It's not your fault, but it is your responsibility

Everything in my life is my responsibility. This is my mantra and it has served me my entire life.I talk openly about my past; about the sexual abuse, growing up with a mother with bipolar, being in the foster system, my husband dying. It’s a lot... and none of it was my fault. But I've learned that I have the opportunity to choose how I respond to the things that were out of my control. This topic has been coming up a lot with my clients lately and it’s something I feel so passionate about. This episode is all about taking responsibility for those terrible and horrible things that have happened to you and turning them around for your good. This is the work that I constantly do and teach to my clients. Those things are never our fault, but they are our responsibility. So my challenge to you today is, what area of your life can you take responsibility for? Maybe it’s managing your emotions and not flying into a rage when things go wrong. Maybe it’s looking at the state of your relationships, your bank account balance or things going wrong in your business. In life, things will happen that are completely out of your control. You don’t get to choose what happens, but you DO get to choose how you respond. It’s not your fault, but it is your responsibility.Be encouraged, my love.  You can make your life whatever you want it to be, no matter what has happened. Episodes we mentioned in this episode:Life Lessons Series: Losing My HusbandGrowing Up With A Bipolar MotherReuniting with my Dad after 20 yearsWhy I’m having surgeryPost OpMy journey with Lichen SclerosisWhere To Find Erika:BUY MY BOOKInstagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.com👑 Want to request a podcast? 1 Million Downloads - Hearing from the listeners

You guys, we have hit 1 MILLION downloads! I was trying to decide how I wanted to celebrate this milestone and to be honest, I really just wanted to hear from the listeners.I wanted to hear from you. What episodes really resonated with you and what action did you take to change your life as a result? So I decided to host a Clubhouse room to have a party so that I could spend some time and hear from anyone that wanted to jump in and chat about the podcast. We had people join in from all over the world and it got me pretty emotional I have to admit. It is hard for me to take compliments and really soak it up when I get praise, so this definitely had me out of my comfort zone. For those of you who couldn’t make it on Clubhouse, we recorded everything so you can be a fly on the wall!Thank you to all of my amazing listeners out there. I really genuinely want people to change their lives with this content, and I want you to know that I appreciate every single download.I love you.Episodes we mentioned in this episode:Stop Thinking Start DoingWhy Don’t We Love OurselvesGrowing Up With A Bipolar MotherLosing My HusbandThe Work with Byron KatieThe Cost of Playing SmallWhere To Find Erika:BUY MY BOOKInstagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.com👑 Want to request a podcast? The last chapter: behind the scenes of my process

This is an episode that I never meant to be an episode.I was listening back through my old voice memos on my phone, and I found this one where Hamish and I were talking through the last chapter of my book. I wanted to take you behind the scenes with me, back to the moment where we decided what the last chapter needed to say.By this point, I had written so much. I had stayed up so late for so many nights in a row just ferociously writing, editing, reading, and I was exhausted. But I was also so on fire knowing that this book was going to get done, and it was going to be everything that I hoped it would be.To have the support of my husband Hamish through writing this book was so incredible. He is so thoughtful, patient and reframes things for me when I need it. You’ll hear how we bounce ideas off each other in this episode and the moment that I had my most powerful breakdown.Thank you for being on this journey with me.Where To Find Erika:BUY MY BOOKInstagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.com👑 Want to request a podcast? Healing after a breakup

I have a lot of women in my programs, clients of mine that are single and looking for love. They've been healing from a shitty relationship and they've lost their confidence in getting back out there. They want to know how to overcome it. My love, I have been there too. It's not my current reality obviously as I'm with the man of my absolute dreams, but that wasn't always the case. I have been in some terrible relationships with men that have treated me so badly, and I stayed.I stayed until they broke up with me. I was the damaged goods. I felt like I had done something wrong, I wasn't good enough and that's why they left. These men weren't right for me and yet when we would break up, I would feel horrible. My confidence was through the floor and I thought I would never find love. So, how do you heal after a break up? How do you gain your confidence back?It all starts with you.Take a look at the relationship. Was it really that good? What were you seeking that you'd hoped you'd find in that relationship? Who were you possibly pretending to be, to fit into what they wanted. Breakups are always hard, but there is so much to gain from looking at it as an opportunity for growth. There is love out there for you but the love for yourself must come first.Where To Find Erika:BUY MY BOOKInstagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.com👑 Want to request a podcast? Stop trying to please the unpleasable

We all have those people in our lives who no matter what you do, no matter how much you bend over backward to try and help them, it’s never enough. They are simply unpleasable. And you know what? It’s not your job to please them.I’ve certainly encountered some unpleasable people in my life so I thought this episode would be a great invitation to you to start letting go of the need to please. Because the more you try to please other people, the less you please yourself. And YOU are the most important person in your life. It all comes back to your mindset. Are you going to live your life based on other people’s expectations? Or are you going to fuck what other’s think? #FWOTWhere To Find Erika:BUY MY BOOKInstagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.com👑 Want to request a podcast? Who is "they"?

