Poetry & Resilience — Graceful Empowerment

— There's no payment sufficient to honor your worth; most astounding creation you—the face of this Earth. Valeria Teles interviews Nikki Murphy — the author of "Home For Hurricanes: A Memoir of Resilience in Poetry and Prose" Nikki Murphy is an awarded Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Leader, speaker, poet, real estate investor, and best-selling author of Home For Hurricanes: A Memoir of Resilience in Poetry and Prose. Her work aims to foster understanding across communities and empower people to do life on purpose. Abandoned by her hustling father and raised by her devoted mother in a tough neighborhood, Murphy learned from an early age how to triumph over trauma. Her best-selling book, Home For Hurricanes: A Memoir Of Resilience in Poetry and Prose, chronicles her coming of age story and healing journey after surviving multiple traumas, including being raped in college. Having a firsthand awareness of the societal issues plaguing Black communities, Murphy has volunteered with several nonprofit organizations serving underserved youth. However, it was the continued shooting of unarmed Black men making national headlines in 2016 and her desire to set an example for her then 1-year-old son, that prompted Murphy to radically re-examine her career. After nearly a decade in a successful corporate career working as an Auditor at a Big 4 accounting firm, Murphy took a 6-month sabbatical to figure out a more purpose-aligned path forward. Murphy holds a B.S. in Finance from New York University's Stern School of Business and is a member of Women of Integrity Inc., an organization that empowers women and girls. She and her husband live on Long Island, New York with their 5-year-old son. Expansion, Confidence And Clarity

— All of us have wondered at some point or another whether there is a deeper meaning to our everyday activities. Some of us may have even searched on a subconscious level for the missing component in our daily lives. The good news is that incorporating a sense of spirit into every day can fill missing gaps, expand our lives, and provide us with confidence and clarity in all decisions. Valeria Teles interviews Dr. Lydia A. Mitchell — the author of "Spiritual Reality: Transforming the Ordinary into the Extraordinary." Dr. Lydia Anne Mitchell´s goal in writing is to reintegrate the spiritual and physical aspects of our being on a daily level. With the rapidly increasing technological advances the basic foundation of our lives has been shifted – almost shape shifted! Lydia loves to use technology and is fascinated by it. However, as complex beings there is more to us than the technical and physical aspects. She believes the emotional and spiritual aspects of your life play a greater part in who you are and what you create than the physical reality you see. All aspects of a person need to be considered and combined for a fully joyful and successful life. Incorporating your spirit with your daily life is a matter of awareness. The only transformation that occurs is the shift in view point between yourself and the reality around you. Lydia's scientific background gives her a unique understanding of the subtle energies involved in the physical world, seen and unseen by the human eye. After obtaining her doctorate in Chemistry at Carnegie-Mellon University, Pittsburgh, U.S.A. Lydia worked in research in the education and corporate world. She carried out experiments based on electromagnetic principles using radiofrequencies to identify and determine the structure of compounds on a molecular level. Our atoms are oscillating at specific frequencies. These were the frequencies that she measured as a research chemist when identifying the structure and composition of organic compounds. Samples were put in a super conducting magnet and irradiated with radiofrequencies which flipped the energy levels in the atoms. This enabled her to measure their specific and identifying frequencies. Lydia has given courses and consulted for business and residential Feng Shui clients over 20 years in USA, Spain, Ireland and South America. She currently lives with her husband in the south of Chile. To learn more about Dr. Lydia A. Do You See The Magic Of Your Existence?

— "Keep unlocking more of yourself, continuing to see the depth of love within yourself, to see the magic of your existence." Valeria Teles interviews Deepika Sandhu — the author of "Hello Universe, It's Me: How I scheduled a breakdown and manifested a new life (and how you can too)." Deepika Sandhu is a Mom, Business Woman and a book author. She was born in Surrey, British Columbia but spent most of her life in California. She is a Partner at a San Francisco Bay Area based Consulting Firm where she advise high-growth companies as they inspire the world with innovation. For over 20 years, she has helped transform burgeoning businesses into elegant operations. While she has worked with many of the most innovative, up and coming technology companies, her favorite title is Mom. She has the fortunate pleasure of being Mom to a fun-loving, sassy, brave and highly courageous seven year old. Life wasn't always so rosy. On the outside Deepika's life looked perfect – nice cars, nice home, nice clothes, nice purses, fun vacations and lots of smiles posted on social media. She was winning at the game of life. If she was in a giant football stadium, the big monitors over the field would be flashing in bold caps "YOU ARE KILLING IT." Problem is, she was not only killing it. It was killing her. None of her checklists, none of her to-do lists, and none of the activities or people that were filling my life were making me happy. She needed a control+alt+delete on my life. She needed a reboot. She needed to throw all those checklists out the window. She needed an "I Dream of Jeannie" head nod to shake things up and get this all back on track. So Deepika did the only thing a high powered, career woman, super mom and Pinterest enthusiast could do when her life is starting to crumble. She scheduled a breakdown. Her latest book is a story of how she scheduled a breakdown, raised her vibration and changed her life. Becoming Aware — Key To Clarity

