Fake News Friday | CBC fails to debunk “bugs conspiracy theory”

It’s Fake News Friday with Andrew Lawton and Harrison Faulkner! This week, the CBC attempted to debunk the “conspiracy theory” that a London facility was producing crickets for human consumption. Unfortunately for the state broadcaster, the facility’s developers acknowledge that crickets are in fact being made for humans. Whoops –another failed attempt by the CBC to debunk a “conspiracy theory.” Next up on the cancellation block is – surprise, surprise – Winston Churchill. According to an op-ed in the CBC, the leader who defeated the rise of fascism in Europe has “outdated views” and should no longer be commemorated as per the standards of 2022. Lastly, news that really matters to Canadians – do Nanaimo bars have flour in them? This week, Conservative leadership candidate Pierre Poilievre was blasted for promoting the story of a baker who’s expenses for flour, eggs and butter has risen due to inflation, making it harder to bake Canada’s national treat: Nanaimo bars. Time for some top-tier journalisming to figure out if these tasty treats have flour! Tune in to Fake News Friday on True North!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information. Fake News Friday | Pierre Poilievre exposes Global News

On this week’s episode of Fake News Friday, Harrison Faulkner and Rupa Subramanya look at Global News’ deep-dive into the alleged threat of the “far right” in Canada. Their journalisming revealed that everybody is “far right” apparently. From a single photograph between Pierre Poilievre and a controversial podcaster, Global News has concluded that Poilievre is actually a far-right politician in disguise. Not only that, but Global News claims that podcasters are “dangerous sources of misinformation” and are apparently a threat to democracy. On a sillier note, Wendy’s is siding with Lisa LaFlamme. That’s right, the fast-food chain changed their logo to a girl with grey hair in solidarity with the fired CTV host. ….Alrighty then. Fake News Friday | Journalists cry over mean tweets

It’s Fake News Friday! This week, True North’s Harrison Faulkner hosts the show and is joined by Rupa Subramanya! This week, instead of reporting on news that matters to Canadians, so-called journalists in the legacy media made themselves the centre of attention. The Canadian Association of Journalists (CAJ) released a list a of demands to the police after allegedly receiving online threats. Threats are of course unacceptable, but where was the outrage from the CAJ when independent journalists were being assaulted by police during the Freedom Convoy? Why isn’t the CAJ up in arms about the fact that two-sitting elected officials attacked Rupa for uncovering the government’s political vaccine mandates? Plus, the legacy media’s fear mongering about Pierre Poilievre continues – this time, a Toronto Star columnist claims Poilievre is fuelling “Christian nationalism.” Give us a break…Tune into Fake News Friday with Harrison Faulkner and Rupa Subramanya!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information. Poilievre Derangement Syndrome is running at an all-time high! This week, multiple legacy media outlets claimed Canadians were scared of Conservative leadership candidate Pierre Poilievre because former prime minister Stephen Harper endorsed the Carleton MP to become leader. Andrew Lawton and Harrison Faulkner discuss why these reports and polls can’t be trusted.Plus, a Globe and Mail columnist says the World Economic Forum’s claim that “you will own nothing and be happy” is apparently “misinformation.”And the Toronto Star runs a Facebook ad, claiming their a “trusted news source” and gets absolutely roasted by Canadians.Tune into this week’s edition of Fake News Friday with Andrew Lawton and Harrison Faulkner!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information. Fake News Friday | The legacy media defends Trudeau’s “well-deserved” vacation

After a month of criss-crossing the country for photo opportunities while simultaneously increasing his carbon footprint, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that he is taking a two-week vacation in Costa Rica. This is of course a legitimate news story, but according to some in the legacy media, we should just leave Trudeau alone and let him deserve his “well-deserved” break. Plus, the legacy media continues to ignore a bombshell story by True North’s Rupa Subramanya, which revealed that the Trudeau government’s travel mandates were based on politics, not science. The CBC published an op-ed, arguing that electric vehicles are not enough to address climate change. We will now have to get rid of cars altogether. When will the climate madness end? And to wrap up, the Toronto Sun falls for an obviously scripted pro wrestling storyline and reports it as news. Andrew Lawton and Harrison Faulkner lay the smackdown on the legacy media in this week’s edition of Fake News Friday! Tune in now!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information. Fake News Friday | The demonization of the Freedom Convoy won’t stop

