IE180 Dr. Sri Kumar Rao: Personal Mastery for Extraordinary Impact: The Rao Institute Method for Transformative Life, Leadership, & Career Success

In this week’s episode, Amrit interviews Dr. Srikumar Rao, Ph.D. in Business, a life coach, TED speaker, former business school professor, best selling author, CEO of The Rao Institute and creator of The Creativity and Personal Mastery Course. This course shows students how to discover their unique purpose, creativity and happiness through group work and a philosophical perspective, and helps thousands of business executives all over the world discover deep meaning. Find out more about it here: https://theraoinstitute.com/learn/ Joy, peace and connection are inherent to all human beings, so you can flourish every day with the joy of just being who you are. When this happens you are more effective in your work, and if everybody in a business undergoes this same experience, the culture changes, it transforms. Everyday becomes a journey of personal blossom and business growth. Learn how to create joy no matter what else may be going on around you with “Happiness at Work: Be Resilient, Motivated, and Successful - No Matter What” by Dr. Srikumar RaoAmrit and Dr. Srikumar Rao, talk about spiritual development. They dive deep into the journey of working on yourself to live a life of great achievement and deep fulfillment so you can take your career, business and life to the next level. Learn how to define your personal ethics and goals, how to reach them, and start a journey that will last a lifetime with “Are You Ready to Succeed?: Unconventional strategies for achieving personal mastery in business and in life” by Dr. Srikumar Rao.Dr. Rao believes you have to be focussed on the journey and not on the outcome. The purpose of setting a goal and achieving it, is to learn and grow as you level your best to achieve that goal. Once you understand that and get comfortable with it, you will find that you are applying it. When this happens, you stop focusing on the outcome. When you set a goal for yourself, you must take care of your actions. All your energy and attention must be on the actions and forget about the goal. Being consistent, objective, and when something doesn’t work out, switch on to something else. You learn through failure. And it is all a question of learning and growing, learning and growing. Learning and enjoying as much as you can all along the way. Dr. Srikumar comments that lots of people in his program want to find their purpose. You don’t find it, you create it, and you can start doing it wherever you are with what you have at hand. But he strongly affirms that whatever you do, has to make you happy. And this shouldn’t make you happy just for a moment, it should make you happy for weeks. When your heart sings for a long time, your life lightens up. You begin to enjoy the journey. You shine and vibrate, and your energy gets magnified. In this state of bliss not only can you be in service to many others but also attract the people who align with you.   With Dr. Rao’s approach to reach your goals, there is no way you will lose. If you don't reach your goal, you will have learned so many things in the process trying to reach them. And these things are extremely valuable to yourself. With a heart that sings, a mind at peace, and an accumulated pack of learnings, you will become who you truly are and be more resilient no matter what comes your way“When you don't worry about destination and enjoy the journey, you get to destination faster”Amrit and Dr. Rao, talk about the ethos of service and why it is a fundamental pillar to reach joy and fulfillment, and build a business. He believes in the desire of being in service to a better cause. When you give good customer service, it becomes the outward manifestation of the person you are. No matter what, your service must be good. It will make your customer like it, happier and feel comfortable. It will make the world a better place and it will enable you to continue working on yourself.Last, but not least, they talk about the mindset an entrepreneur must have on this spiritual journey, the daunting feeling of hiring the right person or not for your business and the best ways to shift our perception of the world to improve who we are.Every entrepreneur must think of “one more step” in times of failure. When everything doesn’t feel right and you are failing, taking just one more step will help you pull through. Dr. Rao refers to the book “Lone Survivor”, about Marcus Luttrell, the only member of a team of four who survived an operation in Afghanistan. When he was asked how he did so, he attributed it to the extremely tough “Hell Week Seal Training” and declared the only ones that survive this training are the ones that take one more step. Hiring the right person or not, shouldn’t be a daunting experience. Dr. Rao talks about the beautiful and amazing Universe, and all that it gives to us is for a good reason. The Universe gives us all that we need to be able to learn and grow on our journey. Whether the employee is the right person to hire or not, for sure it will be a learning and growing process for both the employer and the employee. If you want to shift your perception of the world to improve who you are, invest in coaches, books and courses and all that takes you to another level of consciousness.“Always make it a point to consciously and deliberately surround yourself with people who are on the same path of personal growth. Your job is to help them and when you need help it will come to you” Level up your life with unlimited access to every Mindvalley Quest Program (over 30+ programs). All Yours. IE179 Colleen Gallagher: Life Transformed: Childhood Cancer Survivor turned Digital Mogul - Empowerment, Healing, and Success Unveiled

In this week’s episode, Amrit interviews Colleen Gallagher, a Global Citizen, social media influencer, heart-centred intuitive business consultant, educator, podcast host, author. She has written three books, and the recent one is  “An Uncompromised Life”Colleen is the founder of Colleen Gallagher International, an online global business to empower people to gain clarity on their purpose and help them transform their lives and change the world, through courses, retreats, products, and social media content. Through this experience, they can deepen their spiritual habits, understand the power of expression to attract opportunities, and take purposeful action toward growing a sustainable impact.Amrit and Colleen talk about Colleen’s story, the one that gave birth to her latest book “An Uncompromised Life: Overcome Trauma and Heartbreak, Experience the Unexplainable, and Truly Fall in Love with Life ''. This book involves twelve lessons revealed by compromising her soul to please others instead of pleasing herself. Get it here: https://inspiredevolution.com/recommends/colleen-gallagher/At the age of fourteen, Western medical doctors told Colleen it would be challenging for