How long can the Sixers continue to overpay in trades and devalue margins before it prevents them from having an extended championship window? We talk about their draft night decisions, trades, and comments before and after from the team. Then we have a long conversation with EV Hoops scout Elan Vinokurov on Sixers first round pick Matisse Thybulle, his shooting, and adjustment to NBA defense.

“Give me the 2020 second round, and I’ll make an NBA champion.” - Michael Levin - The Sixers traded up with the Boston Celtics to take a player from the University Of Washington… again. The 76ers exchange the 24th and 33rd picks to select Matisse Thybulle at 20, with the Celtics knowing the they were interested in the defensive standout. To Spike’s dismay, the Celtics took Carsen Edwards with the 33rd pick. The Sixers traded the 34th pick to Atlanta for a future second round pick, and the 54th and 57th picks, which became Marial Shayok, and Jordan Bone, who they also traded.

Spike and Mike give their official Big Boards, Mike from hours of watching college basketball, Spike from watching highlights on YouTube only. Spike goes over his top ten, and Mike responds with a top 30. Also up for discussion is Kyrie Irving and Al Horford having almost assuredly decided to leave the Boston Celtics to not play in Boston and not play for a coach whose job is always on the line.

The NBA Draft is this week, and we deep dive into it all with NBA Scount Elan Vinokurov, talking about what he got right and wrong from last year, who he likes at the top of this year’s draft, and potential selections for the Sixers at 24 and the second round.
