👉🏻 Our guest is David Grigsby, PT, Cert. MDT. David graduated in 2002 from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. In August 2006, he achieved Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) credentialing with the McKenzie Institute, an international institute specializing in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal spine and extremity disorders. Since October 2007, he has owned and provided care at MidSouth Orthopaedic Rehabilitation. He has provided telehealth visits for 10 years. David is actively involved with the Practice-Based Evidence Research Network which has published 8 studies on the assessment and treatment of low back and neck pain. Their papers have been published in the Journal of Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy (JOSPT), the Journal of Manual and Manipulative Therapy (JMMT), and more recently in Physiotherapy Research International. Winner of the John Medeiros Award in 2010 from JMMT for the paper with the most impact, and the D. L. Hart International Research Award in 2016 from Focus on Therapeutic Outcomes.

She holds a B.A. in Human and Experimental Psychology from UCSB with Highest Honors, an M.A. in Physical Therapy from Stanford U. with Highest Honors, and a doctorate in Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture, with Highest Honors. In addition, she has studied extensively with the internationally known homeopath, Ananda Zaren. Mentored by Dr. John Upledger, Melinda has taught internationally for The Upledger Institute since 1988 and has been in private practice since 1977. A research director and team leader for The Upledger Foundation-Ricky Williams Foundation Concussion Studies, she treated ex NFL players with documented concussion history using Craniosacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation. 👉🏻 Our guest is Georg Supp, PT, Dip. MDT. Georg graduated as a physical therapist in 1992. Since 1997 he has run the rehabilitation center PULZ in Freiburg in Germany. He received the Diploma in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy from The McKenzie Institute International in 1999. Georg is co-author of many German textbooks and he also has published articles, comments, and letters in several peer-reviewed journals. He is an international instructor of the McKenzie Institute International and vice president of the German McKenzie branch. Georg is the secretary of the International MDT Research Foundation (IMDTRF) and founder of IMDTRF Germany. He’s also a member of the Education Council of the McKenzie Institute International. Currently, Georg is conducting research on spinal / extremity differentiation (EXPOSS), patient-therapist communication, and return to activity for spinal patients. In 2018 Georg received the ‘Stone of the Wise’ from the German PT Association Physio Deutschland to honor his dedication to the profession

👉🏻 Our guest is Cora Aytona, DPT, OCS, Dip. MDT, FAAOMPT graduated from the University of the Philippines with a BS in Physical Therapy in 1993 and completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Saint Augustine in Florida in 2008. She has been utilizing the principles of MDT evaluation and treatment since 1998, becoming Certified in 2000 and Diplomaed in 2002. She successfully achieved Fellowship in Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy in 2015. Cora was appointed Teaching Faculty for The McKenzie Institute in 2006 and promoted to Senior Faculty in 2015. She was also appointed to the McKenzie Institute USA Board of Directors in July 2019. Cora is a Clinical Mentor for DPT students in her area as well as an active contributor to MDT research. Her article, Rapid Resolution of Chronic Shoulder Pain: A Case Series, was published in The Journal of Manual and Manipulative Therapy (JMMT) in 2013.

👉🏻 Our Guest is Dr. Mark Laslett, Ph.D., NZRPS, FNZCP, Dip.MT, Dip.MDT. In 1971 Mark graduated from The New Zealand School of Physiotherapy. In 1976 He attained the Diploma in Manipulative Therapy from The New Zealand Manipulative Therapists Association (Dip. MT) in 1976, the Diploma in Mechanical Diagnosis & Therapy from the McKenzie Institute International in 1991, and graduated as Ph.D. in 2005 in Sweden through the Department of Medicine of Linköping University. Dr. Laslett practiced in a musculoskeletal clinic between 1971-2001 in Auckland and continuously practiced in Christchurch from 2006 till nowadays. He is a former instructor for the New Zealand Manipulative Physiotherapists Association (NZMPA), Auckland University of Technology (AUT), and an international instructor for the McKenzie Institute International (he ceased teaching for the McKenzie Institute in 1998). Mark continues in part-time specialist musculoskeletal practice. In 2015 he co-founded “Southern Musculoskeletal Seminars” with Dr. Angela Cadogan, which provides structured online education courses for clinicians on musculoskeletal diagnostics and pain science. Mark has over 40 publications, many of which relate to the diagnosis and management of low back pain.

She runs her own private practice where she works as a consultant physiotherapist and provides diagnostic and management review and specialist rehabilitation for people with complex shoulder conditions.
