Episode 407 - A Conversation with Frankie Boyle
Jimmy sat down at lunch with comedian/comic book writer Frankie Boyle when he was in London for Kapow Con. Good pal/fellow podcaster Barry Nugent (Geek Syndicate) came along for the ride to join in the fun. Frankie is known for his "controversial/in your face" comedy so there is some bad language throughout. However, he's a pleasant fellow who knows his comic books well! The guys chat about Frankie's comic in Clint Magazine called Rex Royd, growing up reading comic books, his last comedy tour, his books and overall career. Really great discussion! Jimmy ends with a couple of profile questionairres to sum it all up. This episode is also a crossover with Stated Magazine and will appear on that website some time in the near future. Jimmy covered the Kapow Comic Con in London last weekend and got tons of great interviews with the likes of Mark Millar, Jonathan Ross, John McCrea, Gary Erskine, Dave Barris, Emily Lockwood, Scott Mackay (Electric Man), Gemma Bedea, Lee Fenton Wilkinson (Afroella), Neil Gibson (Twisted Dark), Rasheed, Tayo Olarewaju (Mister Who), Steve Tanner (Time Bomb Comics)! He recorded the show with Self Made Hero publisher Emma Hayley in their posh offices. Since there was such massive coverage, he threw the format show out the window and just did a big Kapow recap with interviews. So no news, reviews, Top 3 or feedback.
