Turning Intuition Into A Skill
— "Your intuition is like having your own personal language." Valeria Teles interviews Catherine Wilkins — the author of "Soul's Brain: The Neurology and Logic of Your Intuition." Chiropractor, Veterinarian, Founder of Fractology and author of The Soul's Brain: The Neurology and Logic of Your Intuition, Dr Catherine Wilkins is passionate about conscious intuition. Fractology grew out of her own need to resolve the conflicts in her own life between science and intuition as she was born an intuitive cuckoo in the nest of a scientific family. Turning her science-mind onto the processes of intuition she deciphered the principles of this powerful skill into a step-by-step system that anyone can use. You can read all about it in her book. Having a conscious process turns your intuition turns into an everyday skill and importantly teaches us how to use pattern-based and systems-thinking to move past our old right-wrong thinking and open to expansive solutions for the future. This type of thinking shows you the super-power hidden in your own authenticity. The more you live according to Who You Truly Are the more expansive and fulfilling your life becomes on all levels, and the more mutual this expansion can become with all those around you. The system Catherine founded, Fractology, shows you how to do just that and she has shared all those principles in The Soul's Brain. Life Wants You To Be You
— "You are not a random blob of cells. Every part of you brims with intention. Your heart doesn't question why it beats. Your lungs don't get bored pumping air. Your hair doesn't stop growing because you're having a bad day. Each sub-atomic particle you consist of knows what role it plays in the great coming together as you. If none of your building blocks waver about their purpose, why should you? Deep down, you know there is someone you're meant to be. Every so often, you catch a glimpse of that someone. It happens when you speak up for yourself, even when it's difficult; when you're proud of a job well done, no matter what others say; when you do things for the love of doing them, not because you're expected to. It happens in those unexpected moments when you look in the mirror and see not your perceived flaws but a person you're amazed of being. Is that really me?! Yes, that's really you." Valeria Teles interviews Chris Cirak — the author of "Be You: The Journey of Self-Realization" Chris Cirak has a passion for turning sophisticated topics into accessible, meaningful, and inspiring experiences. With an extensive background in design, psychology, and tech, he has spearheaded empathy-based design in education and business environments alike. Cancer: The Healing Dance Toward Balance
— "We must focus on the challenge and the solution, not just the problem. When we see our reality as a challenge, we can become the creators of our life process and not remain powerless victims of situations tied to fear. " Valeria Teles interviews Judy Erel — the author of "Dancing with Cancer: Using Transformational Art, Meditation and a Joyous Mindset to Face the Challenge" Judy Erel is a 73 year old mother, grandmother, artist, poet, author, meditation teacher, art teacher, health guide, and translator. She studied human development (Cornell University) and Ed. psychology Hebrew University Jerusalem) and worked in this field until the 1980"s. She moved to the desert from Jerusalem with her family in the late 1970's and something there touched her very deeply. She began her art studies (Beer Sheva, and State Art Teachers College) and by the mid 1980's Judy began her spiritual path meditating, tai chi, qi Kong. When Judy was diagnosed with "incurable" treatable cancer of the bone marrow in 2007, she was already very spiritual with a well-developed spiritual outlook on life. She knew it was time to "to walk my talk". Judy continuously journaled from the first moments to help me understand and remember with all the meds she was given. Above all she knew that she had the ultimate responsibility for her healing - no doctor, no medication. Judy could use them for help but she had to take conscious responsibility if healing was to be the best possible for her to attain. She used everything she ever learned to create her own golden path to recovery. Beginning as a completely handicapped person with a corset brace from collarbone to pelvis, 24/7 nursing care and prohibited to lift more than a glass of water, Judy entered one of the most fascinating, creative periods of her life on the deepest most meaningful levels. Judy found herself calling the various techniques she used "Thought Work", and used them with the conventional cancer treatment, in order to make her thoughts and intentions clear, exact and conscious. Then she could connect them to her everyday reality. Her doctors were quite "shocked" regarding the amazing way she healed and was able to function. After a successful bone marrow transplant, Judy was in complete remission for almost 10 years, which is considered more than three times the average. In 2009 she began providing guided meditations and mandala-drawing activities in the haematology and oncology departments of major Israeli hospitals supported by the Roche Pharmaceuticals 'Roche Lends a Hand' project. Yet there was more to do, so she began writing a book. Judy realized that to be of use, the book must tell her story but focus on the reader. She wrote Dancing With Cancer, to offer guidance and inspiration not only to cancer sufferers as they undergo the various stages of treatment but also to those supporting them, enabling them to understand better the experience of the cancer patient as well as the possibilities of mind–body empowerment. Reflection, Liberation & Transcendence
