Holding the title of UFO capital of Scotland, the city of Bonnybridge racks up around 300 mysterious sightings a year. In 1966 the United States Air Force funded a group of scientists working at the University of Colorado to perform an in-depth review of Project Blue Book. In J. Allen Hynek’s 1972 book The UFO Experience: A Scientific Inquiry , UFO and extraterrestrial encounters were classified into 3 distinct categories. Beyond this original classification by the head of the Air Force’s Project: Blue Book , other scientists following in Hynek’s footsteps would later add an additional four categories. Within these additional classifications you have what are deemed “Close Encounters of the Fourth Kind”. These experiences are characterized by humans being physically abducted by extraterrestrials. Some scientists argue this category should also include experiences where the witness has their reality transformed. Perhaps a near perfect example of this type of encounter would be the events that took place in 1967 in the town of South Ashburnham, Massachusetts. In 2018, Twitter identified nearly 4000 accounts associated with a single Russian owned company which were responsible for close to 176,000 tweets in the 10 weeks leading up to the 2016 presidential election. That same company was spotlighted in the official “Report on the Investigation into Russian Interference in the 2016 Presidential Elections” released by the U.S. Department of Justice in 2019. The investigation revealed that the company had paid employees, referred to as “specialists”, that were responsible for posing as U.S. citizens and political activist groups on English speaking social media platforms.
