A Believers Response To Quran Burning 03
Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan implores us to remain united in the face of religious adversities and says that when a nation is not aware it cannot survive.
The religion for everyone else is just culture and is something their parents handed them down. But for the Muslim Ummah, our religion is a mission and we should believe sincerely that My prayer, my life, my sacrifice, and my death are for Allah. When we understand that, we will begin to do justice to the Book of Allah.we should be reciting and understanding Allah’s Book.
We should be productive and engage in the Masjid, listen to the Halaqa and learn and ask questions thus acquainting ourselves more about our religion.

A Believers Response To Quran Burning 02
Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan makes us ponder on what our reaction should be when we come across stupidity and idiocracy in our community. There is a need to have clarity and consistency across our community.
These kinds of inciting attacks are of two types - physical, military kind of attack or psychological, ideological attacks. The psychological, ideological attacks were predominant at the time of Allah’s Messenger ﷺ.
The only people who can violate Allah’s Book and not do justice to Allah’s Book more than anyone else is the believers themselves. The Quran that was supposed to be in the chest of the believers has gone from these chests and we don’t remember the Quran with our hearts. We ourselves have to increase the dignity of the Quran. Thus, when we look at these acts of ignorance, we need to be collected and calm and we need to understand that what they are doing is an exercise in futility. And the attempt is to get the emotions of Muslims riled up.
What is the solution for this? The Ustadh elaborates explicitly and we need to hear this video to keep our actions and emotions in check and tackle the menace effectively.

A Believers Response To Quran Burning 01
Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan shares a passage from Surah Aal e Imran which is very relevant and extremely pertinent through the kinds of situations Muslims are facing in regards to the construction of masajids in certain places, in regards to how certain Christian groups are celebrating the desecration of Allah’s book and these are painful things to hear over and over again.
The Ustadh tells us that ee shouldn’t be surprised or hurt by these actions. The people that don’t believe and especially those that have animosity against Muslims and Islam, they have certain principles that they live by and we find that when it comes to dealing with the Muslims, and when it comes to dealing with Islam, the forces of Kufr (disbelief) will compromise their own principles.
Allah Himself says: “But if you persevere patiently and become Al-Muttaqun then verily that will be a determining factor in all affairs.”
And if we are able to be patient, controlling our emotions, holding ourselves back and continuing to fear Allah, then this is of the most noble deeds one can do. Our patience speaks volumes but our yelling and screaming is more detrimental. After we are patient what are we supposed to do? We are supposed to be patient. We are supposed to continue to have Taqwa of Allah.

Family - Its Complicated
Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan directs his lecture towards one of the very strong and sturdy pillars of human existence - Family.
The Ustadh begins his lecture with a general introduction after which we are made spectators to the lives of Prophet Yusuf AS and his brothers who left no stone unturned in tormenting, agonizing and alienating him. Yet they were his family and this emotion always comes to the fore even in the most trying of circumstances.
Another example cited is that of our beloved Prophet ﷺ and how a particular year was called the Year of Sadness with respect to the fact that he had lost both his uncle and wife in the same year and his grief was unimaginable and unfathomable.
What should one’s approach be when it comes to family despite the unending complications and trials one faces in this regard? This lecture clearly implores us that in order for us to seek Taqwa in Allah, it is of supreme importance and paramount that we take care of our family, no strings attached. Just as we are vigilant of the rights of Allah, so should we be aware and vigilant of the rights of the family.

Quranic Healing For The Heart
Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan reflects on that passage of the Qur’an which is at the end of Suratul Furqan. In this passage, Allah SWT gives us, people, a special title. And that title is “Wa ‘Ibaadur-Rahman". This means slaves of the Incredibly Merciful, the Incredibly Loving.
Allah says,
"And the slaves of the Most Beneficent (Allah) are those who walk on the earth in humility and sedateness, and when the foolish address them (with bad words) they reply back with mild words of gentleness. And those who spend the night before their Lord, prostrate and standing. And those who say: “Our Lord! Avert from us the torment of Hell. Verily! Its torment is ever an inseparable, permanent punishment.”
[Surah Al-Furqan, Verses 63-65]
And of all the many titles we could have been addressed, Allah has chosen one specific title for us in this Surah which is “Ibadur-Rahman". And so, the relationship that has been described between us and Allah in this Ayah of Surah Al Furqan is one of love, care, and mercy; we have been brought into the folds of Allah’s love, care, and mercy.
Who are these special people that Allah calls “‘Ibadur-Rahman”? The category of ‘Ibad Ur-rahman are as follows:
Those who walk on the earth in humility.
Those who spend their night before their master in Sajdah and standing.
Those who pray to be avoided from Jahannam.
Those who don’t overspend and don’t be cheap with money.
Those who don’t call other God besides Allah, don’t kill anyone and don’t commit adultery.
Those who make Tawbah and stay in good way.
Those who don’t witness falsehood.
Those who pass by a useless gathering in a dignified way.
Those who do not ignore the reminder.
Those who make dua to have ‘the coolness of their eyes’ from their family.
Those who are patient.

4 Guided Steps In The Quran For Self Transformation
Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan delivers a concise, explicit lecture that deals with the Noble Qur'an and how this Book of Allah changed the world in 23 years and how it will change us too provided we seek earnest help in this regard.
Key points of interest in this impeccable lecture:
Just as the heavens and earth are obedient to Allah SWT, so is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
The Quran is like a life-giving water.
23 years of the Message of Allah given to the Prophet ﷺ helped transform the value system of individuals and society, thereby, leading to an incredible change in the world.
4 Names of Allah are mentioned here - Al-Malik (The King), Al Quddus (The Pure), Al Aziz (The Authority) and Al-Hakim (The Wise). The King who is Noble, Pure, The Authority commanding respect, The Wise are those Names that instantly connect with us and garner our attention. The first and the third inspire awe, the second and the fourth bring us closer to Allah.
4 tasks highlighted for the Prophet ﷺ - the power of the words of Allah, constant reminder leading to purification, the laws(finite), wisdom (infinite pursuit by reflection on the Quran).
An interesting point that is noteworthy and deserves a fair mention is that the 4 Names of Allah discussed above when superimposed on the 4 tasks handed over to the Prophet of Allah ﷺ helps in creating harmony and peace in the societies and the entire Muslim world. Exemplary and thought-provoking!
