The brand that’s given away 15,000+ bars of soap during COVID-19 with Kassi Emadi, Founder of Nuddy
Omg I never knew how fab soap bars could be. Kassi Emadi started her conscious brand a few short years ago with the vision to bring sparkle back into a tired industry, through a millennial focused brand. She moved back in with her parents and grew her UK made brand out of the garage, and it’s nuts how quickly she grew it and found her tribe. Nuddy is stocked in retailers around the globe like Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Pretty Little Thing and Boohoo, and it’s all managed by Kassi herself. The best part is where she tells us about a very special project she launched as we went into lockdown, spoiler alert: she’s given away more than 15,000 soap bars for people in need during the current pandemic. I love this episode SO much - if you could have seen my face and all the silent LOLs I was having you would be in a FIT. We cover every step of the way to launch a purpose driven brand, what to do when things go wrong, prioritising stellar customer service, the most important revenue driver and why it's important to leverage your network: sliding into DMs is def a thing. If you know someone who has an idea and wants to launch a brand, please share this with them.LINKS WE MENTION:Nuddy's website: https://nuddy.co.uk/Nuddy's InstagramKassi's Instagram How I Built This podcast 📱 Join 160K smart chicks in the Female Startup Club universe→ Apply to join our inner circle: https://apply.femalestartupclub.com/apply→ Female Startup Club's Instagram: www.instagram.com/femalestartupclub→ Doone Roisin's Instagram: www.instagram.com/dooneroisin→ Get opportunities delivered to your inbox here: https://female-startup-club.beehiiv.com/ Hosted on Acast. How Harvard’s 'Entrepreneurship Essentials’ program helped launched one of the world’s most progressive sexual wellbeing startups, with Eva Goicochea, Founder of Maude
Today I’m chatting to Eva Goicochea, the founder of a sexual wellbeing company called Maude. A brand that's championing the path for modern intimacy, sexual health and education. Eva started the brand back in 2015 and has pioneered the path forward for changes in how we see and speak about our intimacy, mental health and sexual wellbeing. We managed to squeeze this episode in after a few tech issues - which is the story of my life right now - and an important meeting that Eva had coming up, so it’s quick but it’s got everything you need to know about building a brand in an industry that’s typically regarded as taboo - and shouldn’t be - and the challenges that come with it. And while I have you here I just want to give a huge thanks to everyone that has taken the time to leave a review, it really helps others ears find us and have a listen. If you’re loving these episodes as much as I am, please head to the app and leave us a review! This is Eva for Female Startup Club.📱 Join 160K smart chicks in the Female Startup Club universe→ Apply to join our inner circle: https://apply.femalestartupclub.com/apply→ Female Startup Club's Instagram: www.instagram.com/femalestartupclub→ Doone Roisin's Instagram: www.instagram.com/dooneroisin→ Get opportunities delivered to your inbox here: https://female-startup-club.beehiiv.com/ Hosted on Acast. How to launch products in the CBD space and why consumer education and regulations need to evolve with Nia Davies, Co-Founder of Yugenial
Today I’m chatting to Nia Davies about her self funded CBD wellness startup called Yugenial. This was such a fascinating episode and I was learning a lot about an industry I know little about. We’re covering the challenges Nia faces in building a business that fits into what the government calls a ‘high risk’ space, how she works around the fact that normal marketing channels aren’t accessible for her and why we need more consumer education and regulations to evolve.LINKS:Yugenial's Instagram Nia's InstagramYugenial: https://yugenial.com/ 📱 Join 160K smart chicks in the Female Startup Club universe→ Apply to join our inner circle: https://apply.femalestartupclub.com/apply→ Female Startup Club's Instagram: www.instagram.com/femalestartupclub→ Doone Roisin's Instagram: www.instagram.com/dooneroisin→ Get opportunities delivered to your inbox here: https://female-startup-club.beehiiv.com/ Hosted on Acast. Did you know chewing gum has plastic in it and it’s the world’s second most common form of litter? Zabrina Ziegler on how to build a sustainable startup and True Gum’s mission to educate and create impact.
Welcome back to another episode of Female Startup Club. The flavour of the hour today is a nifty brand called True Gum that produces all natural, plastic free chewing gum out of Denmark. And yes I know exactly what you're thinking... And it is true. Chewing Gum has plastic in it and how gross is that. But the funny thing about this brand is that I actually spotted them in my favourite cafe in Geneva and bought a pack, loved it, searched it on IG and became an instant fangirl. They've got such a beautiful and educational Instagram which is where I learnt that chewing gum has plastic in it and after I googled the brand I was happy to see there's a female founder in the mix, and alas that's my intro to the brand. I got in touch on Instagram and the rest is history. To put things into perspective, True Gum is now stocked in thousands of supermarkets around Europe and the world, and is producing up to 500 kilos of chewing gum each day in their own factory.TOPICS COVERED:Zabrina’s life before working on True GumThe True Gum origin storyHow they reached their first customersInvesting and partnering with another Startup to grow your productThe struggles of switching from kitchen production to a factory manufacturerThe importance of having the right packagingHow to sell your product in a large retail store, merchandising and POS Reaching online customersHow having the right investors can help your product developmentEducating customers on the right choices for being sustainable and making the way in big supermarketsTrue Gum: Focusing on being plastic-freeHow Covid-19 has impacted the productPlastic waste and how it affects our environmentThe True Gum marketing strategy: Being organic and plastic freeZabrina’s advice on women who want to kick off a sustainable startupZabrina on winning the day and dealing with failureLINKS WE MENTION:True GumTrue Gum's Instagram Zabrina’s email: zabrina@truegum.com📱 Join 160K smart chicks in the Female Startup Club universe→ Apply to join our inner circle: https://apply.femalestartupclub.com/apply→ Female Startup Club's Instagram: www.instagram.com/femalestartupclub→ Doone Roisin's Instagram: www.instagram.com/dooneroisin→ Get opportunities delivered to your inbox here: https://female-startup-club.beehiiv.com/ Hosted on Acast.
