This week on Dyl & Friends one of my fav players of all time and all round just good person, Jarryd Roughead.Roughy is a game and x4 time premiership player with Hawthorn FC.Recapping his story through this chat just made me realise what this man has achieved in his time in the game. Being able to win flags and play some incredible football for one club over a long period of time is crazy, careers don't come around like this too often!Not only has Roughy done some incredible things on the field but his resilience and positive outlook on life through his cancer scares throughout his time is nothing short of remarkable. This week we have Nick Stone on the show! Nick Stone is a former AFL player with Hawthorn, Collingwood and St Kilda Football Club. He played 20 games across 5 years in the AFL and has some incredible stories.When footy finished, Nick moved over to New York in 2010 to work in investment banking and through working in the US Nick discovered a gap in the coffee and cafe industry - there was nothing that compared to an Australian coffee in the US. With no real experience in hospitality, he opened his first cafe Bluestone Lane in 2013 to remedy the need for an Aussie-style café in America, growing the concept to over 50 stores by the end of 2019.The story is bloody unbelievable! One of the biggest names and bodies in the league, Max Gawn. Loved this chat with this superstar! This week on the show one of the worlds worlds most renowned big wave surfers and Australia's own, Mark Mathews. Mark has an incredible story - he grew up in Maroubra, 10kms south east from Sydney. As many of you may know Maroubra was made pretty famous back in the early 2000s from the Bra boys in which Mark was big part of.He spoke about his journey growing up in a pretty tough neighbourhood, pushing the limits in and out of the water, and how he came to surf some of the biggest waves in the world.He talks in depth about a massive moment in his life when he almost died surfing Shipsterns Bluff in Tasmania which took a massive toll on his health and confidence. The way he got himself back to his best is nothing short of amazing with a heap of incredible techniques to challenge your thoughts. This week Ive called on one of my favourite ever teammates in Matty De Boer. Mark Wales is an ex-commandor in the SAS. He embarked on 10 tours of duty including four tours in Afghanistan.
