In this episode of the Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris and Jeff get together to break down all the latest from the Detroit Lions as the summer break begins to set in for the NFL. After a week off, Chris and Jeff get together to break down the latest from Detroit Lions OTA (Organized Team Activities), positional moves, waiver wire moves, our annual Training Camp Listener Appreciation Party, St. Jude Fund Raiser, and a whole lot more! Give the guys a week to charge their batteries, and they’re going to come back tired but with a ton of new stuff to cover. As Tony Soprano would say, “whatta’ ya gonna do?” Detroit Lions Podcast OTAs are Underway The Detroit Lions OTA have started, Jeff has been there as a witness and will bring back what he’s seen so far from Aidan Hutchinson and the rest of the team with his look at how things are shaping up so far. Remember – even Chris would look like a first overall pick in shorts, there’s a long way to go from here… Some injury information, Jameson Williams is there everyday, dying to get to work as he heals, as are the rest of the players we are looking to see make their return from injury this year. Jeff Okudah is even doing solo drills. Lots of great stories to keep an eye on this year. The Detroit Lions made a move on the waiver wire and picked up DL John Cominsky, who was quite a hot commodity. Chris and Jeff will discuss his addition to the team, as well as what to look for from him. Also, we’ll discuss Ifeatu Melifonwu taking snaps at the safety position. Definitely a new position for him on the Lions. We’ll also share our teaser trailer that was made for our St. Jude 24-hour show and fundraiser event, as well as start talking about the Annual Training Camp and Listener Appreciation Party. We’ve got some preview information for you on that which you will absolutely want to catch. In this week’s show Chris and Jeff get together to break down the latest from Detroit Lions Rookie Camp, game schedule, St. Jude Charity Fundraiser, and more! There have been a number of great Detroit Lions press conferences over the course of the last week. The Detroit Lions draft picks have been at the mic, a number of vets, and we’ve seen how the players are moving in their walk-throughs. We’ll have our first impressions ready to share with you and a few predictions based on what we’ve seen so far. Detroit Lions Podcast – Rookies Are Checking All The Boxes Great work by the rookies so far, and great attitudes all around. There were some SOL fans talking about Jameson Williams not being happy to be with the team immediately following the draft, but he’s put those dopey takes straight to bed. Jamo is out there learning as much as he can while his knee continues to heal. There are a few conflicting opinions about his timing to hit the field, we’ll talk about those and what we expect. The Detroit Lions schedule came out after much anticipation. Some people feel disrespected, others appreciate how it landed. We’ll talk about that and share what we think about what it means and how it might change. We’ll also talk about some contract differences that contrast well with where the team is today and where it was at the last ground up rebuild. What’s similar, what’s different, and how the Lions might just be in a better position. Also, we’ll take live call-in questions as well as questions from the chat during our mail bag segment. In this week’s show Chris and Jeff are joined by Scott Bischoff and Russell Brown to conduct a full first round mock draft ahead of the 2022 NFL Draft. We’ll do a deep dive into why each team will take “their” guy with their pick in the draft.
