During the 1960s and ’70s, the world’s two largest superpowers vied to be the first to put a human on the surface of our closest planetary neighbor, the moon. Both the United States and the Soviet Union spent an immense amount of manpower and resources in order to study and map the lunar surface in preparation for this massive endeavor. NASA’s Apollo missions, from 1969-1972, put a total of 12 people on the moon. From these missions, valuable information and data were gathered that perhaps raised more questions than answers for scientists studying our lunar companion. In 1139 The Pope of the Catholic Church, Innocent II, issued a landmark order that would create a fundamental shift in power throughout Europe and the Middle East. The mandate would establish an order of highly trained knights that would answer to no one but the Pope. On the evening of August 21, 1955, a family raced into the Hopkinsville, Kentucky police station to report that their house was under attack by a group of alien creatures. These creatures had appeared to try and gain entry to the family’s home and were seemingly fended off by two of the men who opened fire on the creatures. In the early hours of Jan 12, 1975, in Braddock Park in North Bergen, New Jersey local store owner George O’Barski was in his car when the radio suddenly filled with static. Around the same time, a doorman from the nearby Stonehenge Apartments reported seeing strange floating lights. O’Barski would later go on to describe the fantastic encounter he had that night in an interview with known UFO investigator Bud Hopkins. O’Barski recounted how he had seen an object seemingly 30 feet long and floating only 6 feet above the ground. The object landed and humanoid figures emerged from the craft and seemed to collect samples of soil from the ground of the park and then re-embark on the craft lifted back into the air. O’Barski said he returned to the site hours later and was amazed to find holes exactly where the creatures had been. To this day, the Roswell UFO incident remains one of the most intriguing cases of an alleged UFO crash and subsequent recovery. The U.S. Military’s explanation and documents that support the claim of a secret military project to monitor atmospheric radiation from nuclear testing are seen, by many in the world of Ufology, as an attempt to continue the 70-year cover-up of what was really recovered on that New Mexico ranch in July of 1947. The common consensus within the UFO world is that some type of alien craft was recovered. What condition it was in and exactly what else was transported to the military base located in Ft. Worth, Texas is still a matter of some dispute. One account, from a firefighter who claimed to have responded to the call of smoking debris, mentioned that not only had he seen military personnel recovering objects from the supposed crash site but also he had witnessed at least 3 unmoving bodies and one still upright and walking around the crash site. In 1995 a 17-minute long film was presented as proof of at least one of those bodies being examined and dissected by military pathologists. While the world at large remained skeptical, this single piece of film has remained controversial and as recently as 2019 continued to maintain its relevance as a piece of modern UFO history.