her to get pregnant after being diagnosed with cancer; she would have to be medicated for the rest of her life. In 2017, she left her corporate job, moved to New Zealand and self healed herself off medication. Then got immersed into online digital marketing, traveled the world, went back to the United States for her masters and finally moved to L.A. to pursue a Ph.D. in Psychology focussed on Global Leadership and Change.Colleen had an unhealthy and toxic relationship with a guy which led her to compromise her soul. She was living a life always pleasing him and was utterly unhappy. This relationship took a turn. One day sitting on the beach with her mum, she realized she had co-created a co-dependent relationship. She became aware of this when her mum told her that the only reason why she had her was so she would not be left alone with her dad and his family.Twelve hours later and after this distressing yet revealing conversation with her mum, she found out she was pregnant; it was an unplanned pregnancy. Conscious about the toxic relationship which was compromising herself in every sense and her own upbringing, she faced a life changing decision and chose to let her child go and had an abortion. In this heartbreaking yet beautiful awakening, the soul of her child appeared. The soul was called Ella and Colleen adopted her in her life. Colleen heard God and the voice of her daughter in her head say “Never compromise yourself for love”. Her daughter Ella was there with her, in her heart and soul. IN that instant, Colleen learned what it truly meant to fall in love with life, find herself and find the power in living a life uncompromised to the soul. Having gone through the journey of letting go and learning how to fall in love with life, together with Ella she wrote her third book.  Colleen strongly believes that sometimes horrible, traumatic, and heartbreaking things happen to us so we can grow into our full potential and affirms that Western Medicine is not the end all be all in diagnosis. â€œMy story is to let others know there is hope and they can have a new narrative”Amrit and Colleen dive deep into the importance of letting go and learning how to say no. It is very difficult to say no to things you love, but by doing so, you can focus on the things you MOST love. Last but not least, they converse about her favourite chapter in the book “Finding Love” and the importance of education through connectivity with technology. In regards to connectivity with technology, Colleen set off on a journey to combine social entrepreneurship and academia. Combining business and spirituality, using skill sets in communities and on technology to advance this world together. Colleen wants to guide people to have the same opportunities we each have in developed nations by using technology. She wants to educate corporate leaders to connect with their soul and make an impact from the heart.“Love is the most powerful force on the planet” About Colleen Gallagher:International Speaker, Published Author of 3 Books, Online Course Creator, Oracle Deck Creator, World Traveler, Educator, Social Media Guide, and Retreat Facilitator.Colleen is passionate about empowering business leaders to use their voices on social media to create freedom and impact. IE178 Oz Garcia: Master Longevity & Wellness: Key Secret Strategies for Ageless Vitality

In this week’s episode, Amrit interviews Oz GarcĂa, nutritional counselor, anti-aging consultant, speaker and the best selling author of several books on the matter.Oz Garcia is the founder of The Longevity Lounge, a clinical destination for anti-aging and beautification services. He provides customized longevity plans for his clients.Amrit and Oz talk about all that it takes to live a long and healthy life. In his early twenties, Oz used to live against his beliefs making his public view more important than his value system. He used to be a photographer who drank coffee several times a day, smoked cigarettes non stop and suffered from migraines which no doctors were able to cure. He knew something was wrong underneath the surface and began to explore new alternatives. He began to frequent one of the three available health stores at the time, where he discovered a whole new concept of functional eating and bought the book “The Miracle of Fasting by Paul Bragg”. Soon after reading it, he did his first fast. Concurrently, he took a course in the Landmark Form before known as EST training and began to get involved in several courses. He also took classes at the East West Center for Holistic Health, where he experimented with new alternative methods of health and healing. He slowly made the transition to a healthier lifestyle. He became a vegetarian for a number of years, started fasting, cut out coffee and cigarettes, and started running. Soon his migraines were gone too. At the age of twenty four, Oz embarked on a transformational journey that has brought him to where he is today. Ever since, he practices what he preaches and strongly believes that the driver of this transformational journey is all about being passionate, curious, creative and always wanting to know more. â€œI finally made a decision about what I wanted out of my life. I knew I didn't want to be in an artificial world”According to Garcia, lifestyle adjustments in what we eat, how we think and how we exercise are necessary as we get older. He says there are ways to slow the aging process and live well. Nutrition, exercise, meditation, sleep, food, and time outdoors are critical, but cultivating intelligence, thinking, passion, community, and our “self”, are equally as critical.Amrit and Oz dive deep into the importance of cultivating each one of these.Oz believes good thoughts overwhelms bad impulse, and once you understand that, then you can start making choices. Sometimes these choices are not the right ones, but you learn from them that helps you go further along the journey. In regards to cultivating thinking, you can regulate what you're thinking and what is worth suffering over or not. Destructive emotions result from errors of judgment. In regards to cultivating community, this is central to human experience. Having a sense of belonging unites us. Being a part of a community can help you connect with others, engage with others, and boost your physical and mental health. Oz supports this with the story of a lady who lived to be one hundred and six. We all need to cultivate a better life and it always begins with how we take care of ourselves.According to Garcia, to be able to cultivate our “self” we have the obligation, among many, to invent ourselves or reinvent ourselves in ways that leave our mind at peace to switch to a place of joy. Joy is peace in motion. He emphasizes on spending some time of the day thinking about what kind of a human being we want to be and journaling on a daily basis. He refers to the ”Five-minute Journal”, gratitude exercises that will help you sharpen your ability to focus on the good things in life, elevate yourself, be happier, improve relationships, and shift your mind to being positive. The more you do these practices, the more antifragile you become, therefore more authentic and more sincere. Oz shares some ways to regulate what is going on with your body and dives into how important it is to listen to people that have already mastered that space.“You have to earn your health, and discipline must be your shadow. Being disciplined comes with so many human rewards”In drawing things to a close, Amrit shares a beautiful proverb to the secret of living well and longer…“Eat half, walk double, laugh triple, and love without measure”Level up your life with unlimited access to every Mindvalley Quest Program (over 30+ programs). IE177 Jonni Pollard: Vibrate Higher: Master Vedic Wisdom & The Golden Sequence Secrets

