Dana got a Ph.D. in quantum optics at the U of Arizona and started guiding cold atoms through hollow core optical fibers in the mid-1990s. Excited about the tremendous potential of the Bose-Einstein Condensate, he founded ColdQuanta in 2007. Today, the company has a wide-ranging portfolio that includes Hilbert - a gate-based quantum computer that uses lasers to cool ions to extremely low temps - and Albert - a cloud-accessible BEC implementation specifically targeting the development of sensing (inertial and RF) and quantum signal processing. Jack is a serial entrepreneur and co-founder of several tech companies, including EarthWeb/Dice, which he led from its founding through IPO. In July, SandboxAQ was selected for NIST’s National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence Migration to Post-Quantum Cryptography Project. With a focus on encryption management for large enterprises and governments in the face of Store-now-decrypt-later attacks, SandboxAQ developed AQ Analyzer - a piece of enterprise software that crawls around on prem or in the cloud to uncover encryption vulnerabilities. The company is also working on quantum-driven solutions in biopharma, materials science, and battery chemistry. (He did eventually spend 10 years in management roles at NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s Human #Space Flight program.) Tony founded Honeywell Quantum Solutions and served as its President before the creation of Quantinuum. Before Honeywell, he was a Principal at Boston Consulting Group (BCG). We had a great discussion about the company’s recent achievement of a quantum volume of 8192, their second new record in a year. After receiving his PhD in coherent quantum comtrol of cold Rubidium atoms, Richard worked in the private sector--helped Oakley look at using nano structures to polarize their sunglasses! He led Innovate UK's £32 million program focused on quantum technologies, but had always wanted to start a company.  So, in 2019, Richard co-founded ORCA Computing. His distinguished team identified that short-term quantum memories could synchronize photonic operations, performing what is known as "spectral multiplexing."
