[434] Lions Back On The Field – Detroit Lions Podcast

In this episode of the Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris and Jeff return with the latest news and rumors about the Detroit Lions. The bye week is over and the Detroit Lions are back on the field this weekend against the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas has Dak Prescott returning to the field after being sidelined with a significant thumb injury. With the Lions heading to Dallas to take on a hungry Prescott, they have a lot to prove to fans and ownership after their performance so far in the 2022 NFL season. Detroit Lions Podcast Looking For Light From an injury perspective, the Lions appear to be getting a few players back from injury this week, which will definitely provide a lift for a team that desperately right now. A win for the Detroit Lions will go a long way to turn around the current perspective on the team and coaching staff. There are reports of the coaching staff’s seat’s being “on fire” right now, but seeing everything that’s going right with this team and how the roster has turned around so far, its far too early to pull the trigger. Injuries remain a huge issue for the team, and steps need to be taken to minimize or eliminate those no matter who is coaching this team. Buckle up, it’s going to be a big show! Speaking of “buckle up”, make sure to head over to our project with Detroit Lions shutdown cornerback Jerry Jacobs to help charities in Detroit. The Lions have the #1 scoring offense in the NFL, and the Patriots… don’t. [432] 2-Point Stance For Aidan Hutchinson? – The Detroit Lions Podcast

The Detroit Lions face the New England Patriots for the first time in the 2022 NFL season and the Lions defense had what can only be considered one of their worst games of the Dan Campbell era last week against the Seattle Seahawks. When analyzing how the Lions can improve their defense, all eyes point to first round pick, Aidan Hutchinson. Detroit Lions Podcast Design Aidan Hutchinson Improvement Aidan Hutchinson could potentially be hindered by the Detroit Lions playing him out of a 3-point stance. The Detroit Lions scheme is designed for Hutchinson to play out of a 3-point stance. Scott Bischoff looks at what it might look like for Aidan Hutchinson to move out a little wider and line up in a 2-point stance. He talks about how this might help Hutchinson get to the quarterback more often and be more disruptive in the opposing backfield. Scott also discusses what this means to the Detroit Lions defensive scheme and how they may be able to adjust to allow for Hutchinson to work in this way and improve his effectiveness. Everything comes at a cost, and Scott also looks at that. You can see the video version of this podcast on YouTube here: https://youtu.be/SPRbfx6Euak Get yourself a Classic Detroit t-shirt here! Scott takes a look at what it will take for the Lions to pull out a win against the Patriots in Foxborough. Detroit Lions Podcast Previews The New England Patriots Scott Bischoff spends some analyzing key match-ups for a heavily injured Detroit Lions team and looks to how the Patriots might try to schematically slow the Lions offense. [430] Lions Recalibrate The Defense – Detroit Lions Podcast

In this episode of the Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris and Jeff return with the latest news and conversation about the Detroit Lions. Its a strange universe we’re living in as Lions fans right now. With the team’s record being 1-3 and staring at the coach they fired for their last game prior to the bye week, its hard to know what to think, or what to expect this week. We’ve got you covered and will help you make sense of it all. Detroit Lions Podcast Makes Sense Of It All Detroit Lions fans must feel like they are taking crazy pills these days. When the offense is on the field, their team scores more points than any team in the NFL. When the defense takes the field though… They allow more points than any team in the NFL. Detroit Lions fans, coaches, and players are all frustrated with the dichotomy they are facing, and Coach Dan Campbell has vowed to make changes to clean things up on defense starting this week. Will it work? We might have a few suggestion for him along the way… After we show the way for coaches Dan Campbell and Aaron Glenn to fix the defense, we’ll talk about fan expectations. What to look for, what to expect, and to think back about where we thought this team was at the beginning of the year. At that point 6 wins was pretty much the agreed-upon number. Knowing these players and this coaching staff, there’s going to be a surge coming from this Detroit Lions team real soon. We’ll also talk about the return of Jerry Jacobs, Josh Paschal, and facing off against the man who touched Sandman right in his fandom, Matt Patricia. Buckle up, it’s going to be a big show! Speaking of “buckle up”, make sure to head over to our project with Detroit Lions shutdown cornerback Jerry Jacobs to help charities in Detroit. [429] Seattle Seahawks Post Game – Detroit Lions Podcast

