Dr. Kelli Palfy - Male Sexual Abuse | Trauma Healing Podcast
In this episode, I speak with Doctor Kelli Palfy, a registered psychologist specializing in working with adult male survivors of sexual abuse. Prior to becoming a psychologist, she was an RCMP officer who worked in the Integrated Child Exploitation Unit, part of the Behavioral Sciences Unit of the RCMP. As many of you know, one of the subjects that I've brought to this show, my career and books that I have written, articles that I have published, podcasts that I've been on, and other appearances is the fact that when I was a child, I was sexually abused. I had this moment where I did not share it for a very long time, and once I did what happened, I was told never to talk about it; this would damage our family, and we will lose support from people who were supporting us and so on. This conversation that I have today with Doctor Kelli Palfy is about exposing not only this subject matter to society at a greater scale in depth but also looking at a lot of the ways that boys specifically fall into sexual abuse, how they are groomed, how they are cold, how society doesn't talk about it or looks the other way and then how we create space for male survivors to finally have this conversation, to find community, to find help, to find guidance, to find ultimately a way to be able to move through this and not let it be that hidden thing that stops you from finding love, compassion, empathy, hopes, success and whatever else it is that you may need in your life.
So, I greatly appreciate her coming on and sharing not only her life's work in this subject matter but also helping me move towards bringing this closer to the light not only through the show but also in my own personal life and on this healing journey.
It's my honor and privilege to have these hard conversations because I know that someone listening today is going to find the support they need. You may be able even to give that person, and you may not know what that support by sharing this because of the day may through the secrecy of navigating what has happened in their life.
Be willing to sit, and listen to this conversation and I hope that holds true.

Bryna Haynes - How to find your purpose and identity | Trauma Healing Coach
In this episode, I sit down with Bryna Haynes, the founder of world changers media, and what a beautiful title for a company, what a beautiful idea and concept for what it means to become who we are, being world changers. So many people, and I will include myself in this conversation, I have found that through creating purpose, understanding self and building your identity, not only are you able to serve yourself in your community, church, family, world better but also there's is an assemblance and understanding of the ability that you have to go, create amazing and beautiful things. I appreciate this conversation with Bryna because I found myself struggling with the most in my journey identity, courage, and willingness to step into and create and understand who I am. We all have these powers inside us to shape our future, create our lives, and what we want. I believe inherently that we all have the power and the ability to be the hero of our own stories.
We look at the things that we resist in life. In this conversation, Bryna talks about how so many of us are searching for purpose, and we can't find it until we understand why the things, we resist the most are the keys to our fulfillment and who we are and what we are coming along with this journey.
I think you will get so much out of this episode because I know that I certainly did. I appreciate the massive amount of value that not only did she speak to my life in this conversation but what she's delivering to you guys the Unbroken Nation.

Keith Yackey - How to keep your word to yourself | Trauma Healing Podcast
In this episode, I sit with my guest and friend Keith Yackey, the founder of marriedgame.com. Keith is someone I met about a year ago just through connections and mutual events, and you got bumped into a few people a few times and became pals. We want to have Keith on the show for a while because I love his mission, and it's to help couples stay together; he spoke about the fact that he believes that over eighty percent of divorces that happen don't have to happen. He talks about accountability about what it means to honor your truth but also his own journey, which is both heartbreaking and amazing of his wife walking away from him, taking their child, and saying, I don't want to be with you to six years later as of today being back in the best relationship with his wife and child that he has ever had by doing the work. And I know so many of us, as we go through these journeys, face the difficulty in trying to reconcile our past mistakes and build to be the person we want to be and ultimately show up every day. Still, we struggle with keeping our word, holding true to who we are, and keeping such something really wonderful during the interview, I won't spoil it, but I'll we'll say this he said, you're not what you say you say you're what you do. That very struck me because I believe that to be incredibly true.
This episode is incredible for someone who goes through hitting rock bottom, building themselves back up because we all have been there. We all can get to where we want to go as long as we get clear about that direction, hold ourselves incredibly accountable, and be a person of character who does what we say we're going to do.
So, this is an episode I've been looking forward to recording for a very long time.

Jeremy Grater and Zach Tucker - Discovering love and fatherhood after abuse | Trauma Healing Podcast
In this episode, we have guest speakers Zach and Jeremy of The FitMess Podcast. This conversation between us is phenomenal and very emotional, so I'll preface this conversation with. I got choked up a couple of times about the beauty of growth that people can have when they're willing to step into this journey. In this conversation, I asked questions about father, being a man, love, and things that I've never really asked on this show before and it was so moving to their perspective. Two men with two very different backgrounds who are on a mission to kind break down those walls of toxic masculinity.
So, if you are a person who listens to this and you're like, I know a man in my life who needs to hear this today, please send them this because this conversation is breathtaking; if not for time, I think this could have been a three-hour conversation which I know I'm going to have them back already. So, as you get into this conversation, I welcome you to step into it with some compassion for yourself today, probably first and foremost, and recognizing that just like us, you are trying to figure this game called life out day in and day out, we make mistakes, we screw up, we fall down but to find the resiliency to be tough it out, to not negotiate with yourself, to give yourself grace, compassion and love like that is those are the cornerstone for what is next in your life.
What does the word love mean to you?
What role has love played in your life?
Join Us Now because Zach and Jeremy will bring us a life-changing conversation today!

Asking for help as a survivor of trauma | CPTSD and Trauma Healing Coach
In this episode, I talk about the most important thing that I did for myself in healing from trauma, and that is asking for help. Many childhood trauma and abuse survivors are scared to ask for help or have an "I can do this on my own" mentality. The reality is that in order to continue to see progress or even get started, we have to leverage our communities, teams, and those that are willing to support us. This episode is a little longer than usual as I wanted to drive home some key points about how I implemented asking for help into my life and how everything changed through doing so.

Brian Covey - How to actually change your life | Trauma Healing Podcast
In this episode, I will be joined by my friend Brian Covey, and there's probably honestly one of the most practical and tangible episodes in the history of this show step by step. Brian will lay out tools for stepping into creating and building the life you want to have. This episode was phenomenal to listen to like, in person and in real-time, I'm going to listen to this again and take down notes like you; I'm always learning, and so when I get to have a mentor in my life, Brian, come on the show and to be able to sit here, invest into them, invest in myself with my time, effort, energy and learn is so powerful.
This is going to be a phenomenal episode. I highly recommend that you sit down with a pen and a piece of paper or your notebook or computer and listen to Brian's tools to layout this journey. His journey from overcoming some pretty major obstacles in his life to becoming a professional soccer player to now a leader in the personal development space.
