How to deal with office politics.

When I suggested the idea #apodadayinmay in the podcast's closed Facebook group and asked what people wanted to hear, questions and requests for shows about how to deal with office politics, corporate culture and workplace issues made up about 60% of the comments. So in this episode I want to address the topic as a whole, offers some resources but also use it as a place to say that this definitely a subject we are going to explore in much more detail with the help of experts and contributors who can add value to the conversation. In the meantime, here are the links referenced in the show:How to Survive a Cutthroat Corporate Culture by Liz Ryan on Forbes.comThe Moment I Realised I was Working for an Idiot by Liz Ryan on Forbes.comWhat I Learned about Office Politics that Changed my Career by Bonnie Marcus on Forbes.com5 Tips for Dealing with Office Politics when you're a Nice Person on cnbc.comOffice Politics: How to Thrive in a World of Lying, Backstabbing and Dirty Tricks by Oliver James.Be Bulletproof: How to achieve success in tough times at work by James Brooke and Simon Brooke. To join the closed Facebook group for the podcast click here >> The Emma Guns Show Forum. To follow me on social media >> Twitter | Instagram.Hey! Quick and Easy Meals.

When I asked listeners what they wanted to hear about on #apodadayinmay a lot of requests to discuss food, diet and nutrition were sent in. I am now on the hunt for the right sort of expert to discuss things such as emotional eating, binge eating and the more complex issues around our diets and what we eat as it's a topic that deserves its own show and also the right person to contribute to the conversation. In this episode though I'm answering the question about my favourite foods, meals and recipes with my Top 5 Easy meals...Amelia Freer's Beef Curry.Amelia Freer's Simple Prawn, Coconut and Aubergine Curry.Eve Kalinik's Sweet Potato & Halloumi Warm Salad.Eve Kalinik is also the nutritional therapist I saw when I was struggling with gut issues related to stress and anxiety. The best self-help books and how to read more.

It's time to talk books, my favourite books, in fact. This episode features those reads I have found most useful, and hope you find useful to, in the genre of self-help and self-improvement. Plus, I've included some handy hacks if you want to consume more books, but can't seem to find the time...Update: In this episode I mentioned learning styles because, based on my own experience, I tend to be a more visual learner, but the learning style I outlined have been disputed in studies. Music to workout to.

I rarely exercise without music and a great playlist can turn a good workout into a great one. In this episode I share the three different types of playlist I like to create to keep me company on my runs and during my resistance workouts. Plus, for your enjoyment, I've created some Spotify playlists for workouts that you can download/follow too.BPM - Steady Jog - a great, pop playlist to accompany a steady, easy jog.Crescendo Playlist - those songs that start off slow, build up and take you beyond your personal best.Feelgood Exercise - the tracks that'll get you in your gym kit even on days when you aren't feeling the pull of the gym. I will not apologise for all the Beyonce and Gaga. 😉To join the closed Facebook group for the podcast click here >> The Emma Guns Show Forum. To follow me on social media >> Twitter | Instagram.Hey!