In this week’s episode, Amrit interviews Jonni Pollard, a recognized meditation and wisdom teacher, speaker, author of “The Golden Sequence: A Manual for Reclaiming Our Humanity” and host of the 1Giant Podcast where he is interviewed by curious minds looking for insights on meditation and the wellbeing of our humanity.Get Jonni’s book here: https://inspiredevolution.com/recommends/jonni-pollard/He is the co-founder and executive director at 1 Giant Mind, a multi-national charitable organisation established to reduce stress related mental illness and lifestyle disease by delivering free digital meditation and education programs to those in need.Jonni believes that the actual global crisis we are all undergoing is ingrained in our disconnection from our true purpose and responsibility of belonging.Amrit and Jonni talk about the importance of rediscovering your authentic human nature, learning how to reclaim it as your greatest power, and finding fulfillment through seeing the change and impact you can make in the world. As far as Jonni can remember, he instinctively has been devoted to honouring his spirit. As a teenager he had a foundational perspective towards humanity which he wasn’t willing to let go of. It was hard to conform with things that had no meaning to him, so he would define himself in some other way that society was demanding, becoming rebellious and isolated in his own beliefs.Jonni had a deep desire to belong, but this non-acceptance was causing a deep pain in his heart. This eventually led him to India where he engaged in the teachings of some of the greatest masters. He received insight and support in the process of his revolutionary awakening.Jonni discovered who he truly was and embraced it, who we are as a species and our responsibility as individuals. He adopted the foundations of how to process every speck of information that could then render into knowledge and finally be embodied into wisdom. He came to realize that the whole sense of wholeness comes from the understanding that we belong to the greater whole and are intimately connected. That our humanity is expressed in some kind of framework that we all belong to. It is being aware of the needs of the greater whole and how we bring our individuality to serve that, elevate that, and ensure that it is stable and balanced.Ever since, he has been on this beautiful journey of self discovery. Now he teaches Vedic Meditation and is a teacher of the ancient Vedic wisdom. This knowledge is foundational to our existence and offers a completely inclusive perspective on everything that correlates with our yearning to unify with each other and all of nature.Jonni and Amrit dive deep into the system of creation, maintenance and dissolution that are paramount to nature and human existence and why so many of us are resistant to change.Whatever we have been maintaining for such a long time and is no longer relevant, gets relegated into a process of dissolution and dissolves. All that does not work is here for a reason. It is here so something new can evolve; a new creation. When we are so deeply traumatized by the environment that we have created, neurologically we become more resistant to change. The part of the brain that is capable of creating and innovating, gets shut down so it can face the danger ahead of us. Jonni refers to “trapped in a cycle of desperation and survival” when talking about this resistance. This means that we are always on the lookout and ready to either fight or flee for our lives, which makes us feel anxious,  worried, afraid and so much more. And the only way to guarantee safety and security is through the accumulation of things outside ourselves. Survival mode disconnects us from ourselves. Jonni shares practices to gain access to the place where wisdom lies deep within. He affirms you must introduce new habits to change the physiology of your nervous system and brain, referring to confronting past trauma and then coming to terms with your power. This can only happen if you are willing to first sit in discomfort and accept your negative thoughts and feelings. The purpose of this is to establish a habit of identifying the moment in which you find yourself in conflict, and revert it to a deeper state. The only way to access it is by cultivating it through meditation.Within each one of you is an unexplored power to create the change you dream of. This change benefits you as an individual and the community as a whole, allowing every single one of us to break through toxic beliefs and constraints.“There is nothing more elevated than being in the presence of someone who demonstrates your worthiness because that is the thing that awakens the human heart; It inspires the heart almost involuntarily to reciprocate.”“The world can only change through micro conscious activism where human hearts open, connect and share”About Jonni Pollard:Jonni Pollard is an internationally recognized meditation & wisdom teacher who has dedicated his life to sharing ancient knowledge gained from some of the greatest living masters of our time. He specializes in teaching the art of embodying our true nature to live the most meaningful life possible.Studying and teaching for over 2 decades, today Jonni is based in New York City and travels the world, teaching meditation, running workshops and retreats, and acting as a personal and corporate consultant. IE176 Dr. Patrick Gentempo: Philosopher in Business: Mastering Wellness & Entrepreneurial Success (Stand for Your Brand: Christ Revealed)

