THINNING OF THE VEIL

"I've hit a wall!", is a common complaint of most genealogists. Despite all of their best efforts, they cannot find the one missing link in their family chain. Colette gives some hints and tricks on where to start if you cannot find that one ancestor who is making you pull your hair out. Heber J. Grant lost both of his son's in early childhood. Daniel Wells Grant was five years old when he died of a hip disease. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucy, three years prior. Heber was having a hard time letting Daniel go, when he had a dream that included Lucy coming from the other side of the veil to take Daniel home. The Lord allowed this thinning of the veil experience for many reasons. One of which was preparation but also a knowledge that his son would not be alone and that he would once again be reunited with his loving mother. This allowed Heber to see the eternal nature of familial relationships and feel more at peace at the loss of his son. In October of 2015, I had the most profound thinning of the veil experience. The Lord allowed me to have a sacred, revelatory interaction with my two children, Morgan and Logan Van Smith (twins) who passed away in 1999. The messages that Morgan and Logan testified of were all about the importance of familial relationships, their involvement in the gathering of Israel on the other side of the veil and a testimony of the importance of temples on both sides of the veil. Parents who experience the pain of losing a child at whatever age and stage, find their testimony of the Atonement of Jesus Christ in the forefront of their minds. The doctrine of the salvation of little children is one of the most divine, merciful, and hopeful doctrines that have been restored to the earth in these latter days.
