should have one clear purpose and one clear call to action. Be sure to listen and let me know if you have any questions, comments or need help with anything!
