Often times treatment centers will make their website look a certain sort of way to attract for clients only to find out when you get there, it is nothing like it was presented. DO NOT BE FOOLED! In this episode, we have a discussion around boundaries. The parents can set boundaries not only with themselves, but their loved ones so that they can fully experience what treatment has to offer. Often times we run into the situation's where parents and loved ones find it absolutely necessary to interject their opinions into their loved ones treatment. They often times will tell us how they think things should go, and the approach that we need to take in order to help their loved one get clean and sober. We won't take our hard, earned money and invested into the stock market through a financial advisor and then tell them exactly how we want it done, right? This is the same exact situation. in this episode, we have on Tristan who suffered an overdose in early January of this year. Tristan is extremely lucky that he is alive and with us today. Tristan ended up going to treatment for the second time to address his addiction. Through hard work and surrender to his disease of addiction Tristan is coming up on eight months of sobriety, and couldn't be happier. Tristan talks in detail about not wanting to be involved in treatment and at points in his sobriety wanting to give up. Through hard work and spending his time with good people, Tristan has that himself up for success in the future and is now on a mission to help people who were just like him.