In this episode of the Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris and Scott are here to break down the latest Lions news after the Detroit Lions faced off against the Seattle Seahawks. Its a tough time for the Detroit Lions and their fans right now. After their season on Hard Knocks and the expectations that have been created around progress in the rebuild, last week’s loss against the Minnesota Vikings started putting serious questions in the minds of those who expect progress from the Lions. Detroit Lions Podcast Reacts to Seattle Seahawks Detroit Lions fans aren’t interested in hearing about the effect of injuries on the team in the game against the Seattle Seahawks – even though there are a number of key players out this week. It feels like the team spent the entirety of the 2021 NFL season battling from behind due to injury. Progress needs to be attained for fans who are growing more restless with each game. The Seattle Seahawks are having troubles of their own and are ready to be plucked, particularly while playing on the road. The Lions desperately need a win this week, or if they lose, there can’t be any serious questions about coaching. Another coaching loss will raise some serious questions about what type of product is actually being produced by much loved coach Dan Campbell. Can the Lions capitalize against the Seahawks? We will see in this NFL week 4 match-up – and we’ll break everything down right here in your Detroit Lions vs. Seattle Seahawks Post Game Show. Buckle up, it’s going to be big! Speaking of “buckle up”, make sure to head over to our project with Detroit Lions shutdown cornerback Jerry Jacobs to help charities in Detroit. [428] Minnesota Vikings Post Game – Detroit Lions Podcast

In this episode of the Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris and Sandman are here to break down the latest Lions news after the Detroit Lions face off against the Minnesota Vikings. The Lions are riding high as one of the op-scoring teams in the league, while the Minnesota Vikings are coming off of a short week taking a loss against the Philadelphia Eagles. Across the board analysts say the Lions outperformed the Vikings against the Eagles, but there’s a reason they play the games, and today will tell the tale of who stands taller. Detroit Lions Podcast Downgrades The Minnesota Vikings The Detroit Lions are a different team in 2022 than they were in 2021, and they took huge strides from the team they were before at that point. Hard Knocks this year solidified that the Lions aren’t the team that everyone used to scoff at. Grit is the work the staff likes to use, but to the Detroit Lions, its not just a word. The Lions lead the league in running yards before contact, they lost by just 3 points to a team they lost by 38 to last year. The Lions are about to face the Minnesota Vikings at US Bank Stadium (U Spank Stadium) who they nearly beat last year. Momentum is on the side of the Detroit Lions. Can they capitalize against the Minnesota Vikings? We will see in this NFL week 3 match-up – and we’ll break everything down right here in your Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings Post Game Show. [426] Washington Commanders Post Game – Detroit Lions Podcast

In this episode of the Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris and Ash are back with this week’s post game show. The Detroit Lions took on the Washington Commanders today and whether its a celebration or a therapy session, the Detroit Lions Podcast is here to help. While the Defense has been a big story for the Lions so far, injuries to the offensive line are becoming a bigger story. Detroit Lions Podcast Washington Commanders Post Game The Detroit Lions are starting the season off on the wrong foot again with injuries across the offensive line. With all the high quality players they have and the fact that this line is believed to be a top 3 line in the league when healthy. Its another gut punch to have the starters unable to play a single snap of the season together through at least two games, potentially all 17. Can Hank Fraley’s piecemeal line step up to the task and protect Jared Goff from the vaunted Washington Commanders defensive front? This will be a key story to watch in this week’s game. Will D’Andre Swift be able to meet his production from last week despite his injury and the fact that he isn’t starting the game? There are a lot of questions about this Detroit Lions team mostly due to injury heading into this week two match-up against the Washington Commanders. Buckle up, it’s going to be a big show! [425] Lions Moral Victory or Progress? – Detroit Lions Podcast

In this episode of The Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris and Jeff are back together again with our first show after the start of the 2022 Detroit Lions NFL season. The Lions had a heck of a game against the Eagles, and showed the grit that coach Dan Campbell continues to preach. Playing through a tough first half, the team adjusted and came back to play the Philadelphia Eagles to a close loss. What does this mean for the Lions? SOL? Knocking rust? We’ll get into that and more. Detroit Lions Podcast Moral Victory or Progress? There’s a lot to unpack about the Lions performance, and we’ll go into it pretty deeply. We saw some significant output from Detroit Lions players that we need to unpack. D’Andre Swift had a heck of a game falling just short in the FedEx Ground Player of the Week voting. Jeff Okudah saw his first action since his Achilles injury in the first game of the season last year. We’ll talk about what we saw from him as well. The defense… was on the field. We’ll talk about their performance and what we should expect to see from them going forward and a whole lot more. We’ll also take a look at the upcoming game against the Washington Commanders. As always, we’ve got a great show for you this week on the Detroit Lions Podcast. Buckle up, it’s going to be a big show!
