#689 I May Have Pushed Your Buttons But I Didn't Install Them - Dr. Daniel Ellenberg
Daniel Ellenberg (Ph.D.) is a psychotherapist, marriage and relationship therapist, author, corporate speaker and educator but more importantly (for TYP), he’s a down-to-earth, humble and brilliant communicator with a gift for breaking down (what can be) complicated and complex issues, into an insightful, helpful and fun conversation. In this episode, we speak about vulnerability, identity, self-awareness vs. self-loathing, dealing with feedback (who should we listen to?), being a ‘passenger’ in our own life, finding purpose and lots more. Enjoy. daniel@rewireleadership.com daniel@relationshipsthatwork.comSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

#688 A Life Of Service - Theresa Mitchell
Theresa Mitchell is the founder of Agape Outreach, a not-for-profit organisation which works tirelessly serving the homeless. It literally started with Theresa walking past people living on the street (daily), seeing a massive need and choosing to do something about it. She decided to cook meals in her home and put herself in front of the people who most needed that kind of love and support. Thirteen years down the track she hasn’t stopped and now this amazing woman is the head of an organisation with more than two hundred volunteers, supporting thousands of people living around the NSW-QLD border. Oh and I almost forgot, along the way Theresa has also fostered thirty-seven children in her own home (caring for up to five at time). I love what she’s doing so much that, half way through our chat, I committed to running an online fundraiser workshop, with all the proceeds going to the outreach program. Details up soon. Some people make me want to be a better person. Theresa is one of them. Enjoy. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

#687 More Conversation, Less Podcast - Dr. Denise Furness
If I’ve ever done a podcast that didn’t feel like it, this is the episode. Dr. Denise and I went full ‘selfish’ mode, forgot about the listeners (sorry) and just had a casual catch up about lots of stuff that was (is) interesting and relevant to us two. We had intended to talk about the impact that relationships (of all kinds) can have on our health (for better or worse), but we never got there. Oops. Next time. Having said that, I really enjoyed this conversation and I know many of you will too. drdenisefurness.com.auFacebook Group: Your Genes and Nutrition CommunitySee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

#686 Quitting Sugar - David Gillespie
TYP regular, researcher, best-selling author, feather-ruffler and lawyer, David Gillespie is back and this time we talk about will power, the addictive properties of sugar, the role of dopamine, taking a self inventory, substituting foods, diet modification, yes or no on bread, fruit and artificial sweeteners and more. Enjoy. David's Article See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

#685 Food Fibs & Fairytales (Part 2) - Matty Lansdown
PART TWO: Last time we had Matty Lansdown (Scientist, Researcher, Nutritionist) on, we had great feedback, so at great expense to the organisation, we’ve dragged him away from his hammock and spoodle to pick his considerable brain about some of the most common food myths, fallacies and misconceptions. Apparently, buttered white bread rolls filled with cheese Twisties are a nutritional no-no, despite the fact that they sustained me through year eight. Somehow, my ‘research’ doesn’t count. Enjoy. #684 Adapt or Die (Part 2) - Mick Hall
Dramatic title I know but it’s literally how we’ve survived as a species (one of the most physically vulnerable but intelligent) for millennia. However, the death of which I speak here is more metaphoric in nature, than it is literal. Mick Hall, the bloke who started using drugs and alcohol at twelve, was in and out of prison until thirty, lived on the streets, almost died using heroin, survived countless life-threating situations (and people) and has now been clean and sober for twenty-one years (in a few weeks) is back on TYP sharing stories, insights and lessons, around all-things addiction, recovery, survival, mindset and even, spirituality. Enjoy. dayhab.com.auSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

#681 Ten Daily Questions - Harps
I have an early morning ritual (at the café) of asking myself a few questions, generally focusing on efficiency, productivity, problem-solving and gratitude. I use this ritual to put myself in the best headspace, emotional state and creative space to successfully navigate the day ahead. They’re not the same questions every day and there’s no strict protocol but for me, it’s a valuable part of my daily operating system. In this episode, I share some of the questions I most frequently ask myself and explain why I think such a practice can be a good start to the day. Enjoy. #680 Will The Universe Really Provide? - Harps & Tiff
Like many episodes of TYP, this is more of a ‘general conversation’ around the title question, than it is a ‘definite answer’ to it. Of course. Among other things, we discuss (1) What people are referring to (specifically) when they use the term ‘Universe’ (2) if the Universe is another term for God (3) Where the idea of the Universe providing comes from (4) the potential risk of relying on direction, signs and provision from the Universe (5) Why the concept is so popular (6) whether the Universe is a conscious form of intelligence concerning itself with the individual needs of eight billion people… and lots more.