In this week’s episode, Amrit interviews Dr. Patrick Gentempo, referred to as the “Philosopher-Entrepreneur”, chiropractor, a star in the world of health, wellness and business, international speaker and best-selling author of the book “Your Stand is Your Brand”. He is the founder and CEO of Action Potential Holdings, Inc. as well as the CEO of Revealed Films. "Everyone has a philosophy, the only question is whether they know it or not.”We all have philosophies we live by. We may have adopted those philosophies intentionally but, in many cases, they may simply be premises passed down to us by some family member, teacher, or preacher.  Whatever the case, the philosophies we live by drive our behaviors and, ultimately, dictate our outcomes, so it is important to identify what they are.Dr. Patrick Gentempo and Amrit dive deep into Patrick’s application of philosophy as a practical tool for human achievement and his successful book “Your Stand is Your Brand” on how deciding “who to be” will revolutionize not only your business but your life too. If you would like to have access to his book “Your Stand is Your Brand” to supercharge your growth in business, and in your personal life, please go to: https://inspiredevolution.com/recommends/patrick-gentempo/Patrick refers to three branches of five in philosophy - metaphysics, epistemology and ethics - when doing philosophical exploration. Metaphysics is your view of reality, epistemology is the theory of knowledge and ethics is the one that provides you with a code of values that will be a guide to your actions and drive you towards your purpose. Through philosophical explorations you can identify existing contradictions in your own life. If you identify your contradictions, you can solve them, and then surpass actual challenges and pass onto the next level becoming a better version of yourself. He refers to Ayn Rand when talking about contradictions. She stated that “contradictions” lead to destruction. When you have contradictions in your basic philosophical premises the only possible result is destruction and the amount of destruction is relevant to the level of that contradiction. They talk about the importance of taking a stand and never taking opportunities over values no matter how good an opportunity may look. When an opportunity is in conflict with your values, it is not good for you. Taking a stand is the most crucial thing you can do to become more successful than ever. Your stand must be based on our own philosophical premises, key values, and purpose, and they must be aligned. And if they are in sync, you will have the power to grow in your personal life and your business too.“When you take a stand, it means you understand what your values are. That takes a clarifying exercise to know which they are making sure you don't have any contradiction”In regards to starting a business, the whole idea of a business is giving it a soul; giving it a philosophy. That means knowing and clarifying its values, its purpose, its vision, all together becoming the heartbeat and the soul of the business. When you and everyone else operate in alignment with those values magic happens, but when you have contradictions your business begins to perish. In addition, there is an amazing conversation about finding your “Miles Davis” and the importance of creative destruction.Finding your “Miles Davis”, means going back, figuring out the pure state of you, understanding who this person is by identity and expressing it out to the world to the fullest, with all your passion and heart - “Miles Davis was known for being able to express the purest expression of your soul”Patrick discovered what it meant to find your “Miles Davis” back at Eleven Madison Park Restaurant, and uses “The Story of the Phoenix” as a metaphor for the concept of creative destruction. The owners of Eleven Madison Park Restaurant have their own values, recognize contradictions and resolve them, and continue to thrive by taking a stand every time they recognize them. Over a period of years, Eleven Madison Park was a Michelin three-star restaurant, but they took it a step further. They were voted the number one restaurant in the world. Shortly after receiving this amazing award, they closed the restaurant down in order to “burn it down” to start from scratch and reinvent themselves. Whatever comes next is, with no doubt, going to be explosive and financially successful. They were creatively destructive like the story of the phoenix. The phoenix is a mythical bird that dies in the fire and then emerges out of the ashes vibrant, youthful, and more beautiful than it was before. It repeats this cycle over and over again. Its death was tragic, because something beautiful was destroyed, yet out of that event arose something more beautiful, spiritual and powerful. This story applies to Eleven Madison Park, but can also apply to you or your business. It means finding your “Miles Davis” and that you are willing to let go of how things are for the purpose of not getting stuck and creating something greater.“Find your values, figure out what you stand for in your life, and when you are willing to take that stand, then you will attract all that was never coming to you before”Having core values is key. Values are fundamental for fulfillment and purpose. In this episode Patrick and Amrit share exercises that will help you figure them out.If you want to uncover your values and live in alignment to your purpose with Amrit, please go to: Core Values Exercise - https://youtu.be/IIrqBjkcXHEPurpose helps you put your events and values in perspective, refocus on the things that are meaningful to you when things go wrong, and to move ahead and enjoy life. It is meaningful to the self and subsequently for the world as well; it helps us connect and accomplish big things together. It differentiates you from other animals. You have the power to choose a purpose, animals don’t, they live in survival mode. To have a fully human experience, you NEED to be PURPOSE driven. Having a purpose makes you unique, it makes you feel fulfilled and helps you navigate this world with so much more grace. â€œMy purpose is to enliven humanity, so my goal is to help people wake up and expand their lives through understanding and applying philosophy.”Level up your life with unlimited access to every Mindvalley Quest Program (over 30+ programs). IE175 Dr. Tracy Kopp: The Urban Alchemist: Holistic Wellness & Transformation in the Heart of the City (The Urban Alchemist)

In this week’s episode, Amrit interviews Tracy Kopp, owner and director of The Urban Alchemist, a holistic health clinic with a team of over fifteen expert health and wellness practitioners providing wellbeing solutions for their clients’ mind, body and soul. Tracy, with so much courage and vulnerability, has come to share her story. She has reached a point in her journey where sharing what she has learned for the benefit of others feels an important part of her healing process.  