Ep 576: Track & Field Coaching Legend, Dan Pfaff
This week a legend joins John and Tex to talk about his history training track and field sport athletes. Dan Pfaff stumbled into the this niche after coaching at the high school level, then college, and eventually began training Olympians. His voice and command presence reflects the seasoned coach he has become after decades working with athletes.
Dan Pfaff was doing med ball work and plyometric complexes long before it was popular. He credits athletes of antiquity and isolated athletes with the creativity of these training tools. It was his passion for researching power based programs that led him to successfully train track and field athletes all the way to the Olympics…and he’s still doing it.
