Bible Prophecy Under the Microscope-Episode 70 Gary responds to a clip from a prophecy pundit on Facebook claiming that the Statue of Liberty is found in the book of Revelation. The harlot in Revelation 17 has been given hundreds of identities over the years, but they have all been wrong, and so is this one regarding the Statue of Liberty.

Gary welcomes Kim Burgess back to answer a listener's question about 1 Corinthians 15:24–28. The preliminary work of Christ in the period of AD 30 to 70 was to bring in the Kingdom of God. That work specifically involved making of none effect the "rulers, authorities, and powers" (vs. 24) that stood in the way of the coming of the Kingdom, referred to in vs. 25 as Christ's "enemies."

Gary discusses education and how children are being taught today compared to 50 years ago. Tried and true methods like memorizing math facts and phonics are being replaced by "new" methods that were promised to work better. They haven't, and states like Mississippi are going back to the "old" ways and seeing great improvements.

Bible Prophecy Under the Microscope-Episode 69 Gary discusses another "key" prophetic sign that many say is happening in our present day. Many of these "signs" hinge on Israel, and one of the big ones is the "regathering" of Jews into the land. Gary shows how this prophecy from Isaiah has already been fulfilled.

Gary is interviewed by Rick Welch of The Burros of Berea podcast about old Christmas movies. Gary gives a lot of background information about the two films discussed in this first part (Beyond Christmas and It's a Wonderful Life). These older films can often be dismissed as "out of touch," but Gary shows that this is far from the truth. They are great lessons about both life and history (among other topics). Bible Prophecy Under the Microscope-Episode 68 Reading the Bible is more than just understanding the words on the page; the words were said or written in a particular historical time and place and meant something significant to that audience. We must read and interpret the Bible, especially prophetic passages, with that historical awareness in mind.

Gary and Kim Burgess conclude their discussion of 1 Corinthians 15. In verse 52, the Apostle Paul mentions "the last trumpet" and in 1 Thessalonians 4:16 he also connects the last trumpet with a "shout." Trumpets and shouts should remind us of Jericho, and Kim brings up many other verses in the Old and New Testaments that help us to understand what Paul is teaching in 1 Cor 15.

Gary comments on an article that claims the current "replacement theology" affecting the Church is replacing Christ with Israel. Evangelicals' obsession with promoting American involvement with and financial and military support of Israel in any and every situation is claimed to be the Christian approach, but is this really the case?