Amrit and Tracy dive deep into an open and heartfelt conversation about the wounds that have been stuck in Tracy’s body and heart for so long, the healing process she is facing with amazing fortitude and the positive effects on her most loved ones. The ‘mother wound’ may be defined as a loss or a lack of mothering. This is typically a deficit in the mother-daughter relationships that is passed down through generations of women in patriarchal cultures, and it is a reflection on how we have experienced parenting and how we parent. In her early twenties, Tracy suffered from anxiety and depression. She looked to talk therapy for answers but couldn’t find her way out of feeling like a victim in her relationships. She blamed her mother for a great deal of her pain. Like many mother/daughter relationships, theirs was marked by emotional distance. Having never been shown how to manage her own feelings, Tracy’s mother had been unable to pass on this skill to her daughter. Tracy became a mother of a beautiful baby girl, Ivy, at just 21. Neither herself nor her partner had any idea of the responsibilities of parenthood. In Ivy’s early years, Tracy enjoyed motherhood and her child tremendously, but things began to get dark. She and her partner were constantly fighting. Ivy’s needs went unmet for long periods of time and when the family eventually broke down, Ivy suffered deep trauma as her parent’s feud escalated.  As a single mother carrying most of the load of caring for her daughter, Tracy was consumed by her own difficulties. She lacked the skills to control her own feelings of rage and despair, and acted abusively toward her daughter much of the time. She knew this was harmful for her daughter, but the struggle with her own demons left little room for learning patience or grace. Over time, Tracy saw the impact this cycle was having on her daughter. She wondered if the damage done was so great that their relationship might never be repaired. With a great deal of shame and fear, she decided it was time to have a look at what was going on inside herself. By turning within and facing what was hard to see, she began to recognize the harmful patterns inherent in her parenting and slowly break them.    Today Ivy and Tracy have reached a place of real care and love where there is true understanding of the other’s experience.  “I feel that she forgives me in a really meaningful way because she has seen how deep I will dig for her.” Tracy knows that her story is not unique and feels that by speaking openly about her journey, she may help others recognise that they, too, can make amends when they’ve hurt someone close. Tune In: Welcome Tracy Kopp to the Inspired Evolution!:(00:00:00)Impetus to reach the point of wanting to share something:(00:02:30)About a motherhood journey:(00:04:13)Some of the biggest things Tracy’s daughter has taught her about her:(00:06:23)About kids showing a mirror of integrity up to their parents:(00:07:21)What it was like raising a daughter on her own:(00:08:19)Noticing things were not working in the relationship with her daughter:(00:10:07)How do you fix an unhealthy relationship:(00:14:54)How is Tracy able to talk about it now without energetic charges around it:(00:15:44)What Tracy has had to own:(00:19:02)Rationalizing situations everyday reflected in Tracy’s own journey:(00:21:02)About identifying things, honouring them and treating them:(00:26:41)Vision for intergenerational healing:(00:30:14)More meaning to healing when it wasn't about Tracy anymore:(00:34:36)Why Tracy is willing to share now:(00:50:13)What is Tracy’s hope:(00:56:41)Tracy’s beautiful words to her daughter:(01:01:10)Tracy’s beautiful words to her mother:(01:02:41)Tracy as a child dropping into the episode, what would she see?:(01:05:08)Connect with Tracy Kopp:Website: https://www.theurbanalchemist.com.auLinkedin:https://www.linkedin.com/in/tracy-kopp-067612a1/ Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/theurbanalchemistInstagram:https://www.instagram.com/theurbanalchemist_Youtube Channel:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvRoFL_EwngSqp6WCeZLdJQ Join the Inspired Evolution Community:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/InspiredEvolution/    Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/InspiredEvo/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/InspiredEvolution/  Website: https://inspiredevolution.com/ Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/inspiredevolution. IE174 Josh Gryniewicz: Crafting Change through Storytelling: Social Impact, and Saving Lives (OddDuck)

In this week’s episode, Amrit interviews Josh Gryniewicz, a storyteller, storytelling consultant and writer. He is founder of Odd Duck LLC., a boutique storytelling for social change communication firm, that works with nonprofits, NGOs, social impact start-ups, and issue-based documentaries to help them shape their narrative.Josh Gryniewicz is co-host of the beautiful Story Matters podcast. This podcast is about why story actually does matter. It focuses on the use of story for social change and the power of narrative to shape culture, especially during times of crisis. We are going through climate change and social challenges that are threatening our democracy and safety. We are also in the middle of a global pandemic. But Josh and Story Matters give hope. This podcast uses the power of imagination conveyed by narrative to overcome all the adversity and sad things that we are facing in this world. â€œWe need to think more broadly and that means a call for radical imagination and changing the narrative of everything that brought us to this point”“Narrative gives us the structure to reimagine what's possible and see solutions”Story Matters brings the storytelling campfire experience right to you! If you would like to listen to it, please go to: https://www.storymatters.site/Josh and Amrit dive deep into the heart of “story”. They share an entertaining and fascinating conversation about the depths and history of “story”, and what it means to be living your story. Josh is a storyteller above all and covers more than 45000 years of evolutionary storytelling history. Amrit is wisdom hungry and completely fascinated about storytelling ever since he can talk. They both turn this episode into a moment of bliss.Amrit makes reference to experts in psychology, mythology, unified physics, religion, literature, philosophy, neuroscience and human cultural evolution amongst others to explore his point. He believes that wisdom, especially in his country, was passed on to later generations through the ability of storytelling, and we have lost some of that art because of the need of writing and not being able to transmit stories verbally. He sees clearly how much story informs us as human beings and our story and narrative. We are connected to our story and our story informs our presence; the way we live is through our character and the character is in our story. Josh believes a lot of storytelling is a learning tool but going back to the aboriginal origins, he remarks that it was used for a cooperative purpose. In regards to written word as opposed to the oral traditions, he affirms that when you start recording a series of events in a factual and detailed way all it does is reinforce the protagonist models making us follow somebody through a narrative from beginning to end. This isolates us and takes us away from the collective model where we are all together getting bits of that story and sharing that space. When Josh is training, he talks a lot about Joseph Campbell’s “Hero Myth”, a common template of stories that involve a