[444] New York Giants Post Game – Detroit Lions Podcast Reacts

In this episode of the Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris and Sandman are back to react to the result of the Detroit Lions and New York Giants game. Lions win celebration? Detroit Lions loss therapy? We’re always ready for whatever comes, and we’re here to help you along the way. Detroit Lions Podcast Reacts The New York Giants are performing at a level that no one predicted this year. People are throwing around words like, “fraud”, “unsustainable”, and “pretenders”. No matter the pejoratives people choose to use, the New Your Giants have a 7-2 record heading into their game against the Detroit Lions. They’ve ridden the strength of their defensive front and cornerback play to that record, and we’ll discuss how the Detroit Lions offensive line stood up to the test. Daniel Jones, Saquon Barkley, and Darius Slayton will be putting the Detroit Lions defense to the test. The New York Giants key vulnerabilities are at linebacker, safety and at the slot corner position, so we’ll see if the Detroit Lions offense was able capitalize in the middle of the field at Met Life stadium. Jared Goff will likely be leaning on Brock Wright, Jamaal Williams, D’Andre Swift, and Shane Zylstra to move the ball. With the potential return of DJ Chark, the Lions might be able to put the Giants safeties to the test deep as well. Coming off of a two win streak, the Detroit Lions are riding high hoping to put a third win in the bag. A win against the New York Giants would put the Lions in 2nd place in the NFC north, something considered inconceivable three weeks ago. This is a signature game for Dan Campbell and the Detroit Lions organization. Its going to be an awesome show, so buckle up! Speaking of “buckle up”, make sure to head over to our project with Detroit Lions shutdown cornerback Jerry Jacobs to help charities in Detroit. [442] Detroit Lions Take Two In A Row – Detroit Lions Podcast

In this episode of the Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris and Jeff are back like a pair of Lions divisional wins to talk about another Lions victory week! As we know, the Detroit Lions put a second win in a row in the bag by topping the Chicago Bears on Sunday to bring their divisional record over.500. Detroit Lions Podcast Laps Up Chicago Bears Fan Tears The Chicago Bears proved that the “meathead” title belongs in the windy city after their reaction to the home loss against the Detroit Lions this week. They made all of the mistakes that the Lions typically do and let a 14 point lead slip through their fingers. As a fan, I get it, but tough toenails kids. This is where your Bears are, eat it. After celebrating that win, we start discussing how the Detroit Lions Defense has evolved. What has changed schematically, what’s changed from a personnel perspective, and what do these changes mean to the defense and broader team in practice? There may be a redemption arc on the defensive side of the ball, definitely something to keep an eye on. Dan Campbell’s coaching message seems to be landing with the players, and fans are starting to hop back on the train. It was a treacherous time in Detroit Lions land after that loss to the Patriots, but as we mentioned earlier, winning fixes everything. Fans are certainly hungry for more! We’ll talk about Aubrey Pleasant’s new job with the Green Bay Packers, and provide our first preview of the Detroit Lions game against the New York Giants at Meadowlands Stadium. Its an chance to seal the idea that the Lions are up to something good. Past teams would have choked on this opportunity, can Dan Campbell’s Detroit Lions seize the day? Detroit Lions vs. New York Giants – its going to be a big one. Also, its going to be an awesome show, so buckle up! Speaking of “buckle up”, make sure to head over to our project with Detroit Lions shutdown cornerback Jerry Jacobs to help charities in Detroit. [440] Chicago Bears Post Game – Detroit Lions Podcast Reacts

In this episode of the Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris and Sandman are back to react to the result of the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears game. Lions win celebration? Detroit Lions loss therapy? We’re always ready for whatever comes, and we’re here to help you along the way. Detroit Lions Podcast Reacts The Chicago Bears seem to have finally realized that Justin Fields is much more dangerous on the ground than via the air. Once the started designing the offense around Justin Fields as a dual threat, they started finding success in the NFL. This feels like a good week to start mixing in Justin Fields arm with his ground game and frustrating the Detroit Lions game plan. There’s no guarantee that Justin Fields can execute an NFL-caliber passing attack, and the Detroit Lions are looking to prove that he can’t. With the return of Jerry Jacobs across the field from Jeff Okudah, and Kerby Joseph rising fast, the Detroit Lions have new found trust in their secondary that didn’t exist earlier in the year. Josh Paschal and John Cominsky returning from injury have bolstered the Detroit Lions defensive line to a level of play it hasn’t been able to achieve until recently. The tale of this game is going to revolve around the play of Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions offense. The Lions offense has been maddening in its inconsistency this year. A lot of that can be attributed to a string of injuries, but the Detroit Lions need to see “Goo Jared Goff” this week at Soldier Field if they have any hope of victory. Its going to be an awesome show, so buckle up! Speaking of “buckle up”, make sure to head over to our project with Detroit Lions shutdown cornerback Jerry Jacobs to help charities in Detroit. The Lions pulled off an improbable win against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers, and Lions fans are alight with the FTP spirit! Detroit Lions Podcast Dunks On Aaron Rodgers What a pivotal week for both Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers fans. There were two potential scenarios, and both teams fate hinge on the unpredictability of the Lions. That’s what we said before the game, and boy has it ever materialized. We implore you to go read the description for the pregame podcast. It was written the night before the Detroit Lions faced off against the Green Bay Packers, and its all coming true. What a glorious dream its become. This week, we’ll definitely take some time to revel in the Detroit Lions victory, and maybe even enjoy some time tossing salt into the wounds of Green Bay Packers fans. Our motto, enjoy it if you can! There’s a distinct gap there. We’ll also cover a little bit of a gap that’s showing in the Green Bay Packers leadership, Aaron Rodgers style, and why it wears thin so quickly, while also comparing it to the Detroit Lions front office including Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell. We’ll cover the play clock, Josh Paschal, the Chicago Bears, and a whole lot more. Its going to be an awesome so, so buckle up! [437] Green Bay Packers Post Game – Detroit Lions Podcast Reacts

