In this episode of the Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris and Jeff are back with the latest Detroit Lions rumors and news. The Detroit Lions season hangs in the balance of their upcoming game against the Green Bay Packers. Both teams have everything to play for as each needs a win to make the playoffs. The Lions needs some additional help from a Seattle Seahawks loss to make the playoffs, but controlling what you can control is what good teams do, and the Lions have been a good team in the last half of the 2022 NFL season. Detroit Lions Podcast Ready To Move On From Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers There has been the standard Aaron Rodgers bad mouthing going on, but this time the Detroit Lions are actually a formidable foe for the Green Bay Packers. Having beaten the Packers earlier in the season, the Lions are ready to show that it wasn’t a fluke, and the team has made it over the “hump” into the realm of being a real contender in the NFL. This season has meant so much to the Lions organization and its fans – proof laid bare that the team is ahead of schedule in its rebuild. Chris has talked about the “passing of the torch”, what a Lions win in Lambeau Field means for the franchise not just today, or this season, but in the process of exorcising the ghosts of the past and moving this team toward the playoffs, victories in the playoffs, and ultimately a Super Bowl championship. This would be that fairy tale story that Lions fans have been hoping for for over six decades. Their current record has them as the second worst team in the league – even the Russell Wilson led Denver Broncos have more wins than the Chicago Bears. That being said, the Detroit Lions have their work cut out for them coming off of a difficult loss against the Carolina Panthers and going toe-to-toe with a division rival. Detroit Lions Podcast Reacts The Carolina Panthers have their own playoff hopes to content with. With the firing of head coach Matt Rhule this year, the Carolina Panthers chances were written off early. The NFC South doesn’t seem to have a team that really wants to take the division convincingly, so a number of bad teams have an opportunity at a decent playoff spot – the Carolina Panthers being one of them. Sam Darnold has played surprisingly well for a team that also ditched its starting quarterback in Baker Mayfield. Its been quite a turn of events in Carolina, and the Panthers are going to prove no easy task for the Detroit Lions. The weather will definitely be a factor as well. Forecast to be one of the coldest games ever played in Carolina. As a major storm sweeps across the United States, a number of games are at risk of having the weather create difficult playing conditions. Its bound to be a crazy week across the entire NFL this week. This game is key to the future of the Detroit Lions 2022 NFL season and playoff hopes. The Detroit Lions face the Minnesota Vikings for the first time at home in the 2022 NFL season. Lions fans are looking for a huge win that could propel Dan Campbell’s Detroit Lions to the playoffs for the first time since 2016. The Minnesota Vikings have found new life this year with head coach Kevin O’Connell. They’ve found close wins behind the legs of running back Dalvin Cook and wide receiver Justin Jefferson. While the Lions have had their difficulties early this season, after their strong 4-1 record over the previous five weeks have fans sniffing around at the playoffs with a win against the Minnesota Vikings in week 14 of the 2022 NFL season. Chris and Jeff are back with the latest Detroit Lions rumors and news. We definitely couldn’t let this week go by without acknowledging the amazing win the Detroit Lions notched against the Jacksonville Jaguars. It was a comfortable win, one in which the Lions excelled in all three phases of the game, and one that has Detroit rising up the power rankings quickly. In this episode of the Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris and Ash are back to react to the result of the Detroit Lions and Jacksonville Jaguars game. Lions win celebration? Detroit Lions loss therapy? We’re always ready for whatever comes, and we’re here to help you along the way. The biggest question facing the Lions and Detroit Lions fans, does the return of Jameson Williams signal the start of a Lions run to the playoffs? This game will be the decider on whether the Detroit Lions remain in the hunt for that wildcard playoff opportunity. Detroit Lions Podcast Reacts The Detroit Lions offense needs to take advantage of the weaknesses that can be found on the Jaguars defense. Jacksonville Jaguars are weak against the pass over the middle, at one outside cornerback and the nickle corner position. If the Lions can get Jameson Williams lined up against the Jags Montaric Brown, magic could happen very quickly. Amon Ra St Brown should have some great opportunities over the middle as well. This is going to be a game that hinges on the ability of the Detroit Lions offense to score. They put up the points, and they’ll walk away winners this week. On the Defensive side of the ball, the Lions have Jeff Okudah, Romeo Okwara, and Josh Paschal returning to the team from injuries, and just as other teams are feeling the pain of injuries, the Detroit Lions are starting to get healthy. If the Lions defense can play the way they have the last few weeks and Aidan Hutchinson and and Alim McNeil can continue their strong run, the Detroit Lions have a great opportunity to shut down the Jacksonville Jaguars offense. Of course, the Jacksonville Jaguars are getting paid as well, and they’ll have a say in the outcome of this game. One can’t look past the Jags, as they are also a team on the rise and one that should be taken seriously. Its going to be an awesome show, so buckle up! The Detroit Lions face the Jacksonville Jaguars for the first time since beating them in the 2020 NFL season in Jacksonville. Lions fans are looking for a bounce back win from Dan Campbell’s Detroit Lions after a heartbreaking Thanksgiving loss against he Buffalo Bills. The Lions were in a game against a potential Super Bowl contender until the very end only to have their hopes dashed in spectacular fashion. The national media is praising the Detroit Lions for the progress they have made and the local media and fans are just not having it. There is a lot of criticism of this team, yet they continue to play at an above-expected level for this point in the rebuild. There is more to be written on the Detroit Lions season, and it will be interesting to see how a world of people who predicted no more than 6 wins reacts to a 7 or 8 win season… We will also discuss whether we will see Jameson Williams and what his potential return looks like, discuss Jared Goff’s performance against the Buffalo Bills, talk playoffs, and preview the Jacksonville Jaguars. Its going to be a great game, and its going to be an awesome show, so buckle up!
