Savannah Wright - fitness in your 20's vs. 30's, personal upbringing, fitness trends

Growing up with bodybuilder parents, Savannah Wright thought calorie scales, gym talk, and discipline were just… normal. In this episode, she sits down with us for a raw, grounding conversation about how that upbringing shaped her relationship with food, fitness, and her body. We talk about how fitness actually changes in your 20s vs. your 30s -physically, mentally, hormonally- and the identity shifts that come with it. Savannah opens up about losing motivation, getting her spark back, and the habits that quietly changed her life, from learning to rest deeply to sitting with uncomfortable emotions instead of running from them. This episode normalizes the non-linear nature of health: scale fluctuations, emotions, changing goals, and evolving "whys." We also dive deep into women's health—lifting, hormones, recovery, nutrition—and discuss fitness myths. If you're navigating growth, burnout, discipline, or a new season of womanhood, this conversation will make you feel seen, steadied, and inspired to keep going. Why I created "Her Health"

A space where women talk about women's health. This podcast is a space for honest, intelligent conversations about women's health — beyond quick fixes and surface-level advice. From my early passion for health to my own experiences feeling dismissed by doctors, I realized what so many women already know: our bodies are still misunderstood, under-researched, and often overlooked. For decades, medical research was built primarily on male bodies, leaving major gaps in women's care that still affect us today. This podcast exists to help close that gap by bringing together women doctors, researchers, and inspiring women to ask better questions, share real experiences, and empower women to understand and take ownership of their health. Thank you for being here — I'm so excited to start this journey with you.