In this episode of the Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris and Ash are back to react to the result of the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers game. Lions win celebration? Detroit Lions lose therapy? We’re always ready for both, and here to help you along the way. Detroit Lions Podcast Reacts What a pivotal week for both Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers fans. With two potential scenarios both teams fate hinge on the unpredictability of the Lions. For example, if the Lions win… It could be enough to cause Aaron Rodgers to call the season (“we own you!”). That happens and packers fans begin the revolt. Jordan Love becomes the “guy” with a bunch of drop-prone receivers and a fan base that is split between making up with Rodgers, tanking to draft their next QB, and a couple who are “all-in” on Jordan Love. End result, the Packers franchise descends into the decades of humiliation they are due and fans refer to the “Aaron Rodgers curse…” If the Lions lose, it’s just closer to draft season. Nothing to see here, we’re used to it. Either way, buckle up it’s going to be a wild ride! [436] Detroit Lions Rebuild Stalling? – Detroit Lions Podcast

In this episode of the Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris and Jeff are back to chronicle the plight of the Detroit Lions while they push toward rebuild number 64. There is a lot to discuss regarding the progress the team has made so far and it seems like a fair time to ask if the Detroit Lions rebuild has stalled. Detroit Lions Podcast Reviews Rebuild It’s that time of year again. The Detroit Lions have found yet another way to lose a crucial game, giving fans yet another reason to question the progress of the team’s rebuild. The one consistent thing about the Lions losses this year are how inconsistent they are. Going from the top scoring offense in the league to one of the worst. From a bottom-ranked defense, to a squad performing at a much higher level. From having the quarterback who can seemingly get it done, to discussion of who the Detroit Lions will grab first overall in the draft to distribute the ball in 2023. The one consistent thing, as it has been for decades, the Lions get no justice from the officials. We’ll talk about what we’re seeing in all of those areas, talk about the future of Jared Goff, and discuss the threshold for Dan Campbell and Brad Holmes to maintain their jobs. There’s a lot to discuss, and some of it won’t be easy, so buckle up, it’s going to be a wild ride! [435] Dallas Cowboys Post Game – Detroit Lions Podcast Reacts

In this episode of the Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris and Sandman are back and ready to react to the result of the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys game today. We’re here to help everyone with the day’s results whether Lions fans are celebrating, or need a therapy session after the game. Detroit Lions Podcast Eyes The Dallas Cowboys Many Detroit Lions fans decided the bye week was a great time to walk away from the team and reset their expectations. Maybe re-prioritize the team, get some family time in, and maybe even hit the cider mill to grab some donuts and cider. A quick week slides bye, and here we are back at Detroit Lions game day, facing off against another opponent, and ready to be disappointed. The Dallas Cowboys are at home, getting Dak Prescott back, likely to change things up on defense, and are licking their chops to finally face a defense with problems like the Detroit Lions squad. Many Lions fans have already written this game off and are looking toward a game they think the Lions might have a better chance of winning. This is exactly when the Detroit Lions strike and put together a game in which they otherwise had been written off. The Lions have a top 5 scoring offense in the NFL, and after the Patriots game, teams think they have the Lions offense figured out. As a team that has low expectations from fans, a loss is just “par for the course” SOL etc. A win? The fan base would be revitalized, the SOL crew would be quieted, and the conversation will be about whether the bye week was the moment that cemented the “greatness” of the Detroit Lions and was the launch pad for their success going forward. Buckle up, it’s going to be a crazy ride! Speaking of “buckle up”, make sure to head over to our project with Detroit Lions shutdown cornerback Jerry Jacobs to help charities in Detroit.
