Send us Fan MailThe Ones Ready team sits down with a newly graduated Physician Assistant (PA), Jon Courtright.  John was enlisted in the US Air Force after spending some time in Japan to become a PJ.  He was a PJ for many years and even served at one of the special mission units where many of our Special Warfare team members go.  After being at that unit for nine years, John decided to try his hand at being a PA.  Just a few weeks ago he graduated and is on his way to his next assignment and the brand new chapter in his professional and personal life.  Please enjoy the episode and give us your feedback. Send us Fan MailBuckle up ladies and gentlemen because this episode of the Ones Ready podcast is a doozy!  Capt Jon "JMac" MacKenzie is a USAF Special Warfare Combat Rescue Officer or CRO for short.  JMac was prior enlisted as a USAF Crew Chief where he worked on C-130s, but then crosstrained to be an enlisted PJ.  After doing the PJ mission for 10+ years he was compelled to take the officer route which landed him as a CRO.  JMac covers a bunch of different topics, like failures, why he made the move he did, a lot on Phase II, and deployments.  He's a bundle of energy that cannot and will not be contained.  He's a good friend of ours and will help to stir you in the right direction for your path to be a CRO, AFSPECWAR, or the SOF Community as a whole.  Please enjoy this episode and give us your feedback. "Wink" Winkeleer who is a Special Tactics Officer who recently transitioned from being an enlisted Combat Controller.  They discuss the differences between the roles of enlisted and officers as well as what growing pains Wink had during his transition and his views on the Air Force Special Warfare going forward.  They also discuss the recent changes to the officer AFSCs within Special Warfare (19Z series AFSCs).  There is some story time thrown in from Wink's experiences when he was in Okinawa, Japan and the humanitarian aid and relief efforts in Puerto Rico post Hurricane Irma and Maria.  Wink is absolutely a pipe hitter and we feel privileged to have him on.  Please enjoy this episode and give us your feedback. Send us Fan MailOn this week's episode of the Ones Ready podcast, we sit down with Amanda who is an active duty Major in the US Air Force.  She's been in Force Support the majority of her career which she will explain what Force Support is during the episode.  After a few years in though, she had the chance to become one of the first TACP females after combat related jobs opened up to women.  As a seasoned officer and physical specimen, she was a force to be reckoned with.  She'll go through some of her challenges that she faced during assessment and selection, some of her favorite and not so favorite parts of the pipeline, and also how she ultimately was not able to pass due to a land navigation error.  This was a fun episode to record and gives some good insight and perspective to consider when you're considering joining Special Warfare.  Please enjoy this episode and give us your feedback. We also talk about some of our personal failures and talk about how focusing on your failures could cause you to fail over and over.  Funny enough we also discuss how one of our teammates from our time in the UK failed by jumping, focusing on a cow, hitting said cow, having said cow poop on him, and then being dragged through more poop.  It's a good little story!  Please enjoy this episode and give us your feedback.