I hear a lot of people refer to “they” when they’re talking about a problem they’re facing. They will judge me, they always criticize me, they won’t understand... But catch yourself, who is “they?” I can tell you, it’s not everyone. It’s likely one person. So this episode is a bit of a loving bitchslap from your girl Erika to shake you out of that thinking, help you identify what the real problem is and decide on the action you’re going to take. It’s one person. Maybe you just need to have a conversation. Where To Find Erika:BUY MY BOOKInstagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.com👑 Want to request a podcast? Why we keep burning out with Amie Mcnee

For those of you that have been following along on my journey for a while, you will know that 2020 was one of the biggest years of my life professionally. My business experienced incredible growth, I welcomed so many more members into the Sistahood and I launched my first mastermind to help businesswomen scale their businesses and make huge impact. It has been so rewarding, but now looking back on that I am realising what a crazy time that was and how all of us were set up to fail as far as not taking time to rest, feeling like we needed to hustle to change our business models due to covid and to give as much as we could to our communities who were all needing support. So I did all the things. I got it all done, but by the end of the year I was severely rundown, my immune system was shot, I had a fatty liver and I was wrecked. I vowed that 2021 would be different and then the year started out to be just as crazy if not crazier than 2020. Something needs to give. I am now truly realising and leaning into the fact that I need to slow down. I have been burnt out and it’s exhausting. My guest today on the podcast is Amie Mcnee and is the perfect woman to chat to about this topic. This is actually her second time on the podcast too. Amie is a phenomenal writer and you need to go follow her on Instagram. She is so honest, thought-provoking and really honest about what she needs. Amie has written extensively on the topic of burnout and I want you to really take what you can from this episode. Please learn from the experiences that we share today and take a look at how you run your life too.LINKS:Amie’s previous episode on The Confidence ChroniclesFor The Burnt Out Artist https://www.amiemcnee.com/shop/p/for-the-burnt-out-artistFor the Procrastinatorhttps://www.amiemcnee.com/shop/p/we-need-your-art-collectionFor the Perfectionisthttps://www.amiemcnee.com/shop/p/we-need-your-art-collectionThe Journaling Course https://www.amiemcnee.com/journaling-courseWHERE TO FIND ERIKA:BUY MY BOOKInstagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: 👑 Want to request a podcast? The #1 killer of confidence

What you believe about yourself is everything. It shapes how you think, it shapes what you do, it shapes what you believe about the world and the people around you. So what do you think your life is going to be like if you believe you can’t do it, that you’re not good enough, that you’re not worthy or strong enough or smart enough? You will be those things. So if you want to absolutely murder confidence, all you need to do is believe you can’t be confident. This episode is all about quieting the mind and tuning in to the inner voice to find out what you truly, deeply believe. Somewhere deep inside, we all have a knowing that we are greater than what we look like, what we do and what labels we put on ourselves. That small inner voice says you CAN do it, that you are capable of anything your heart desires. It’s time to turn up the inner voice and turn down the inner critic. It’s time to choose what you will believe. Because you get to decide whatever you believe about yourself. YOU get to create whatever the fuck you want.Where To Find Erika:BUY MY BOOKInstagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.com👑 Want to request a podcast? The Biggest Realisation I've Ever Had - IGTV

I'm in a huge lesson at the moment and I don't have an answer for you. This episode is for me as much as it's for you. Recently I've come to the realisation that I absolutely do not value rest. In my life, there has been no evidence that rest has been the answer to anything. All through my childhood, I had to work hard to get anything. I had to hustle. I had to bust my ass to get what I needed, and I've taken this mentality into adulthood. So I worked incredibly hard to achieve all the things that I've been able to achieve and this hustle was necessary. We were not in a great position when I started my business. I needed to work hard. But now I don't need to work so hard, and also I'm realising it's not sustainable. My life is so beautiful and I am so fortunate. I just need to remind myself of this more often and take restorative rest. Appreciate where you are right now and take away from it what you can.Where To Find Erika:BUY MY BOOKInstagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.com👑 Want to request a podcast?