hero who goes on an adventure, is victorious in a decisive crisis, and comes home changed or transformed. And also refers to his favourite and beautiful concept of “Sonder”, the realization that each random passer-by is living a life as vivid and complex as your own. Josh embodies and strongly believes that every single one of us has an informed rich inner life, we all have our own experiences, and we are all protagonists in our own stories. Everybody is in a story with their own story and collectively trying to bring all those stories together.Sharing story can heal you. Josh has witnessed it at first hand and states that healing is about looking at your trauma through your lense and taking ownership and action over it. And each time you heal, your story shifts including more of what is relevant in your life and reducing the trauma. Finally, Josh talks about why we identify with some characters in movies and books. When you identify with a character, you identify with their narrative and this activates the same parts of your brain, so what you are sensing is because you are very in tuned with your own mind. He also shares a short hilarious story about Hemingway you can't miss, as well as another couple of arguments to demonstrate there is something about how the viewer, listener, experiencer, audiencer, of the story interprets what they see and how they incorporate it into their own experiences.Gryniewicz shares ways in which people can connect to their own story. He himself is focussed on sharing stories publicly and connects by journaling and picking up things of his day, looking at them in different ways and trying to understand how important they are to him. Personally he suggests you pay attention to the stories you tell yourself and why you tell them in a certain way. If you see it needs to be changed, then change it.  In this chapter you will learn how to live your story in the most empowered way you have ever imagined.“Each random passer-by is living a life as vivid and complex as your own” About Josh Gryniewicz:Josh Gryniewicz is the founder of Odd Duck, a boutique storytelling for social change communication firm. Josh Gryniewicz prides himself on being a storyteller above all else.As a creative, Josh has applied his craft to writing, spoken word, filmmaking, comic books, and other mediums. As a nonfiction writer, Josh has had work published in the Guardian, Huffington Post, and PopMatters. For over a decade, he has worked in public interest and health communication, specializing in unconventional public health programs. While serving as the communication director for Cure Violence, the internationally renowned violence prevention program was featured in the award-winning film The Interrupters.Josh helmed the rebrand of Integrate Health, a global health initiative in West Africa, on two continents, helping to increase their budget by nearly $1 million and propelling the organization forward as a thought leader. Most recently, Josh led communication efforts for Data Across Sectors for Health (DASH), a Program Office of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation focused on national multi-sector data sharing to address social determinants of health. In 2018, Josh founded Odd Duck to combine his passions of storytelling and social change.Mentioned resources:Video about “Yoga laughing”:https://www.theshiftwellnessrally.com/lalive - Mentioned in timestamp (00:02:00) Odd Duck recently was a "Content Consultant" on The Shift. IE173 Daniel Packard: Revolutionary Anxiety Healing: Master Your Nervous System & Inner Child (Anxiety Cure)

In this week’s episode, Amrit interviews Daniel Packard, a mechanical engineer, professional stand-up comedian, coach, award winning trainer and speaker. He is the owner of You 2.0, an innovative online training where he trains you to fully Upgrade Your Selfware. He has created an innovative and profound approach to personal change. Daniel believes that personal development can support you, but many times it magnifies your own struggles and your patterns keep repeating. You might be doing all sorts of things to address your own issues but find that nothing works or helps you make a shift. He has discovered a solution to keep you off the hamster wheel. It is a fun, simple, and solvable solution that will help you get your power back to be completely free of what holds you back and understand yourself in a whole new way.Daniel developed a model of understanding. All these patterns are symptoms that come from the root core of your “selfware” (software that operates you as a system) and he has identified two “glitches'' (created by past experiences) in it that are responsible for the ways in which you navigate the world. Stress, insecurity, unhappiness, lack of success, unhealthy relationships are all just symptoms of these core glitches in our “Selfware”. If you don’t heal these core glitches, these symptoms just keep following you around.Daniel and Amrit dive deep into a conversation about personal development, the disruption of it and Daniel’s revolutionary effective solution to personal change that stems from his own personal journey. Daniel took more than fifteen years to develop this solution.Daniel had been working on his personal development for several years when he was struck by PTSD reaching rock bottom. In complete agony,  depression and the mindset of an engineer, Daniel realized he had been managing symptoms for too long and he didn't want to manage symptoms anymore. He wanted to be free of symptoms.Lying in a hammock he managed to see the whole matrix. He had been doing everything backwards. He decided he had to flip this whole thing on its end, to be free. So, he left his comfort zone and started figuring out a solution. He went to the root cause of his symptoms, healed the root cause with a process, and a couple of years later, the symptoms were gone and all what he had been working for, naturally appeared.Once Daniel saw that these glitches in our Selfware were creating all the patterns, he then spent another ten years working with over a thousand people to design, develop and perfect an innovative internal process that allows you to simply and quickly upgrade the 'glitches' in your 'Selfware.'His tools and systems are deeply effective, but also practical and easy to learn. If you would like to book a call with Daniel Packard, go to: https://www.danielpackard.com/call - Please fill out your details in the form and his assistant will reach out to you to help schedule your call. In this call Daniel will show you proof of his concept. Amrit himself has experienced Daniel’s work first hand, finding it utterly effective, and soon will be continuing the whole training process. â€œTake the struggles and upgrade the glitch so you don't have any more rock bottoms”“You don't have to keep on working on yourself for all your life. IE172 Dr. Harry Adelson: Stem Cells: A New Era in Regenerative Medicine - Revolutionizing Pain Relief and more...

