THINNING OF THE VEIL

God our Heavenly Father seeks to extend familial relationships to each of His Sons and Daughters on both sides of the veil. These relationships do not end when one has passed to the other side. In fact, in some cases the bond gets stronger. Four sisters, had faith in the promise that the Lord could let them know who needed help on the other side of the veil. Each one of them had their own unique experience which not only strengthened their sister bonds, but also help them to bond with other family members through the generations. Families may not be perfect now, but in the work of the gathering, a healing occurs from one generation to the next. The living helping the dead, and the dead healing the living. Family relationships are very complicated and can be the cause of so much of our individual suffering. Generational trauma is a very serious epidemic within our society at large with relational conflict existing at an all time high. Is there a solution to this vexing problem? While the solution is not so simple, one of the avenues the Lord has given all of us experiencing generational trauma is temple and family history work. Truly when we extend the opportunity to our ancestors of making a covenant with the Savior in the temple and the furthering giving of Priesthood power, the generations heal going forward and backward. Although the Vision of the Redemption of the Dead was received by Joseph F. Smith in 1918, it could not be more pertinent to the Saints today. The doctrines that flow from this revelatory Thinning of the Veil experience have unique implications for our day. One of the many ways that God gives revelation to His children here on earth is through Visions. This episode explains the difference between a dream and a vision, the importance of visions, and why we might have our own visions. The testimonies of prophets past and present testify to the validity that every day saints can have this gift of the spirit if they obey the commandments, keep their covenants, and are heavily involved in the Gathering of Israel. Many of us deny revelatory experiences through dreams. Yet, the Lord has repeatedly communicated to His children here on Earth through dreams. Some dreams are full of encouragement. Some dreams are a warning, and some dreams are prophetic in nature. But the most sweet revelatory dreams happen on behalf of those who are gathering Israel. There can be no tender mercy sent from the Lord more special than these dearly missed loved ones who are given messages through dreams, allowing for the special, sacred interactions from distant existences. This episode details a very recent, most extraordinary thinning of the veil experience from the host of this podcast, Tia Smith. The Lord is eager to share revelatory experiences with the our children, grandchildren, and youth of the church as a whole. A beautiful illustration of the Lord giving "babes and sucklings" a thinning of the veil experience is powerfully taught in 3 Nephi. This episode is a testament to how a parent's influence on their children matters, but also the special capacity of our children to receive very clear instructions from the Lord.