— "One always reaps what one sows, and please, do not forget to worship the elegance of the simplicity of this universal rule." Valeria Teles interviews Sophie McLean — the author of "The Elegance of Simplicity: A Wisdom Teacher's Epic Journey to Awareness." Sophie McLean's mission is to contribute to the creation of a new culture for humankind; or the shift from Homo Sapiens to Homo Spiritus, as Dr. David Hawkins so beautifully wrote. Born in Algeria, educated in Morocco and France, with a professional career in the USA and UK, Sophie has led an eventful life. She has been a helicopter pilot, a teacher, a designer, a relief worker, a war refugee, a CEO, and served as a United Nations representative on The Commission on the Status of Women's Hunger Project. She has been shot at, shipwrecked, and widowed. She has lived on a farm, a boat, a penthouse, and in an ashram. As a wisdom teacher, Sophie has spent decades leading transformational seminars to over 80,000 people around the world, of all ethnicities, ages, religions, and social backgrounds – all engaged with the universal existential questions of "Who and what am I?" and "What is my life about?" Her seminar and podcast topics span both human and metaphysical dimensions – exposing and deconstructing the automatic ego, consciousness, freedom, love, stress, anxiety, fear, relationships, health, sex, money, ownership, leadership, spirituality, creation and evolution, the feminine and the masculine, responsibility, and making an effective, actionable difference in the world. Sophie engages people in a rigorous review of their life and a systematic questioning of their conclusions on the basis that without examining our network of ideas, beliefs, social and cultural judgments, and our assumptions about the world, those are transformed into constraints. Her interest is in the nature of what it means to be human. In Sophie McLean's life and work, she strives to bring elegance, worldly experience, grit, courage, and insight leading to revelation and transformation. Return Home — Discover Forgotten Wisdom

— "More than ever this is a time of hope rather than despair. It's time for listening with all our senses and being open to the answers when they come. Our ancestors heard the call of the forest and they heard the song of nature. Now it's our chance to discover that forgotten wisdom." Valeria Teles interviews Liz Jansen — the author of "Crash Landing: The Long Road Home." Healer, author, and motorcycle aficionado Liz Jansen combines her artistic mediums to create stories that inspire readers to embark on their own journey of self-discovery. No helmet or jacket required. Her healing approach blends wisdom from her experience as a Registered Nurse, Corporate Human Resources Professional, and Certified Practitioner in Shamanic Energy Medicine. Liz was born into a German Mennonite culture, the granddaughter of Russian refugees. At age sixteen, she began riding her brothers' motorcycle on her family farm and a motorcycle became her lifelong muse. In 2003, after leaving a twenty-five-year marriage and a career in Corporate Human Resources, she spent two months traveling across Canada and the United States figuring out what to do next. Since then, Liz has logged hundreds of thousands of miles of mostly solo travel across Canada and the United States. While she enjoys the rugged beauty of Ontario's northern wilderness, she has a particular fondness for the open expanses of the Canadian prairies and Midwestern plains. In 2014, at age sixty, Liz set out on a solo motorcycle quest, seeking the answer to how ancestral experiences and a culture she'd distanced herself from had shaped her. Barely three weeks into what was intended to be a twelve- to eighteen-month trip through the Americas, a crash changed her trajectory and ushered in a period of stillness. Two years later, back on her motorcycle, she completed that quest and got her answers. They weren't the answers she expected, and they'd appeared in a way she couldn't have imagined. Liz is a member of the Writers' Union of Canada and the Non-Fiction Authors Association. She's the author of Women, Motorcycles and the Road to Empowerment, Life Lessons from Motorcycles, and Crash Landing. She lives in Ontario with her cat, Measha, and Trudy, her Triumph Tiger motorcycle.