In this week’s episode, Amrit interviews Dr. Harry Adelson, N.D., naturopathic physician and stem cell specialist. He is the inventor of the Full-Body Stem Cell Make-Over and the owner at Docere Clinics in Salt Lake City, USA, a company dedicated to the practice of 100% regenerative injection therapies for the treatment of musculoskeletal pain conditions.Dr. Adelson is a leader in the field of regenerative medicine procedures including adult stem cells and PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injection therapies for chronic pain. He is one of the very early adopters of stem cell therapy for the treatment of chronic spine pain and is among the most experienced in the world. Pain is something we can all experience some time or another. And when it becomes chronic, it can be incredibly draining and destroy your quality of life and sense of purpose. Usually, chronic pain is something we experience as we get older, but it can happen anytime. We must take care and support our body’s own sagacity to recover rather than use approaches that suppress. â€œPain of the low back, neck, and joints is the leading cause of disability worldwide.”Dr. Harry Adelson and Amrit talk about Dr. Adelson’s stem cell therapy to treat pain of the low back, neck, and joints so you can have a sense of purpose, get your life back and live it to the fullest. Dr. Harry Adelson was fascinated about rock climbing, and during training, he got his shoulder labrum torn. This happened when he was only twenty five, extremely healthy and attending naturopathic school. No treatments solved the problem until he came across Dr Rick Marinelli. This doctor was the first naturopathic doctor to do prolotherapy, an injection of natural substances that tricks the body to launch the body’s natural healing cascade.Dr. Adelson received this successful treatment and then began doing it himself. He did it for more than six years. Soon after he came across PRP with which he got to do the job in half as many treatments as in prolotherapy. After several years practicing PRP, Harry received a patient in his office. This lady wanted him to put bone marrow stem cells into her painful knee. Not sure about whether he could do it or not, she convinced him. Ever since 2010, he has been doing narrow bone aspirations.Harry and Amrit dive deep into regenerative medicine; the body’s ability to heal itself, the cutting-edge bone marrow aspirations, the process of healing and the way he proceeds in his treatment. When you undergo an injury your stem cells (stem cells exist in all the tissues in our body, and their job is to maintain the health of their microenvironment) launch a healing cascade but if you don't have complete healing then you have a chronic pain syndrome. And people with chronic syndromes are the ones Harry and his team treat. The treatment is based on taking stem cells from your bone marrow and your fat, and then injecting them into the damaged zone, getting the body’s natural healing cascade going. By tricking the body there, generates a new injury that will launch a healing cascade. The body gets a second chance at healing. When elder people’s stem cells lose their ability to manufacture and secrete exosomes, which are the actual active ingredient of the stem cells, the therapy team supplements their narrow bone stem cells and fat stem cells with placental stem cell derived exosomes, making their stem cell function like that of a younger person. The whole procedure of the treatment is done under intravenous sedation using either fluoroscopic needle guidance or ultrasound needle guidance for every injection.During healing, your body goes through different phases. First inflamation and then remodelling which can take almost a year. The cost of these treatments tend to be high. For this same reason, Dr. Harry has a Tithing Program. A program in which he performs stem cell procedures to the medically underserved at no charge either to combat service veterans or else in exchange for community service hours. If you would like to have access to this program, please go here: https://www.docereclinics.com/tithing-programLast, but not least they converse about tissue engineering which is still in a very early stage of research.Level up your life with unlimited access to every Mindvalley Quest Program (over 30+ programs). IE171 John Assaraf: Master Your Mind: The Ultimate Guide to Achieving Anything with Neuroplasticity

In this week’s episode, Amrit interviews John Assaraf, leading mindset and behaviour expert, lecturer, well-known entrepreneur, best selling author, brain researcher, philanthropist, teacher, tv actor and the founder and CEO of NeuroGym.John’s latest bestselling book “Innercise: The New Science to Unlock Your Brain’s Hidden Power” helps you recognize and release the mental and emotional blocks that prevent you from achieving your life’s biggest goals and dreams. If you would like to have mental and emotional techniques to strengthen your mindset and unleash the hidden power of your brain, you can get a copy Innercise here: https://inspiredevolution.com/recommends/john-assaraf/Amrit and John dive deep into how thoughts lead to behaviour that generates results,   and John’s neural reconditioning process and “innercises” you can start doing TODAY to change your habitual subconscious patterns and disempowering emotions that are holding you back from thriving personally, professionally and financially. When John Assaraf built his first real estate company at the age of twenty six, something was holding his agents back. Although they were making fortunes in sales, something was preventing them from making more. Despite training and upgrading their knowledge, they kept stuck. John discovered that once they became conditioned to earning a certain amount, they were repeating the same pattern over and over again keeping them stuck in their comfort zone. Through research John found out we become conditioned to