397. The EOS Journey (Year 2): Quarterly Pulsing #2
Would you rather read the transcript? Click here.
In my ongoing quest to keep this podcast fresh, I’m trying out a new angle for a few business episodes. Our practice is currently implementing the Entrepreneurial Operating System, or EOS, as we scale. My intent is to chronicle this journey in relative real-time, providing you all with an inside look into the process. Warning: this will be messy! I hope to keep it as real as possible, and sometimes “real” means complicated and challenging. This series is admittedly more relevant for larger group practice owners, but the principles are applicable across all levels of business.
Today, I’m talking about our second “quarterly pulsing” meeting with our implementer!

Would you rather read the transcript? Click here.
Have you thought about scaling your practice but couldn’t figure out where to start? Or wanted to hire someone to “make more money” even though the finances in your solo practice were already a little shaky? These are common thoughts and concerns for many practice owners once we think we’ve mastered solo practice. My guest today, Jessica Lackey, brings her knowledge from years in the corporate world – and her eventual decision to leave – to our conversation about scaling with integrity. These are just a few things that we talk about:
Three things we need in place before we start scaling
Why a VA may not be the best investment for your practice

388. Work-Life Balance w/ Whitney Owens
I’m honored to have Whitney Owens back on the podcast today. We’re tackling the often talked about but rarely achieved concept of work-life balance. Whitney and I have a deeper discussion than usual on the podcast…we get into the importance of a supportive community, having solid romantic and platonic relationships, and our own personal barriers to delegation. This was one of my favorite podcast “interviews” because it felt much more like a conversation between friends than anything else.
Enjoy!
