Beware of vanity metrics in public relations, here are the ones to be tracking.

Get Noticed! Send a text.Vanity metrics reflect well on us but they don't necessarily give a true picture of the productivity or commercial effectiveness of the public relations work being done. I talk about the common metrics we do monitor like sentiment and share of voice which tools like Carma can track, and also go on to mention the work I am doing on the Active Communications Index which measures the productivity of the team. I also share the work I am doing with Ian Morrison to help companies to benchmark themselves against others in terms of how much work they are doing because absolute and relative values are important so know how much is enough for your company to do. Otherwise frankly social media can display all the hallmarks of Parkinson's Law.SPEAK|Pr is for business owners to unlock the value in their organization for free with effective communication and is hosted by international Pr agency owner and entrepreneur Jim James. If you like this podcast, then subscribe to our newsletter herePlease visit our blog post on PR for business please visit our site:https://www.eastwestpr.com/blogs/Support the showSubscribe to my free newsletterhttps://www.theunnoticedentrepreneur.com/

What Kånken teaches up about storytelling and word of mouth marketing

Get Noticed! Send a text.Over 5,937 fresh reviews for a backpack available since 1978, a sustainability story, and considerable word of mouth marketing make the FJÄLLRÄVEN story compelling and a great case study to share. The press room is well maintained and creates a great showcase to be visited for your own press room, but what I liked most of all was the A4 folded leaflet which includes the backstory of this Swedish company; which set out to solve the problem of back pain which inflicted 80% of Swedes in the 1970's.This episode is a nice case study in storification, and the Opportunity, But, Therefore structure for building a corporate narrative.Listen to the full episode here.SPEAK|Pr is for business owners to unlock the value in their organization for free with effective communication and is hosted by international Pr agency owner and entrepreneur Jim James. If you like this podcast, then subscribe to our newsletter herePlease visit our blog post on PR for business please visit our site:https://www.eastwestpr.com/blogs/Support the showSubscribe to my free newsletterhttps://www.theunnoticedentrepreneur.com/
