So many people have ideas about how they'd like to change the world for the better, but they allow their limiting beliefs, or expectations from others, or any of a host of other challenges to stop them before they start. My guest today, Krista Kleiner, talks about pushing through her own challenges to create a global effort to spread love and unity in a wide variety of areas, and she is truly making a difference. In today's episode Krista talks about: What it means to lead with love Her motivation for doing good in the world that started at age 6 The important role challenges can play in our lives How becoming Miss Philippines International kickstarted a new period of personal growth How she started The One Heart Movement Some of the critical initiatives around the world that The One Heart Movement has launched The value of working in community Overcoming self-limiting beliefs About Krista: Krista Kleiner is former Miss Philippines International and now a humanitarian and founder of The One Heart Movement. The #OneHeartHandoff campaign took the world by storm during the month of love and continues to gain momentum, garnering over 20 million hits on social media with the likes of TikTok sensations Charli D'Amelio and her sister Dixie D'Amelio joining the movement to spread the message of love to their millions of followers. 194 An Extraordinary and Impactful Life with Marjorie Margolies

My guest today has a lot to say about a lot of things, and that makes sense, because she has such a rich, diverse set of experiences behind her. Member of the US Congress. Emmy-award winning journalist. Founder and head of an international nonprofit empowering women leaders around the world. The list goes on. And as it turns out, when our interview ran into a roadblock for technical reason, she came over to our house and sat in my dining room for the interview, since she lives in my neighborhood! I am thrilled and honored to bring you a wide-ranging conversation with the Honorable Marjorie Margolies. In today's episode Marjorie talks about: Being the first single American to adopt a child from another country Being elected to the US House of Representatives Creating a family in a non-traditional way How politics has changed since she was in office Teaching a class at U Penn with the grandson of President Eisenhower Creating and running Women's Campaign International About Marjorie: Marjorie Margolies is the author of five books, an Emmy-award winning best-selling journalist, congresswoman, and the first single American to adopt internationally. After 25 years with NBC, Margolies ran for U.S. Congress in 1991 as a Democrat in a historically Republican district of suburban Philadelphia and became the first woman elected in her own right in the state of Pennsylvania. Margolies also devoted her life to supporting women and girls. She founded and runs Women's Campaign International, a nonprofit working to empower women leaders around the world to mobilize their communities and engage politically. Besides breaking down historic boundaries, Margolies also had to deal with heartbreaking tragedies including divorce and the death of a child. Her intention is for women of every generation to recognize themselves in her story and learn how to nurture themselves and the life decisions they have made. Margolies is a professor at the University of Pennsylvania and the grandmother of 21. She shares three grandchildren with Hillary Clinton.
