Ed Stott & The Big Life Questions
Edwina Stott
One big question at a time. Explored, untangled, and (possibly) solved.
Self-improvement is everywhere but most of it's overly simplistic, shouty, and backed by vibes, not evidence.
I'm Ed Stott, former BBC & ABC journalist turned independent audio doco maker, obsessed with figuring out how to live better. (That obsession once led to 50 stand-up gigs in 6 months… but more on that later.)
Each month, I tackle one big, messy life question like "What's my purpose?" or "Should I quit my job?" and get real answers from the world's sharpest minds.
No fluff. Just big ideas, explored creatively, to help you make sense of your life.

But what if we could work with our bodies to make exercise easier, more effective and more enjoyable? In this episode Dr Stacy talks us through how to turn our cycle into our workout's secret weapon, plus a few other tips to optimise & focus our workouts. Grey Area Drinking: How to Re-evaluate Your Relationship with Alcohol
The morning Sarah Rusbatch realised that her relationship with alcohol needed to change, she woke up in blood stained bed sheets with her 5 year old daughter peering at her face asking her what had happened. This sounds like an extreme story, but Sarah says that her relationship with alcohol would be familiar to SO many of us. BUT the night before she'd been at a 40th birthday party where the wine was flowing, she'd nipped outside for a cigarette and when she reached down to stub it out, she toppled over her heels and landed face first on the concrete. I'm sure you have a similar story - one where a few two many drinks has left you feeling anxious & embarrassed. I know I do. Sarah says that morning left her with an overwhelming feeling that there was another way of living. In 2019 she quit booze completely & is now an accredited Grey Area Drinking Coach.
