A grand jury has indicted former Donald Trump adviser Steve Bannon for contempt of Congress, the Justice Department announced today. In a last ditch effort to prevent the release of hundreds of personal documents, former President Trump won a temporary pause on releasing White House records to the House select committee investigating the January 6 attack on the US Capitol. The injunction is to protect the court's jurisdiction to address appellant's claims of executive privilege and should not be construed as a ruling on merit.  The defense has rested their case today in the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse, a teenager faced with several charges of homicide in 2020 following social unrest in Kenosha, Wisconsin. In an emotional testimony, defendant Kyle Rittenhouse cried when describing the events which lead to the fatal shooting of two people in August of 2020. Ten new subpoenas have been released targeting high-ranking Trump loyalists including Stephen Miller and Kayleigh McEnany. With Attorney General Merrick Garland yet to weigh in on behalf of the DOJ regarding criminal contempt charges for Steve Bannon, some recipients have already indicated they will not comply with the subpoenas.  Narcan, an opioid inhibitor used to prevent drug overdoses, was administered by first responders to attendants at the Travis Scott concert in Houston, Texas.
