Thursday’s Daily Puck Drop with Jason “Puck” Puckett features Mike Garafolo, NFL Network with BREAKING news on the Seahawks search for a new offensive coordinator and Michael-Shawn Dugar, The Athletic on the reaction to the offensive coordinator search reportedly winding down and financial decisions looming for the Seahawks. Puck starts off the show discussing fan apathy among Mariner fans and he wonders how close this ownership group is to losing a fan base. Many fans are starting to revolt and it could get much worse for the Mariners if they don’t right the ship. Also, many fans are cancelling their season tickets and flex tickets. What will attendance look like this year because most fans feel betrayed by the teams ownership. (23:22) - Mike Garafolo, NFL Network jumps on with Puck and drops breaking news that Klint Kubiak, who spent last season with New Orleans Saints, is in Seattle getting a second in person interview with the Seahawks and according to Mike is “in the drivers seat” to be named the new offensive coordinator under Mike Macdonald. Mike explains the decision to Puck on why Kubiak works, potential relationship with Macdonald and what the future has in store for quarterback Geno Smith, receiver D.K. Metcalf and other roster moves on the horizon for Seattle. Also, does Deion Sanders want the Cowboys job? When are the Bears going to find a coach or are they going to interview the entire NFL? Would Pete Carroll work in Dallas under Jerry Jones? Does the Rooney Rule work in the NFL or are teams taking advantage of the requirement?
