Dating Your Spouse During Challenging Times

About this episode We're recording this at a time when many people are still living with some form of stay-at-home orders. Others can go out, but aren't sure if it's safe. And many others are facing financial difficulties, such as job loss, reduced work hours, or uncertainty about the future of their job or business. All of those things make the idea of "date night" seem rather daunting. But even beyond the current crisis, lots of couples face challenges to enjoying a regular "date night." Money may be tight, they may not have childcare, or they may be too tired to figure out what to do. So today we're going to talk about date nights for challenging times, whatever your challenge may be. These are simply ways to plan some fun with your spouse – at home or in your community – that don't cost a lot of money and don't take a lot of time and energy. From the Bible Song of Songs 7:11-13 Let us go early to the vineyards to see if the vines have budded, if their blossoms have opened, and if the pomegranates are in bloom— there I will give you my love. The mandrakes send out their fragrance, and at our door is every delicacy, both new and old, that I have stored up for you, my beloved.