— "For people coming into plant medicine seeking answers it is important to remember that plant medicine is not 'the way of healing,' but 'a way of supporting our healing." Valeria Teles interviews Kerry Jehanne — the author of "The Devil's Yoga: A Woman's Journey from Entrapment to Freedom." Kerry's healing practice started as a result of her own journey through some treacherous times. It is staggering how early childhood wounds can infiltrate so deeply and in so many ways. She had no sense of healthy boundaries; no sense of her voice and power; and She struggled greatly with addictions and depression. Her relationship with the Divine was bizarre and distorted at best. The nicest people could be around her, but she had no concept of how to receive their love or that she was even worthy of love. So, Kerry always felt cold and dark inside. The misery she lived with paralyzed and prevented her from showing up in the world as her best self. In a desperate attempt to stay alive, she began exploring different healing modalities. Finally, she surrendered, and something clicked. She entered what feels like a new life. She now feels whole and grateful most of the time, and has tools and beings who support her through her struggles and in her wellness. Kerry now uses the methods she discovered, and continue to discover, to assist others. She practiced multidimensional healing with a deep passion for her work and tender compassion for her clients. She helped individuals and groups experience a vibrational shift towards a healthier and more harmonious state of being by applying innovative methods that promote physical, mental, and emotional wellness as well as spiritual integration. Her love of healing work extends to the earth and to honeybees. Kerry has a background in organic farming and has tended to honeybees for over 14 years. She is actively engaged in teaching people how to be intuitive beekeepers as well as giving talks on how our healing journey relates to the healing of the honeybees. Kerry is the founder of Galactic Remedies. She is also certified in Holowave, Transformational Breath®, and EFT. She holds a BS in Environmental Studies from SUNY ESF and an MPS in Adult Education and Extension from Cornell University To learn more about Kerry Jehanne and her work please visit: https://www.kerryjehanne.com — This podcast is a quest for well-being, a quest for a meaningful life to the exploration of fundamental truths, enlightening ideas, insights on physical, mental, and spiritual health. Surpass Your Limit — Elevate Your Mind
— "It's often much easier to change "who we think we are" than it is to change the situation itself." Valeria Teles interviews Peter Alessandria — the author of "Be Bigger Than You Think You Are! : Overcoming Our Self-Imposed Limits To Have The Life We Want" Born and raised in the New York City area, Peter attended college and law school in Upstate New York. After law school, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career as an entertainment attorney. Today he is an author, speaker and teacher, as well as an award-winning, internationally published, fine art, portrait and commercial photographer. Working as an attorney in the entertainment industry sparked Peter's own creative interests and in early 2000, while still practicing law, he began experimenting with digital video production. He eventually took up filmmaking as a hobby, and wrote, produced and directed six short films. Everything was great until the end of 2008. That was the year the Global Financial Crisis hit, and within a matter of months Peter lost his law practice. Despite his best efforts, he was unable to revive it and soon came to a crossroads: what he was going to do with the rest of his life? After much deliberation, Peter decided to follow his heart and pursue his passion for photography full-time. So in 2009, he moved back to the East Coast and launched his photography business. Unfortunately, things didn't go so well at first. For almost three years, Peter struggled to get his new business going. More than once wondered if he had made the wrong choice. At first, it seemed like the economy was the problem. Then he thought it might be his lack of formal education in art or photography. Next he wondered if it was the competition from all the other photographers out there. At one point, he was even convinced it was because he didn't have the latest and greatest camera equipment. But it turned that out none of that was the problem. What was holding Peter back were his own limiting thoughts and beliefs about himself. He had a very negative self-image when it came to being a creative person and it