What Does It Mean To Be Human, According To The Bible? (87)
What does it mean to be human? The effort to understand this question, that is, the study of what it means to be human, is the study of Anthropology. The word comes from two Greek words, anthropos, meaning “man,” and logos, meaning “word.” So anthropology is words about, speech about, study about, what it means to be human.
So, what does the Bible say about what it means to be human?

This is a remastered repost of episode #16. Updated 2/28/2020.
Followers of Jesus in the United States must come to grips with a rather unfortunate reality: we are living in a post-Christian nation. Our culture and its guiding ideas are constantly changing. Because of this, the need for the prophetic voice of the Church in the world has never been needed with greater urgency. You can read the full article by Chaseton Hahn and Joel Settecase at /https://thethink.institute/articles/top-10-benefits-of-bringing-apologetics-into-the-life-of-your-church.

Unbelievable Interview With Philosopher Paul Gould (Sons of Thunder) (86)
Paul Gould, Ph.D is a philosopher, scholar, teacher, the founder and president of the Two Tasks Institute and a Visiting Fellow at the Henry Center for Theological Understanding at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Most importantly, he is a follower of Christ. He's also just a great guy to have a conversation with. Joel and Parker (the SONS OF THUNDER) enjoy a pretty loose and free-ranging conversation on everything from abstract objects, to the plausibility of Christianity for Gen Z'ers, and beyond. This episode also serves as Part 2 of the Sons of Thunder conversation on God and Time. This is the first time the guys have had a guest on, so enjoy!

How Do The Heavens Declare The Glory Of God? With Daniel Ray (18)
Psalm 19:1 says, "The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the expanse proclaims the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour out speech;
night after night they communicate knowledge.
So it sounds like the more we study the heavens, or outer space, the more we ought to come to glorify God. We might expect modern scientists to be the most devout Christians, and yet many of the scientific fields are dominated today by atheists and unbelievers.
My guest today wants to change that situation and show everyone how astronomy and astrophysics, which unravel the mysteries of the universe, bring glory to God.
On this episode of the Think Podcast I speak with Dan Ray about his book, The Story of the Cosmos.

9 Ways To Tell If God Is Speaking To You (85)
When you get an impression, and you think it might be from God, how do you know? How can you tell? Should we always just simply say, “No, God is done speaking?” Or, should we say, “well, in 1 Thessalonians 5:20-21, Paul tells us, “Do not despise prophecies, but test everything; hold fast what is good,” therefore we should embrace these impressions as from God, every time, in the name of honoring prophecy?
The Bible teaches us the importance of testing messages, testing “spirits,” to see whether they are from God (1 John 4:1).
So I want to share 9 ways you can answer the question, “How to know if God is speaking to you.”

82 - Brief Guide: The Meaning of Life
“What is the meaning of life?” is often asked almost as a rhetorical question. Various answers are given. Many assume there is no objective meaning at all. However, the Bible has much to say about this topic, and we would do well to explore its ancient wisdom.

80 - Yes, The Apostles Did Believe Jesus Rose From The Dead, with Dr. Sean McDowell
The central fact of the New Testament, and the one without which Christianity would be rendered not only false but also impotent and pitiable (according to 1 Corinthians 15:12-19), is the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The question of whether Christ's Apostles really believed he rose from the dead is paramount. So, does our current historical knowledge support the idea that they believed this? And did they die for this belief?
Many skeptics (including UNC professor Bart Ehrman) have asked the question. So we're talking with Dr. Sean McDowell, Associate Professor of Christian Apologetics program at Talbot School of Theology and the author, co-author, or editor of over twenty books including The Fate of the Apostles, which addresses this very subject.
Sean discusses biblical and extrabiblical evidence for the truth that the Apostles really did believe that Jesus rose from the dead (and why this is so important). He also answers the objections,
"Don't people die all the time for what they believe?"
"Couldn't the apostles have knowingly died for a lie?"
"How reliable are these historical accounts, anyway?"
