Jesus said He is the Resurrection and the Life. Because of our union with Him, we are permanently one with Christ, Who is the Resurrection and the Life. Revelation of this empowers us to experience this reality in our lives. This is a message not for just a privileged few, who have somehow “arrived” but for ALL of God’s kids! You are being unveiled with the truth of who you are, packed full of glory and resurrection power from glory to glory. Holy Spirit in you is the One accomplishing this. One of the greatest needs humanity has is that of robust intimate love relationship. We were simply made for love and in the image and likeness of Love Himself. Learning to love in a fallen world full of unhealthy agendas is difficult and thorny. This is nowhere more prevalent than in our relationship with God. Humanity, those identifying themselves as Christians or not, struggles with experiencing real intimacy with God. The lies of a distant, disapproving taskmaster, who demands obedience and service and metes out punishment if we don’t meet His requirements is not a God anyone wants to cozy up to. Jesus is the express image of the Father and is motivated purely out of relationship. He is Love and His love does not come with any other agenda than laying down His life to serve His kids, Who are hopelessly lost in fallen perspectives and ways of being without Him. We simply are massively confused! Truly apart from acting out of our intimate union with Him we can do nothing. How do we experience healing and joyful intimacy with God? God is a long range planner. His saves, heals, delivers, transforms, and redeems all things. But the redemptions process may seem so slow and covert it may feel like He is tardy and withholding. The human cry for justice can come out as an accusation that God is slack, weak, cold, distant, unreliable, or even twisted and the source of evil. He allows Himself to be accused and mocked, even as He works out the redemption of all things. And in the midst He gives us the capacity to endure with overflowing joy as we rest in the completion, fulfillment and redemption of all things. Encountering Him in the midst of pain and sorrow brings us up into peace and joy that truly passes all understanding. How we see God impacts everything! If God is seen as small, wimpy, and distant, we have nothing bigger than ourselves upon which we can build our lives. If we see God as huge, masterful, and loving we are seeing Him correctly and can rest in faith. We have hope, peace, and joy. It is not enough to know scriptural truth.