was his own fear and self-doubt that were stopping him from moving forward. Peter fought hard for many months to overcome these obstacles. Using various techniques he was eventually able to shift his self-image and break through into a more empowered way of living. This is what his latest book is all about. The results speak for themselves: Peter went from someone who never won an award for anything in his entire life, to someone who has won more than 70 Awards for his photography. He went from a person who was terrified to show his work publicly, to someone who has had dozens of shows and exhibitions, and whose images have been published online and in newspapers and magazines around the world. And he went from someone who never dreamt it was possible to sell even one of photo, to a working artist who licenses images for commercial use and who has sold prints to Collectors as far away as Australia. In addition to being a freelance photographer, Peter is also an Official Photographer for Fireworks by Grucci®, one of the oldest and most well-respected fireworks performance companies in the world. For the past four years, he has traveled the globe photographing their pyrotechnics performances, including two trips to Dubai, the Maldives and various locations around the North America. He is also listed as an Official Participant on two of the company's Guinness World Records – how cool is that! As an artist, Peter sells framed, signed Limited Edition fine art prints of all his photos and also has two photography books: "New York Cityscapes" (2018 Amherst Media) which is a collaboration with six other top NYC photographers, as well as his own NYC-photobook, "New York City Nights – Book 1"(2017). Both are available on his website and Amazon. Perhaps most astonishing is that Peter achieved all this without any formal training in art or photography – he is completely self-taught! Yet, it wasn't until he overcame his own limiting thoughts and beliefs about himself that he was able to accomplish all these things. As he now knows, all the talent in the world won't help someone who doesn't believe in themselves. Today, Peter coaches, speaks and lectures on topics from "Be Bigger Than You Think You Are!®" He offers classes and weekly online workshops designed to help individuals and companies elevate their life and business to the next level. His passion for inspiring others has taken him as far as Colombia South America where he addressed more than 1,000 college students on the importance of pursuing our goals and dreams in life. He has given similar talks at Fordham University and to the Princeton Photography Club. Mindfulness Approach For A Peaceful Life
— "Some of us live with great psychological freedom, at ease and with joy. For many, however, it is not easy being human." In his latest work, Malcolm provides strategies using mindfulness to manage stress, anxiety, and depression, as well as ways to cultivate psychological wellbeing. Uniquely, it combines a traditional Buddhist approach to mindfulness with contemporary psychology and current perspectives. Drawing on the author's many years of clinical experience as a psychologist as well as his personal experience in Buddhist meditation practices, it outlines how the Buddha's four applications of mindfulness can provide a pathway to psychological wellbeing, and how this can be used personally or with clinical populations. Malcolm introduces mindfulness as it is presented in Buddhist psychology and guides the reader through meditations in a systematic way. The practices are clearly explained and supported by relevant real-life stories. Being aware that mindfulness and meditation are simple but not easy, Huxter guides the reader from the basics of mindfulness and meditation through to the more refined aspects. He provides a variety of different exercises and guided meditations so that individuals are able to access what suits them. His book aimed at anyone who wishes to use mindfulness practices for psychological freedom. It provides insight and clarity into the clinical and general applications of Buddhist mindfulness and will be of interest to mental health practitioners, students of mindfulness, professional mindfulness coaches and trainers, researchers and academics wishing to understand Buddhist mindfulness and the general public. Valeria Teles interviews Malcolm Huxter — the author of "Healing the Heart and Mind with Mindfulness. Ancient path, present moment." Malcolm is an Australian clinical psychologist and teacher of Buddhist meditation. He has been teaching mindfulness and related practices such as loving kindness and compassion to clinical populations, clinicians and the public for nearly 30 years Mal originally learnt these practices as a Buddhist monk in Thailand in the late 1970's. Mal has written several mindfulness-based workbooks, published in psychology journals and magazines and his greatest work the book that we are discussing was released in 2016. He works in private practice and regularly teaches on courses, workshops, and retreats. He is a loving partner, proud dad of three adult sons and a doting granddad. He currently lives and practices on the north coast of NSW, Australia.
