318 - NO QUICK FIX for sobriety: It takes time and effort
In this episode, Ben and I discuss how people try and get sober and 30 days without taking into consideration that they spent decades, drinking and drugging. It's not a simple process and it does take time and effort. It's been our experience that the longer that one is in treatment, the much higher chance of long-term sobriety they have. Often times people treat sobriety like a quick fix diet, they want to go away for 30 days and hope that they can stay sober just from doing that and unfortunately that rarely works.