certain ways and then repeat the patterns, as part of our brains' way to conserve energy and keep us in our comfort zone. He needed to uncover what would break his agents free from this conditioning. And that was what a mentor did with him in his early twenties. This coach not only helped him upgrade his knowledge and skills but trained his brain to develop the necessary beliefs to achieve his goals. He worked on upgrading his self inner, self worth and self esteem, and on how to manage his emotions of doubt, fear and uncertainty. They did “innercises” to upgrade his capacity as he upgraded his skills. So, John took 75 agents from the 1200, and coached them everyday for six months to upgrade their mindset to match the skill set. Over six months they increased in sales by one hundred million dollars more than they normally did. John proved that if you work on the inner game, you can affect the outer game. The lack of knowledge or skill doesn’t hold you back from reaching your fullest potential. It is your mindset, emotional blocks, and deeply ingrained habits that you must get rid of to clear the path towards victory and living the life of your dreams.Limiting beliefs, traumas and excuses are reinforced subconscious patterns that cause you to think, feel, and consistently behave in ways that produce the same results again and again. And there are several ways to disrupt patterns and create better ones. In this chapter John shares a couple of innercises to strengthen your mind when you are in a state of procrastination, doubt, anxiety or stress. The first one is a powerful breathing exercise and the second one is called A.I.A, used to reprogram your operating system through awareness, intention, and action, one simple and small action. These two innercises help you take control over your brain. Being aware of the pattern, interrupting it, and choosing what you want versus what you don't, will make you evolve. Then, if you do that over a long period of time, you will have a new dominant pattern and your old one will start to disappear. â€œWhat is the minimum that you can commit to doing that you will stick to for one hundred days?”“You can't master complexity without mastering simplicity first”“Our biggest growth comes out of a point of resistance and pushing past that until we have created a new pattern”About John Assaraf:John Assaraf is one of the leading mindset and behavioral experts in the world who has appeared numerous times on Larry King Live, Anderson Cooper and The Ellen DeGeneres Show. His latest bestselling book Innercise: The Proven Science to Unleash Your Brain’s Hidden Power, helps individuals recognize and release the mental and emotional blocks that prevent them from achieving their fullest potential.John has built 5 multimillion-dollar companies including taking one public on NASDAQ and growing Re/Max of Indiana to 1200 sales associates and $4.5 billion a year in sales. He has written 2 New York Times Bestselling books that have been translated to 35 languages and has been featured in 10 movies, including the blockbuster hit “The Secret” and "Quest For Success" with Richard Branson and the Dalai Lama.Today, he is the founder and CEO of NeuroGym, a company dedicated to using the most advanced technologies and evidence-based brain training methods to help individuals strengthen their mindset and emotional skills, so they achieve their goals faster and easier than ever before.John Assaraf’s books:“Innercise” by Johns Assaraf & Gary Elliot: https://amz.run/4TLk â€œHaving it All” by Johns Assaraf: https://amz.run/4TLl â€œThe Answer: A Secret Interview with John Assaraf & Murray Smith”: https://amz.run/4TLs â€œThe Complete Vision Board Kit: Using the Power of Visualization to Achieve Your Dreams” by John Assaraf: https://amz.run/4TLnA couple of movies John was featured in:“The Secret” - widely popularized documentary on The Law Of Attraction and The Law of Goya - see trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhX_7oi1rQA â€œThe Quest for Success” - See trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6s2G2C3Ts9A Mentioned resources:Wallace Wattles: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wallace_Wattles - mentioned in timestamp (01:57) - conversation about Law of Attraction & Law of GoyaRhonda Byrne: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhonda_Byrne - mentioned in timestamp (01:57) - conversation about Law of Attraction & Law of GoyaNapoleon Hill’s quote “You become what you think about” - mentioned in timestamp (01:57) - conversation about Law of Attraction & Law of GoyaTune In: Welcome John Assaraf to the Inspired Evolution!: (00:00:00)About the law of Attraction and the law of Goya:(01:57)Training people and the results not the same for everybody: (07:02)Limiting beliefs holding people back from success:(14:44)Fear holding people back from success:(19:08)About self image disconnections:(25:48)The lack of knowledge and skills holding people back:(27:42)The process of disrupting patterns and creating better ones:(32:35)How long does it take to intrench a new behavioural pattern?:(41:46)The importance of affirmations:(46:52)Connect with John Assaraf:Website: https://www.johnassaraf.com/about-me/ Company Website: https://www.myneurogym.com/about-us/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/johnassarafpage/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/johnassaraf/?hl=en Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/johnassaraf/ Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxXBZtMq5muV1GG_NAFACDw Twitter: https://twitter.com/johnassaraf Join the Inspired Evolution Community:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/InspiredEvolution/    Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/InspiredEvo/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/InspiredEvolution/  Website: https://inspiredevolution.com/ Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/inspiredevolution.
