Ep 231 - James Willcox on running in 'difficult' countries

Send us Fan MailSometimes running around your local park for a timed, weekly 5k just doesn't cut it. You want some more adventure, some more culture, something that completely changes the way you see the world. No, we're not talking Brighton Marathon... we're talking participating in races that take place in some unusual and largely unvisited ares of the world - or areas where you would NEVER think of travelling right now. Step in James Willcox, founder of Untamed Borders, a company that specialises in just that. When David ran the Afghanistan marathon, it was Untamed Borders who supported the race with their on-ground knowledge. In this episode, David speaks to James about organising and visiting places that are off-the-map to so many, the challenges and the benefits of seeing the world from a different perspective.  Mogadishu marathon anyone?  Enjoy!