This week, the Trudeau government and the legacy media were up in arms about a flag being draped over the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, calling it an act of “desecration.” Where was the outrage when statues of Sir John A Macdonald and Queen Victoria were toppled and vandalized by radical activists?Plus, remember that time when the Freedom Convoy protested Pope Francis when he was in Canada? Us neither. Although the media claimed it was going to happen, it never actually happened in reality. That’s literally fake news! And this week, the CBC somehow wrote an entire story about farming without a single mention of the threat of the Trudeau government’s fertilizer reduction scheme and its effect on farmers across Canada. Bravo. These stories and more on this week’s edition of Fake News Friday with Andrew Lawton and Harrison Faulkner!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information. Learn more about your ad choices. Fake News Friday | Media goes quiet as Trudeau dodges mask rules

It’s Fake News Friday with Andrew Lawton and Harrison Faulkner! In Canada, travellers on commercial trains are still required by law to wear a mask at all times. However, if you’re the prime minister participating in a photo-op on a train, no mask is needed. Does that make sense to you? Probably not but as Canadians have been told since the start of the pandemic – trust Trudeau’s ever-changing Covid science! Plus, Joe Rogan blasts Trudeau, calling him a “creepy dictator” and of course, the Tru-Anon gang comes to the defence of Canada’s prime minister. The state broadcaster gives Canadians some timely financial advice as inflation hits a record-high 8.1% – just ask for a raise or get a better job. Stop being poor, obviously. And finally – for the low price of $58, you can dismantle white supremacy by buying a box of vegetables. Tune into Fake News Friday!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information. The legacy media doesn’t understand why Canadians don’t trust them

It’s Fake News Friday on the Candice Malcolm Show! This week, Candice and Harrison Faulkner discuss why Canadians no longer have trust in our national institutions and why the blame should be put on the institutions and the legacy media – despite their best attempts to convince you otherwise. The legacy media and other government institutions have failed to hold government to account and failed to serve the interests of Canadians. Also on the show this week, some MPs are too afraid to walk outside because of mean tweets – so much so that they are now requesting “panic buttons” to be able to alert local authorities to come to their aid if they feel they are in danger. Why didn’t MPs need “panic buttons” after a terrorist stormed parliament? Why have our politicians become so meek and mild? Finally, a CBC op-ed writer whines about the fact that men can no longer compete in women’s swimming competitions and believes that Canada is “excluding” men from competing against women in sports. Should the Conservatives embrace woke progressive ideas to beat Trudeau?

The majority of Canadians did not vote for Justin Trudeau in the last election. In fact, the Liberals won with the smallest share of the vote in Canadian history. It’s clear many Canadians do not approve of Trudeau running the country – this means the next Conservative leader has a very good chance of beating Trudeau in the next election. However, the same was said during the last three elections. Conservatives have come very close in every election since 2015 but have fallen short in dethroning Trudeau. What’s the path to victory for the Conservatives? In recent weeks, we’ve started hearing the same failed strategy from the failed backrooms of the party. They argue that the party should become more like the Liberals and NDP – embrace leftist progressive ideologies in order to win. They think the Conservatives should be fiscally prudent and socially woke. These strategists are wrong. We just need to look at how poorly Erin O’Toole performed in the last election to see that this strategy did not work. On this episode of The Candice Malcolm Show, Candice is joined by pollster Hamish Marshall to discuss why the Red Tory/Blue Liberal strategy just doesn’t work, why O’Toole failed despite his best attempts to woo leftist voters and what the next Conservative leader needs to do in order to win.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
