Tash the Medic is a Student Doctor and Mental Health Advocate with a huge social media following. At the start of lockdown she set up her social media accounts to document a day in the life of a student doctor and to talk about and breakdown the stigma around mental health. She now has over 6000 followers on Instagram. Tash joins me this week to share her experiences of using social media to help others. How she has used it to share tips to get into a career in medicine, study tips and her experiences of depression ad anxiety. She shares honestly that it's ok to not be ok and that you can recover from it. "My Instagram platform gives me a really good way of breaking down those barriers I've set for myself and I try to portray a much more realistic life as a medical student." #60: The Value of a Loose Agenda

If you are trying to build trust or trying to develop a rapport with your team, client or colleagues, sometimes a structured agenda isn't always helpful. In this episode, I talk about the benefits of having a loose agenda to try and make your meetings more productive. We often think an agenda brings structure, but it can actual be a barrier. #58: How to Have a Good Day

In my experience, I have found that a positive mindset and a willing to think positively will get you far. So in today's episode, I share some of the key things that I do to keep me thinking positively and have the day I want to have – lots of them are inspired by the book 'How to Have a Good Day' by Caroline Webb. The steps I take include being prepared, affirmations, setting behavioural goals and ensuring I give myself enough breaks during the day. I also share some really helpful tips on being realistic with your time and knowing when to stop. "Positive affirmation is really powerful, so create a checklist, create a routine, create a ritual to make sure you have the day you want." #55: End of Life Care with Clare Fuller

Clare Fuller is a Nurse and Lead Practitioner for Palliative and End of Life Care with over 30 years of experience in this area. She is a mum and yoga enthusiast and is also a good friend of mine, and I wanted to talk about this topic with a friend and someone I really trust because it's close to my heart. Lisa Rodrigues is currently a Writer, Coach and Mental Health Campaigner and has spent 13 years of her career as CEO of Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. She was awarded a CBE for services to the NHS in 2012, and has become known for challenging the stigma of mental illness whilst suffering with depression and mental health issues herself. Lisa joins me today to share some of the amazing experiences throughout her career. She talks about how leaders can create diversity in a team, and how to support the diversity in your team. She shares some of the ways leaders can help support colleagues suffering from mental health issues. She also talks about her experiences of feeling imposter syndrome when writing, and how the best communicators are the ones who say things in the simplest ways.
