Send us Fan MailEveryone is going to want to buckle up for this rollercoaster of an episode where the Ones Ready team and  “OB” discuss how the Thai Cave Rescue transpired.  These teams from numerous countries were able to work together against all odds (a continuously flooding cave, hungry and scared kids, cold water, an enormous cave network, shall I continue???).  There are some real nailbiters in this episode and you can see it in the faces of the Ones Ready team as OB explains what happened.  Everyone involved in this rescue did an outstanding job and is the reason that soccer team is alive today.  This type of high-level problem solving is exactly what Special Warfare is looking for and if this is the type of person you are, then you need to join us!  Please enjoy this episode and give us your feedback. Send us Fan MailThe U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command has a unique set of skills.  Skills that make saving lives easy for someone like them.  They're called the Special Tactics Special Operations Surgical Team or SOST for short.  The Ones Ready team spoke to two of these SOST pipe hitters about what it takes to be SOST and the type of person they're looking for.  Their ability and willingness to push to forward locations with SOF teams make them uniquely qualified to save lives in less than perfect situations.  SOST also shoot, move, and communicate as part of the SOF core skillset that has come to be expected of every SOF element in the inventory.  A solid section of questions from Ones Ready followers with answers to your questions.  Please enjoy this episode and give us your feedback. Send us Fan MailOn this episode, the Ones Ready team will discuss some of the differences between officers and enlisted within Special Warfare.  We’ll discuss how we see the roles of an officer and an enlisted member differ when thinking about who is “in charge” and who is “in command” because there is a difference.  Some of the good characteristics of officers will be covered as well as some of the less desirable traits.  More importantly though, we discuss how an officer and enlisted member should conduct business with each other and how they can be successful while in A&S, the pipeline, on team, or even as a command leadership team. Send us Fan MailEvery once in a while living legends will step in your life and function at such a high-level that they unwillingly embarrass you.  Roomba is that person in the TACP career field.  Roomba started off as a conventional TACP working large maneuvering Army Armor (tanks) units. Send us Fan MailWhat a year Pararescueman TSgt Kenneth "OB" O'Brien has had!  First he was part of the Thai Cave rescue operations, treated a Korean after a tractor fire, was part of President Trump's medical protection detail, saved an infant on his flight on the way to be named United States Air Force 12 Outstanding Airmen Of The Year!  All of this happened in a span of a year, while most people wait their entire career for these opportunities.  OB is an absolute stud, but he comes with baggage.  He is affectionately referred to by his teammates as a "Black Cloud", but he prefers to be considered a "Gray Cloud" because not everything that happens around him turns out bad!  Enjoy getting to know OB as we have and we look forward to having him on the podcast again.
